Hello and welcome.

Thank you for taking this time to come together and pause.

This meditation is offered in honour of Samhain,

Or All Hallows' Eve.

That turning point between the light and the dark half of the year.

That time when the veils between the worlds are thinnest.

Now is a moment to pause between what has been and what is yet to come.

It's a time of reflection,

A time of release,

And a time of quiet renewal.

So,

Wherever you are,

Find a comfortable position,

Maybe sitting,

Maybe lying.

Allow your body to settle into stillness.

And when you feel ready,

Gently close your eyes.

Let your breath move slowly and naturally through your body.

With each exhale,

Allow yourself to arrive more fully in this moment.

Maybe take a deep inhale in,

And sigh it out.

Samhain reminds us that every ending holds the seed of a new beginning.

It invites us to listen inwardly and to be open to whatever our guides in this and other worlds have to tell us.

It encourages us to rest in the gentle quiet between the cycles.

It encourages us to look forward to renewal.

Begin by bringing some awareness to your breath now.

Notice the cool air as it enters through your body.

Notice your nostrils and that warmth as it leaves.

Feel the rhythm of your breathing.

It's steady,

Unhurried,

Grounded.

Maybe with one hand on the heart and one on your belly,

You bring some attention to your body.

Feel the earth holding you,

Solid,

Steady,

Patient.

Notice if you're carrying any tension with you.

Maybe in your jaw,

Have a smile.

Maybe in your shoulders,

Allow them to drop.

Allow your body to relax and let your breath flow all the way down,

Deep into your belly.

Just take a few moments here,

Simply breathing,

Inhaling and exhaling,

Just allowing the pace of your body to slow to the rhythm of your breath.

The rhythm of the season.

As autumn deepens,

Nature begins to draw inward.

We see the trees let go of their leaves.

The ground begins to grow quiet.

There's a natural pause here,

A stillness,

A time to go inward before renewal comes.

So allow yourself now to mirror this rhythm,

This rhythm of release and rest.

This is the time when the distance between our world and others is thinnest,

Where the veil can open,

What our spirit guides can call to us to help guide us on our path.

I'll ask you now to be open.

Open your heart.

Open up to anything they may want to tell you or show you.

This may not come now,

Maybe later in the daydream or while you're asleep.

But be open to thoughts and messages,

And notice if there are any signs for you.

Notice now if there's anything within you that feels ready to fall away.

Maybe a pattern,

A habit,

An expectation,

A memory.

You don't need to name it now or to fix it.

Just acknowledge that it no longer serves.

And imagine as you exhale,

It's a gentle release,

Like leaves loosening from their branches,

Starting to fall gracefully to the earth.

So now find some rest in that space that follows release.

You're in that space of tender quiet before the new growth begins.

Be open to what might be.

Be mindful to what has been.

There's nothing to do here,

Nothing to achieve.

Just breathe and be.

This space,

This pause,

Is sacred.

It's where stillness transforms into possibility.

You might want to imagine now as you inhale,

A warm glow filling you up,

Flowing down as you breathe in,

And as you breathe out,

Rising up through your body,

Through the chakras,

Up into your head,

And releasing beyond.

The light is steady,

It's warm,

It's calm.

It illuminates the space within you where endings and beginnings meet.

With each breath,

This light steadies,

It guides you inwards,

Helping you to see clearly what is ready to rest and what is quietly awakening.

If thoughts arise now,

Let them drift past like mist in a breeze.

Return to your breath,

To that feeling of being here right now,

Supported and held.

Allow yourself to rest and trust,

Acknowledging that life moves in cycles,

That the darkness and the light dance together in balance.

You do not need to rush towards what's next.

This is the time for reflection,

For integration,

For the quiet wisdom that grows in stillness.

Stay here now for a few more breaths,

Inhaling renewal,

Exhaling release,

Breathing with the rhythm of the season.

Balanced between what has ended,

What you have let go,

And what may begin.

Trust that your inner wisdom knows what's right for you,

And trust that any guidance you seek will be found at this time.

Let's start to let the practice go now,

Begin to deepen your breath.

Together,

Let's inhale,

And exhale.

Bring some small motion into your fingers,

Into your toes.

Maybe roll your shoulders,

Maybe twist your ankles.

Take a moment just to notice how you feel.

Has anything softened?

Has anything become clearer?

Trust that whatever needs to shift is already unfolding.

In its own time.

As you blink open your eyes,

Allow this sense of balance and peace to stay with you.

Just remember,

Remember,

Even as the seasons change within you and around you,

You are always held by the steady rhythm of your own breath.

And notice now,

Next time you walk in nature,

Just look at the trees.

They may begin to look bare,

But look closely.

The buds for next year are already in place.

The cycle continues.

Thank you for sharing this time of reflection.

May you move gently through this season,

And at ease in the quiet between endings and beginnings.
