Hello,

My name is Melissa.

This meditation is focused on the breath called Breath of Fire.

Breath of Fire is a fast,

Rhythmic paced breath that comes from the yogic tradition.

There are many benefits to this breath that I will share.

One of them is releasing blocks.

Is there parts of the day or in your life where you feel that you are not reaching your full potential?

Maybe there is a mental block that is getting in the way of you making the money or creating that abundance that you wish in your life.

Perhaps there is emotional blockages that sit in the heart,

That feel tense,

Or in the belly that feel knotted.

This Breath of Fire helps clear those blocks,

Clear those obstacles,

Whether they are physical,

Mental,

Emotional,

Even spiritual,

That feel relentlessly in your way from being who you are,

From seeing your true self.

This breath is also known to increase the lung capacity,

To help with our digestive system,

And bring clarity to mind,

Body,

And spirit.

Let us begin.

Start in a comfortable seated position where the spine is tall,

Where the shoulders feel relaxed,

Where the chin is slightly tucked down and back.

Once you are in this position,

The hands can either be resting on the lap or in a hand position such as Gaya Mudra,

Which is the pointer finger and thumb together,

Representing wisdom or expansion.

Once you have this position,

You can close the eyes,

Softening the jaw,

Softening the body,

And keeping a relaxed face as we continue with the breath.

We are going to breathe in and out through the nose,

And it is going to increase in its pace.

So this breath almost sounds like a dog panting with the mouth closed.

On the exhale,

You are bringing the navel point,

That point right below the belly button in.

The diaphragm comes in.

And on the inhale,

It is almost automatic.

You are expanding the belly back out.

Exhale,

Forcefully placing the belly button in towards the spine.

Inhale,

Expanding the belly.

Exhale,

Diaphragm in.

Inhale,

Diaphragm out.

Exhale,

Diaphragm in.

Inhale,

Out.

It will sound like this.

Now we are going to increase the pace of this breath,

Adding in that fire-like element,

That fire of transformation.

Continuing with the rhythm that sounds and feels good for you.

This can be a little bit slower or a little bit faster.

And we will continue this for 30 seconds.

Let's begin.

Keep going here.

If you would like to increase the pace,

You can do that at any time.

Face and shoulders stay relaxed.

Now take a deep breath in.

Hold the breath at the top for a total of 5,

4,

3,

2,

1.

Exhale all the air out.

Hold the breath out.

3,

2,

1.

Now return to a long deep breath.

You can continue this sequence as many times as your heart desires.

Perhaps until you feel that clarity or that answer that you're looking within for.

May you fully receive the benefits of this breath.

I encourage you to stay in the stillness after the breath.

Sometimes that stillness is where things come to you.

It's where you get that clarity.

You receive those answers.

May this breath,

The new lightness,

Peace,

And removing those obstacles to create a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Namaste.
