Greetings and welcome to today's meditation,

The Safe Sanctuary,

Creating Emotional Refuge.

Take a moment to close your eyes and take a deep breath in,

An anchoring breath.

Feel your body begin to soften into the space around you.

Imagine descending gently into the ocean's depth,

Moving slowly,

Methodically toward a hidden sanctuary.

Here,

Within the rock and the corals,

Lies a quiet cave,

An underwater refuge,

Known only to you and the octopus.

This is a place of absolute safety,

Where no harm can enter.

Can you visualize it?

Can you feel into it?

Can you see yourself entering this thought-glowing cave,

Where the light shimmers like moonlight on water?

As you begin to settle inside,

You notice the octopus nearby resting peacefully in its home.

The octopus knows how to create safe bases using rocks and shells and sea treasures to build a protective able.

Now,

Invite forward a part of you that longs for safety.

It longs for comfort.

And it desires deep,

Deep rest.

Welcome this part gently into your sanctuary.

Invite it to feel the calming energy of the octopus,

As it extends one of its arms towards you and towards your part,

Draping it across your shoulders or your back,

Offering a soothing embrace.

Allow yourself to fully receive this protection.

And when it feels right,

Inhale deeply,

Breathing in the essence of safety.

Exhale slowly.

There's no rush.

Releasing tension from your body,

No matter where it is in your neck or your shoulders.

Your back or your head.

Allowing it to be released.

Notice the textures of your inner sanctuary.

The smooth walls,

The soft ground,

The cool,

Calming water surrounding you.

Let yourself fully relax here,

Knowing,

Having that deep knowing that you are nurtured and protected.

You may feel a warmth in your chest or your belly as this part of you begins to soften.

I invite you to rest in this space for as long as you need to.

Soaking in the sensation of being held.

Allow yourself to linger here just a little bit longer.

Soaking it in.

You are being held lovingly,

Sacredly.

And when you feel ready,

Offer gratitude to the octopus and your inner part.

Let them know that it was wonderful to connect with them,

To be with them.

In this sacred embrace.

And when it feels right,

Slowly begin to return to the surface.

Carrying this refuge with you.

Gently wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.

Allowing your eyes to gently open.

Embracing and embodying that feeling of calm and safety.

Allowing the sensation of being held to be with you today.

Thank you for being with us.

Thank you for allowing the octopus to hold you.

Thank you and bye-bye for now.
