When the day feels heavy and your mind won’t quiet, this gentle sleep meditation offers a soft place to land. Created for evenings when you’re carrying too much—thoughts, worries, unanswered questions—this practice invites you to slow down, release control, and surrender into rest. With minimal guidance, long pauses, and calming breath cues, you’ll be supported in letting the body soften and the nervous system settle. Let this meditation play as you drift toward sleep, allowing the words to fade and the quiet to take over. Return to it whenever you need a reminder that you are supported, held, and safe enough to let go. Best enjoyed lying down, in bed, with the intention to sleep. Sleep well.

Transcript

Find a place where your body can fully rest.

Let yourself sink into the surface beneath you.

Close your eyes.

Take a slow breath in and let it go.

Another breath,

Longer this time.

And one more,

As if the body already knows how to soften.

Nothing to do,

Nowhere to go.

Give yourself permission to deeply rest.

Night has arrived,

And with it,

Permission.

Permission to relax your thoughts.

Permission to release your doing.

Permission to deeply rest.

Let the day loosen its hold.

The conversations,

The unfinished thoughts,

The plans for tomorrow,

Set them gently down beside you.

They will wait.

Notice your breathing.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Let the exhale be a little longer,

As if the body is sighing itself downward.

With each breath out,

Feel yourself sinking deeper into the bed,

Deeper into rest.

Nothing is required of you now.

There is nothing you need to figure out tonight.

Decisions can wait.

Fixing can wait.

Answers can wait.

Whatever you're holding,

You are allowed to release it,

Just for now.

You do not have to carry the world into sleep.

Take five deep breaths in and out.

Imagine floating,

Effortless,

Supported,

Carried.

Floating in a cocoon of divine healing,

Nurturing light.

Allow yourself to be held.

Allow yourself to rest and be supported.

Light filling every cell,

Tissue,

Bone,

And muscle in your body.

Noticing any areas of tension and allowing the light to linger there,

To shine brightly.

You are floating,

Nestled in a cocoon of healing,

Warm light.

Bring your awareness to the body,

The shoulders softening,

The jaw loosening.

The space around your heart unclenching.

Each place that releases allows sleep to come closer.

Give yourself permission for deep rest.

Rest in this spaciousness.

Being held,

Loved,

Nourished,

And supported by this divine healing,

Nurturing light.

You are deeply supported.

Release a little more with each breath.

Body is heavy,

Closer to the earth.

Feel how it loves you and you love it.

Release any tension.

Notice where your body is holding tension,

Stress,

Or feelings that you are not supported,

That you have been forgotten,

That life does not love you.

Use your breath to release.

Use your breath to surrender.

You are asked to surrender into deep rest.

Allow yourself to be supported.

Allow yourself to be supported.

Rest now in the soft glow of surrender.

Trust in this unfolding.

When you rise tomorrow,

Carry with you not the weight of yesterday,

But the quiet knowing that life is for you and supports you always.

Take one last gentle breath in and let it go completely.

Rest gently,

My friend.

Surrender and allow sleep to take you now.

Thank you.
