Hello sweet friend,

I'm grateful you're here.

Welcome to this gentle yoga nidra practice for embracing transitions.

Just as spring teaches us that change is a constant and a beautiful part of life,

This session invites you to flow with life's natural rhythms,

Embracing each moment with peace,

Trust,

And grace.

Growing up,

My grandmother would often tell us that the winds of change are always blowing,

But you are the one who decides how to navigate the waters of life.

In this practice,

You will be guided to release resistance and welcome the flow of change,

Knowing that even in the moments of uncertainty,

You are being supported and carried forward towards something new.

Let's begin to prepare for this journey of deep rest.

Gather a few props,

Find a comfortable and safe place to lie down.

Perhaps put a bolster under your knees,

Cover your body with a light blanket,

Place a covering over your eyes,

Or gently gaze downward.

If you're not comfortable,

It's difficult for your body to completely and fully relax,

So I encourage you to take a moment and adjust if you need to at this time or even during our practice.

Now bring your awareness to your breath,

Your precious breath,

Your lifeline.

Notice the gentle rise of your chest as you inhale,

And then the gentle release when you exhale.

Feel the flow of the breath as the air flows in your nose,

Along the sinus cavity,

Into the lungs.

Then feel the release what the body no longer needs,

Letting the breath flow up the trachea,

And out the mouth or out the nose.

Normal breath in.

Let's start with a reverse count of the breath,

Starting with five.

Breathe in five.

Breathe out five.

Inhale four.

Exhale four.

Inhale three.

Exhale three.

Inhale two.

Exhale two.

Breathe in one.

Breathe out one.

Normal breath in.

As we begin to settle in,

Let's set an intention to guide us on this journey of deep rest.

If you have an intention that you've been working on,

You're welcome to use it,

Or I invite you to use the following.

Silently repeat it to yourself three times.

I embrace change with grace and an open heart.

I embrace change with grace and an open heart.

I embrace change with grace and an open heart.

Allow this intention to settle into your heart,

Knowing that you have the strength to navigate any change with ease.

Bring your awareness to your physical body.

Feel your body resting on the surface beneath you.

Feel where the body contacts the surface.

Feel the surface holding you,

Supporting you.

We'll start with our body scan at the heart center and move through each side of the body.

We'll start our body scan at the heart center and move through each side of the body.

As we move through each area,

Focus on observing the sensations and letting go of tension.

Begin by bringing your awareness to your heart center,

Right in the middle of your chest.

Feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath as it moves in and out of this area.

Allow your heart center to feel open,

To feel relaxed.

Now shift your focus to the right side of your body.

Start with your right shoulder.

Releasing any tightness.

Allow them to relax completely.

Finally,

Shift your focus to the crown of your head.

Feel any sensations at the top of your head and allow it to relax.

Imagine a sense of calm and relaxation flowing down from the crown of your head through your entire body.

Now in your mind's eye,

Imagine standing at the edge of a serene crystal clear stream.

The water glistens under the soft light of the morning sun.

It's gentle current carrying leaves and petals downstream.

As you stand there,

Feel the coolness of the air and the stillness of the space around you.

Take a deep breath,

Letting the peacefulness of this place wash over you.

Slowly step into the stream,

Feeling the water flow gently around your feet as it hugs your body,

Guiding you forward with each step.

You notice the current is not rushing nor pulling forcefully.

It is simply flowing,

Gentle,

Steady and unwavering.

The water carries you effortlessly,

Encouraging you to let go of any resistance.

As you continue to walk,

Feel yourself surrendering to the rhythm of the stream.

With each exhale,

Release any tension,

Any worry or fear,

Anything that may be holding you back from embracing change.

Let the stream carry these heavy thoughts away.

As this water flows around your feet,

You feel lighter,

Freer.

You trust that the stream is guiding you towards something exactly where you need to be.

The sun begins to rise higher,

And the gentle sounds of the water surround you.

You hear the soft rustling of the leaves on the trees,

The occasional bird in the distance.

You are a part of this peaceful landscape,

Moving forward with ease.

With each breath,

The stream carries you,

Guides you to a place closer of peaceful acceptance.

You know that change is not something to fear,

But something to welcome,

Knowing it brings growth,

Renewal and new opportunities.

You notice the stream has brought you to a quiet,

Open meadow.

You step out of the water and pause to feel the earth beneath your feet.

You are grounded.

You are safe.

You are ready to flow with life's changes,

Resting deeply in pure awareness.

Gently bring back the intention set earlier,

Guiding us on this journey of deep rest.

Envision these words flowing through your body as the breath flows in and the breath flows out.

I embrace change with grace and an open heart.

I embrace change with grace and an open heart.

Let these words help guide your waking days as this practice comes to an end.

Take a moment to reflect on the flow of change within your life.

What transitions are you currently experiencing?

Trust that like the stream,

These changes are guiding you.

Trust your journey.

Carry the peace and trust you have cultivated in this practice with you.

Know that you can move through any transition with ease.

You are supported.

You are resilient.

When you are ready,

Gently begin to bring your awareness back to the present moment.

Carry with you the grace and peace that comes with embracing the natural flow of life.

Until next time,

Sweet friend,

Just breathe.
