The Awareness Reset Method is a guided practice designed to help you step out of the noise of the body, emotions, and thoughts so you can reconnect with your true identity. This meditation brings you into a state of deep presence by thanking the body for its work, releasing emotional tension, and quieting the thinking mind. Through focused awareness, you shift into the role of the observer. You experience yourself as the awareness that notices sensations, feelings, and thoughts without becoming them. This creates a clear separation between the reactive mind and the real you. The method guides you into this state of inner clarity, then stabilizes it through a grounding sequence that strengthens your connection to the present moment. The result is a calm, centered mindset where you can reset your identity, choose new thoughts, and move into a higher level of self-awareness. Use this method whenever you want to reset your nervous system, quiet the mind, or return to who you really are.

Welcome to this NeuroSober meditation.

Today we are going to disassociate ourselves from our body,

Our feelings and emotions,

And finally our thoughts.

We're going to get in touch with the real you.

Your essence.

Your soul.

The awareness that is you.

Once we get there,

We're going to rest easy in it and discover something new.

Then we will ground ourselves in that new found identity and shift into that new mindset you've been wanting to shift into.

So let's begin.

Close your eyes and find a comfortable seated position or laying down.

If you're laying down,

Keep your arms out to the side with your palms facing up.

If you're sitting down,

Keep your back erect,

Straight up as if somebody's pulling a string attached to your head so you're sitting up straight,

And keep your arms and palms on the top of your knees and thighs.

Keep them face up.

Awareness.

What is it?

Where does it come from?

How do we feel it?

Awareness is attention and focus on the deepest foundational level.

When we bring our awareness to something,

We feel it,

We notice it,

And we focus on it.

So when I say to bring your awareness to it,

It means to bring your attention to or to focus on.

So bring your awareness to your body.

Feel it all the way up and down from the tips of your toes to the top of your head.

Focus on the whole body.

Maybe you feel some tingling in your fingers,

In your palms.

Maybe you feel it in the sole of your foot or feet,

The tips of your toes,

The top of your head.

Zoom out and feel the whole body so you're almost tingling or feeling warm all over your body.

Bring your focus to it.

While you're bringing your awareness to your whole body,

I want you to thank it.

Thank it for keeping you safe.

Thank it for being beautiful.

Thank it for being the masterpiece that it is.

Tell it you love it.

Tell it that it can relax now.

That you're okay right now.

Thank it for being amazing.

But tell it that it's okay for it to relax right now.

You got this.

And feel it relax.

With each breath,

Inhale through your nose and out through your mouth.

And with every breath,

Feel your body relax more and more.

Every exhale,

Let it out.

You can even put some tone to it.

Feel the body really relax.

Next,

I want you to bring awareness to your heart.

The heart that feels.

Where emotions and feelings are born.

Bring your awareness to it.

Wherever that is for you,

Whether it's in the middle of your chest or your mind,

Bring your awareness to your heart.

And I want you to thank it.

Be grateful for it.

Thank it for keeping you safe.

But tell it that it can relax now.

That you're okay right now.

Thank you.

Thank you for keeping me safe.

But I'm okay.

Thank you for keeping me safe.

But we can relax right now.

And feel it relax.

And finally,

Bring your awareness to your mind.

Everything that it includes.

Your thoughts,

Your beliefs,

Your feelings,

Your emotions.

Thoughts about the future,

The present,

The past.

Everything that it includes.

Bring your awareness to the mind.

Thank it.

Be grateful for it.

Thank it for keeping you safe.

But you can relax right now.

I'm okay.

Thank you for keeping me safe.

But I'm okay right now.

We can relax.

And feel it relax.

We experience the body.

We experience feelings and emotions.

And we experience thoughts.

But we are not those things.

They all come and go.

But what you are is the awareness experiencing those things.

You are the awareness experiencing those things.

You are not your body.

You are not your mind.

You are not your feelings.

Those come and go.

You are not your emotions.

For those come and go.

And you are not your thoughts.

For those come and go.

So what are you?

You are the awareness experiencing those things.

And what doesn't change is your awareness of these experiences.

We experience life through our five senses.

What you see.

What you feel through touch.

What we hear.

What we smell.

And what we taste.

So if we are the awareness of our five senses.

Then we want to be grounded in those five senses.

To be fully present,

You must be grounded in your awareness,

Which is your five senses.

This is who you are.

When you clear out all the thoughts,

All the noise,

All the feelings,

All the emotions.

This is who you are.

Rest easy in it.

Now that we're here,

Let's anchor it in.

So you can take this with you moving forward.

What are five things that you can see right now in your head?

List them off.

One,

Two,

Three,

Five.

What are four things that you can feel with touch?

Whether it's your shirt,

Your pants.

Or something that you can visualize in your mind that you can touch.

Maybe it's grass,

Maybe it's a bench.

But list those off.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

What are three things that you can hear?

Either right now or in your visualization.

Three things that you can hear.

List them off.

One,

Two,

Three.

What are two things that you can smell?

Two things that you can smell either right now or in your visualization.

List them off.

One,

Two.

And finally,

One thing that you can taste.

What is one thing that you can taste either right now or in your visualization?

List it off.

One.

You are now grounded into this new identity.

After meeting yourself on a deep foundational level,

You are you.

So take this with you.

As you move forward in your day or head off to sleep,

Take this with you.

And whenever you're too far in the future or in the past,

Do this 5,

4,

3,

2,

1 exercise.

And it'll bring you back to the present moment.

Every time.

Because we only experience the present moment through our five senses.

Go out there and live your life.

But don't forget who you are.

Namaste.
