Greetings and welcome to today's meditation,

Unburdening the Blamebearer.

Let your breath ease into this space.

Today we meet the part that blames.

Because blame helped us to make sense of chaos.

I want to invite you to picture a storm.

And in the center of the storm is calm.

You are that calm.

Blame is the lightning,

But you are not the storm.

You are the center.

You are calmness.

Ask yourself,

Who do I blame?

Do I blame myself?

Do I blame others?

Just allow the answer to come to you any way that it needs to.

There's no right or wrong,

And there's no pressure to force an answer.

Just invite it to come.

Let it know that it's welcome here.

As blame begins to emerge from the shadows,

Ask it,

What are you protecting me from?

Who are you protecting me from?

And then allow it to answer you in any way that feels right to it.

If it's coming in a little bit intense,

Just ask it to turn it down a little bit.

And if it's still too intense,

Ask it to turn it off.

That you want to be able to hear it and to connect with it,

But without the sense of overwhelm and discomfort.

Because you want to give your full attention to it.

And just see how this part responds.

Speak to it.

I don't need to assign blame to feel powerful,

Because accountability creates healing.

Because compassion is my pain.

Notice how blame responds to hearing those words.

I don't need to assign blame to feel powerful,

Because accountability creates healing.

Because compassion is my path.

Just notice how blame responds to that message.

Take a deep breath in.

Allowing that truth to come inside of you,

To fill your lungs,

To fill your belly,

To expand your chest.

To release even some weight from off of your shoulders.

And as you exhale,

Declare,

I release the weight of blame.

I release it,

Because I choose responsibility,

Not shame.

Because I forgive.

And just notice how that feels in your system.

What areas may feel lighter?

What areas may be releasing gratitude and appreciation for you lessening your burdens?

And say it again.

I release the weight of blame,

Because I choose responsibility,

Not shame.

Because I forgive.

And just notice what areas in your body are feeling attended to,

Are feeling soothed or calmed because of this message.

Let them know that you're grateful that they're taking in the message.

That you thank them for being willing to receive,

Even if it's just to try it on for a while.

That you appreciate them.

Let them know we don't need to assign any blame to feel powerful.

Accountability creates healing for us.

Our path is compassion.

And when it feels right,

I'm going to invite you to slowly return to this space and this time.

Wiggling your fingers and wiggling your toes,

And just noticing what is present for you right now.

Allowing yourself to continue the process until it feels well to fully return.

Thank you so much for being with me today.

And I'm going to say bye-bye for now.
