Welcome to the Release Meditation for Sobriety.
My name is Alex and I'm here to guide you today through releasing your old thoughts,
Beliefs and concepts.
So please find a comfortable position,
Sitting or lying down.
Close your eyes gently and take a deep,
Calming breath.
Let your body become relaxed and comfortable.
Feel the support beneath you.
With each exhale,
Let go of any tension or worries you might be holding on to.
Bring your attention gently to your breath.
Notice the natural rhythm as it moves in and out.
Allow each breath to soften and relax you further.
Today,
We're focusing on the idea of release,
Letting go of what no longer serves you.
Take a moment to ask yourself gently,
Am I ready to let go of the fight?
Am I ready to release the struggle?
Just notice what feelings or thoughts come up without judging them.
It's okay wherever you are right now.
Imagine holding your struggles,
Your past pain or your worries tightly in your hands.
Feel how heavy and exhausting they are.
Now,
Slowly imagine opening your hands.
Visualize gently releasing these burdens,
Allowing them to drift away from you.
Feel lighter as you let go.
As you continue breathing softly,
Remember a time where you successfully let go of something.
Something difficult in the past.
Maybe it was stress,
Anger,
Or frustration.
Recall how good and freeing it felt to release it.
Now,
Consider healthy ways you can release feelings or tension going forward.
Perhaps it's through exercise,
Creativity,
Writing,
Talking with supportive friends,
Or exploring new hobbies.
Imagine yourself engaging in one of these healthy activities right now.
Noticing how calming and positive it feels.
Repeat after me.
I choose to release what no longer serves me.
I choose to release what no longer serves me.
I choose to release what no longer serves me.
Repeat after me.
I am ready to embrace peace and new possibilities.
I am ready to embrace peace and new possibilities.
I am ready to embrace peace and new possibilities.
Feel the calm strength these words bring you.
Slowly start bringing your awareness back to your body,
Your breath,
And the present moment.
Gently begin moving your fingers and toes.
Stretch lightly if you feel like it.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes softly.
Take a moment to thank yourself for bravely choosing to release and let go.
Carry this newfound freedom and peace without you throughout your day.
Namaste.
