Welcome back to our From the Roots Up journey.

Yesterday we grounded ourselves in the ancient wisdom and resilience of our ancestors through a rooted meditation.

Let me know how that meditation went for you.

We reconnected with that unshakable,

Steady presence that has been passed down through generations before us.

Today we turn our focus to honouring and nourishing the sacred vessel that is the physical body.

For our people,

The body has long been revered as a temple.

When I say our people,

I mean humanity.

A divine gift to be cherished,

Fuelled and maintained with utmost care and respect.

Too often in this modern world we neglect the body's needs,

Failing to provide it with the nourishing movement,

Restful sleep,

Whole foods and self-love practices it requires to thrive optimally.

We allow ourselves to get disconnected from this earthly form.

But our ancestors showed us the way to live in alignment.

Eating from a bounty of nature,

Giving the body its daily bread of activity,

Creating rituals to renew the spirit as well as the flesh.

We'll honour these embodied teachings today.

We'll start by bringing mindful awareness to the constant miracle of breath and all it provides us.

From there we'll go on a mission to nourish the body,

Nourish the mind,

Nourish the soul,

Nourish the body,

Nourish the mind,

Nourish the soul,

Nourish the body,

Nourish the mind,

Nourish the body,

Nourish the mind,

Nourish the soul,

Nourish the body,

Nourish the mind,

Nourish the body.

From there we'll go on a meditative journey through the body,

Sending appreciation and care to every organ,

Cell,

Limb that makes this living possible.

Okay,

So let's get ready for our body meditation.

Begin by finding a comfortable seated position,

Or you can lay down on your back if preferred.

Start bringing your awareness to your natural breath.

Observe the inhalations and exhalations as they flow,

Without trying to change them.

As you breathe easily,

Call to mind the miraculous way this breath sustains you in each moment.

The simple act of air moving in and out is providing life-giving oxygen to every cell of your body.

Appreciate this first vital nourishment.

Now expand your gratitude to all the physical systems collaborating in this breath.

The bellows of the lungs.

The lungs of the lungs.

The bellows of the lungs.

The rhythmic pump of the heart.

The incredible intelligence of the nervous system and brain coordinating it all seamlessly.

Take a few cycles of breath to bask in reverence for this incredible form you've been given.

Revitalizing that core and the gut system that transforms fuel into energy.

Send your appreciation here.

On your exhale,

Envision sending that breath's awakening force upwards through your body.

First into the pelvis,

Offering respect for the powerful,

Creative and reproductive anatomy anchored here.

Inhale renewed vitality up into the chest.

Filling the mighty lungs and honoring the heart that never stops working on your behalf.

As you exhale,

Send that wave of awareness over your shoulders.

Down your arms and into the nimble hands and fingers that allow you to create,

Construct,

Feel textures and communicate.

Inhale fresh energy up into the neck.

Throat,

Sinuses and jaw.

Release any tensions here on the exhale as you appreciate the gift of being able to speak.

Swallow,

Take in nourishment fully.

Finally,

Take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.

Send your breath's attentiveness up into the radiant vessel of the head.

Gratitude for the energetic crown.

The visionary eyes allowing you to witness this world's majesty.

The sensitive ears receiving music and messages.

And the mind's miraculous genius precipitating each breath,

Thought and movement.

As you finish this meditation,

You may choose to slowly rock your body,

Continuing to sense into each area that houses this temple's sacredness.

Offer any final acknowledgements of appreciation.

When complete,

Affirm your renewed reverence for this cherished form before gently opening your eyes.

Carry this care and self-nourishing awareness out into your day.

As we emerge from that practice,

Notice any areas that felt renewed vitality coursing through.

Where did you sense blocked or stagnant energy releasing?

The body has a profound wisdom.

If we can learn to tune into it,

We can be so powerful.

The body has a profound wisdom.

If we can learn to tune into it,

We can be so powerful.

Tomorrow we'll explore how to be equally intentional stewards of the mind's garden.

As we complete this meditation on nourishing the temple of the body,

I invite you to reflect deeply on this question.

Are you truly committed to showing up fully?

Are you truly committed to showing up fully?

Are you truly committed to showing up fully for the remaining three days of this course?

This five-day odyssey requires an unwavering dedication of your own growth,

Healing,

And self-actualization.

It demands carving out sacred time to go inward and do the work of grounding,

Nourishing,

And aligning yourself on every level.

If you find your attention wavering or making excuses about being too busy,

To prioritize the time for yourself,

That's a direct reflection of how you may be neglecting the care of your greatest asset,

Your whole being.

Our ancestors understood the true resilience arises from tending to spirit,

Mind,

And body as one harmonious ecosystem.

And when we let one of ourselves get malnourished,

The entire temple eventually becomes fragile and fragile.

So ask yourself honestly,

Are you prepared to nourish all aspects of who you are over the next three days?

To gift yourself the spaces for embodied breathwork,

Mental reframing,

And spiritual realignment?

If you feel any hesitation,

Go inward and locate the roots of this resistance.

It is residual programming to deprioritize your needs.

Fear that deeper wounds will be the cause of your pain.

Deprioritize your needs.

Fear that deeper work may be unrevealed.

A lack of self-worth.

Confront those shadows directly with an unshakable call.

Clarity that you're cultivating.

You deserve to take up space and cherish your totality.

That is the surest path to radiating your brilliance.

Understand if you need to pause this journey and return,

When you're truly ready to immerse fully.

See you tomorrow.
