Welcome to this practice to still and ease your body.

This is a practice taken from the ancient techniques developed from the Tantras and the Vedas.

As your body becomes more and more still and you submit to the higher power of your mind,

The mental impressions and thoughts,

The mental busyness,

The monkey mind,

Begins to settle.

Traditionally the practice is done seated with your spine tall,

But if you feel better lying down or in another position,

Finding the best posture that works for you so that you can still your body,

Your body stillness will then reflect a relaxed and peaceful mind.

As your body becomes more and more still,

The prana,

The energy that flows through your body is more easily able to move.

If you're an astral traveler,

You can dislodge your pranic energy body away from the stillness,

The rigidity of the physical body.

Slowly close or lower your eyes,

Bringing your spine tall,

Your head and neck straight.

Begin to empty your mind,

Using your breath,

Breathing in slowly,

Exhaling,

Letting go of whatever might be on your mind,

Any thoughts or worries.

Maybe you're organizing or planning,

Analyzing,

Acknowledge these thoughts,

These worries,

These hopes,

And then using your exhalation to release,

Release them from your mind.

Offer them to the ether,

Offer them to the earth,

Offer them to the heavens above.

After your next exhalation,

Let your breath return back to its natural flow.

As you become more aware of your body,

Become more aware of putting yourself into a comfortable position so that you don't have to move or adjust.

Giving yourself the permission right now to move or fix or adjust yourself so that you can enter a state of complete and utter ease.

Invite in one more deep breath as you settle into this moment,

The present moment,

Your body is in the present moment,

Your breath is in the present moment.

If you get lost in time in the past or in the future,

Gently remind yourself to anchor into the physicality of your body or into the ever-flowing motion of your breath.

Bring your awareness now to your body,

Noticing the right half of your body and the left half of your body.

Feel the center of your body.

From that center,

Be aware of the front of your body,

Relaxing into the back of your body,

And your body supported by whatever surface that you're lying upon.

You are supported,

You are grounded,

Your physical body is anchored into this space,

Your consciousness beginning to flow around your body,

As it does,

A sense of peace begins to envelop that area of your body,

And with it,

A sense of stillness,

Awareness of your right foot,

The toes of your right foot,

The sole of your foot,

The top of your foot,

To the heel,

Bathing that right foot with your awareness,

It's relaxing,

Your right foot is settling,

As it becomes more and more relaxed,

It becomes more and more still.

Your awareness over your left foot,

The toes,

The sole of your foot,

The top of your foot,

To the heel,

Your left foot is in a state of ease,

A state of complete relaxation,

Oozing from the toes,

A sense of stillness begins to envelop,

As the tiny movements work their way out of your energy system,

On your left foot,

Finding that sense of ease,

Float your awareness now to your right leg,

From your toes to your ankle,

From your ankle to your right,

The shin and the calf,

Releasing,

From your knee to your hip,

The muscles around your thigh getting heavier on the bone,

As a sense of ease moves around your entire right leg,

From your toes to your hip,

You begin to find and sense stillness,

Like a glass mirror,

Reflecting the stillness of your mind,

Upon your right leg,

Float your awareness to your left leg,

From your toes to your ankle,

Your ankle to your left knee,

Your knee to your left hip,

The muscles between the joints of your left leg,

Releasing upon the bones,

A sense of heaviness,

Of gravity weighing heavier and heavier,

As your muscles melt into a pool,

Of still water,

Your whole left leg,

Is abundantly still,

Aware of your pelvic floor,

Your buttocks,

Your hips,

The front and sides,

The back of your hips,

As they sink into the buttocks,

And the buttocks sinking and spreading,

That sense of ease,

Of inner balance,

As the hips and the muscles above and below your hips,

Begin to saddle,

A softness of stillness,

Awareness of your right hand,

The fingers,

And fingertips,

The palm and back of your hand to your wrist,

From your wrist to your fingertips,

Feel melting,

Releasing and softening,

You can feel the energy flowing from your fingertips,

Leaving in its place,

A sense of utter relaxation and stillness,

Your left hand,

From your fingertips,

Passing the fingers,

The palm and the back of your left hand,

Your whole left hand is able to release,

Any movement releasing from your fingertips,

Leaving in its place,

A solemn sense of stillness and ease,

It's becoming more and more effortless,

For you to be,

And be still,

As you float your awareness,

To your right arm,

From your fingers to your wrist,

Your wrist to your elbow,

Your elbow to your right shoulder,

Surrender any effort,

Any contractions,

To the earth below,

To more and more stillness from within,

Your left arm,

From fingers to wrist,

Wrist to elbow,

Elbow to shoulder,

Surrender to the stillness that's blanketing your body,

Your torso,

The front of your torso,

Your belly soft,

Your heart space open and light,

As it expands,

Gently,

Softly outward,

Easy to breathe,

Easy to be,

Your organs,

Contained within your chest and your belly,

Beginning to sense an inner softening,

As you trust inward,

You develop a deeper,

A sense of appreciation and stillness,

The muscles around your back,

Whatever muscles your body doesn't need to use,

For your posture,

Those muscles are able to just surrender,

Invite the muscles around your back,

The back of your neck,

To just let go,

You begin to surrender to a power inside of you greater than your physical self,

The strength of your willpower,

Surrenders and merges into your higher power,

Your neck and your throat,

Softening,

The muscles around your jaw,

Releasing the soft part of your upper palate,

Getting softer,

A warmth around your cheeks,

Spreading into your ears,

The scalp and the muscles around your scalp,

Softening as it cradles your skull,

The muscles around your eyes,

Releasing,

You can start to feel your eyes,

Sinking towards the back of your skull,

Gently rolling up towards the center of your mind,

A vast empty space in your mind,

Behind your eyebrows,

Your eyebrows begin to spread,

And the space between your eyebrows expanding,

As your inner vision becomes more and more clear,

Your outer vision becomes more and more dim,

At the crown of your head,

You can feel from the center,

An opening,

A light shining through from inside of you,

That light moves upward,

Radiates out from the crown of your head,

Dispersing out into the ether,

Your whole body is in a state of complete ease,

The muscles around your face are still,

The muscles of your body are relaxed and still,

There's a sense of complete ease,

As you notice the stillness from within,

You'll begin to notice your breath is the only thing moving in and out of your body,

Allowing this stillness to pervade from within and out,

Like that of a still lake,

Allowing yourself to return back to your physical body,

When you feel ready.
