Sometimes we might feel called to the darkest corners of our mind. And the first reaction might be to fight it or judge ourselves for it. This moment is for the thoughts suspended in between two breaths, allowing you to catch a break with a short box breathing exercise.

Hi Resilient Sunshine!

Thank you so much for taking the time to lock in this moment.

As days fluctuate with ups and downs,

We're often left overwhelmed by intrusive thoughts,

Worries or anxiety.

There might be conflicting moments where the excitement for happy moments starts becoming dull.

Sometimes it might seem that only pain makes you feel alive.

Don't worry,

Dear one.

Sometimes it might take darkness to appreciate the light.

So in this moment,

Find yourself in the most comfortable position possible for you right now.

And take a deep breath in.

And let's exhale the darkest thoughts,

The knot in your throat and whatever might try to overwhelm you right now at the start.

Because this space is a space for you to be.

Unapologetically,

It's a space for no judgment about what might cross your mind.

It's just a space to notice,

To accept.

We're now going to proceed with a short square breathing exercise.

So we're going to take a moment to breathe in for 1,

2,

3,

4 and hold for 1,

2,

3,

4.

And exhale for 1,

2,

3,

4 and hold there just for 3,

2 and 1.

You're going to do that a couple more times.

Breathing in for 3,

2,

1 and hold it there for 1.

2,

3 and 4 and exhale for 1,

2,

3,

4 and hold it there for 2,

3,

4.

Another time,

Taking a deep breath in for 1,

2,

3,

4 and hold for 3,

2,

1 and exhale for 1,

2,

3,

4,

Hold there for 3,

2,

1.

And now you can get back to your normal breathing.

Just let it go for a second or two or three,

Just in this moment,

The time to hear this,

The time to inhale,

The time to exhale,

Just even for half a second,

Take this moment to let it go.

Appreciate the space suspended in between mind,

Body and time.

Appreciate the space where for a second there,

You can let it go.
