Transcript

Welcome to this meditation for your menstrual cycle.

This time in your body is one of deep release,

Rest,

And renewal.

As you listen,

Let this meditation be a time to honor your body,

Your emotions,

And the wisdom within you.

Know that it's okay to feel whatever comes up,

And that you are here to offer yourself peace and support.

Find a comfortable position,

Either lying down or seated.

Feel free to take your hands and gently rest them on your belly,

Close your eyes,

And take a deep breath in,

Slowly inhaling,

And then slowly exhaling out,

Allowing yourself to settle into this moment.

Now take a moment to notice your body.

Feel the ground beneath you,

Holding you up.

There is nothing you need to do right now,

But rest and release.

Let your breath deepen and soften,

And as you breathe in,

Feel a sense of warmth and nourishment filling your body.

As you exhale,

Imagine tension and discomfort melting away.

With your hands on your lower abdomen,

Imagine that with each breath,

You are sending warmth,

Love,

And compassion to this part of your body.

This is a time of release,

Both physical and emotionally.

Allow your breath to support you in this process,

Bringing relaxation into your womb space,

Your lower back,

And any other area of tension within your body.

Now,

Let's bring your awareness back to your breath.

As you inhale,

Imagine a soft,

Gentle light filling your body,

Bringing comfort,

Relaxation,

And renewal.

And as you exhale,

Allow anything you no longer need to flow out of you.

With each breath,

Let go of any emotional stress,

Heaviness,

And discomfort.

Inhale deeply,

Feeling your body with peace and calm,

And exhale slowly,

Releasing any tension,

Any stress,

Or any pain.

Continue breathing this way,

With each exhale,

Allowing things to be released,

Again,

Physical discomfort or emotional heaviness.

Trust that your body knows how to let it go.

Now as we breathe together,

Let's say a few affirmations to help reframe this time of month as one of rest,

Restoration,

And release.

Silently repeat these affirmations to yourself,

Or simply just listen and let them sink in.

I honor my body's wisdom and its natural cycles.

I give myself permission to rest and release.

My body knows how to heal and renew itself.

I embrace this time of softness and self-compassion.

I am safe to feel,

To release,

And to let go.

As you breathe,

Feel these words resonate deeply within you,

Softening any resistance and opening up space for you to rest and relax.

Allow your body to feel heavy and supported by the earth beneath you,

Knowing that it is okay to simply be.

To close,

Let's do a final visualization.

So,

Imagine a soft,

Warm,

Glowing light around your entire body,

Especially your womb and lower back.

This glow is a healing light,

One that supports your body in releasing and renewal.

Visualize this light expanding and filling you with peace,

Calm,

And deep relaxation.

As you rest here,

Know that this time of month is an invitation to slow down,

To be gentle with yourself,

And to release anything that no longer serves you.

When you are ready,

Take a few more deep breaths,

In and out,

And then gently begin to wiggle your fingers and toes,

Bringing awareness back into your body.

Remember,

This is a time to honor your body's needs for rest,

Softness,

And care.

Whenever you need to,

Please return to this space,

This space of ease and release.

Thank you for joining me on this meditation today.

Be well.
