
Non Sleep Deep Rest (Yoga Nidra) With Crystal Sound Bowls
Be exquisitely guided into deep relaxation through a non sleep deep rest practice with crystal sound bowl therapy. Amy guides from the Integrative Amrit Method of Yoga Nidra with a collective intention of resting the body and healing the mind. Enjoy this meditation in a comfortable lying position with support under the knees, head and something to cover the eyes. Welcome to the practice of I am yoga nidra the amrit method of yoga nidra an ancient sleep-based meditation practice that transforms body and mind.
Today we will move through breath and body awareness techniques settling into the deep stillness within the mind.
So making yourself as comfortable as possible perhaps adjusting your body,
Rolling the head,
Wriggling the fingers and the toes.
And as you settle in begin to close your eyes and quiet the mind,
Becoming still,
Letting go of all thoughts,
Worry and tension.
Relax,
Trust and let go.
Breathing in fully and exhale with a sigh.
And again breathing in fully and exhale with a deep sigh,
Letting go even more.
Welcoming a deep sense of ease and contentment into the body.
Now allow your entire self to respond spontaneously and effortlessly to these words.
I return to the innate wisdom of my body to heal itself.
I remain in restful awareness.

Maintaining this inner awareness,
Gently bring your palms together and begin to rub the palms to the degree that you feel comfortable generating some heat between the palms.
Placing the hands over the eyes,
Allowing the fingertips to rest on the eyelids.
The entire surface of the palm touching your face.
Slowly massaging the face with the hands,
Using your fingertips as you pad around the eyes,
Up to the top of the forehead,
Down around the temples,
Circling at the temples.
Moving down slowly to the ears,
Massaging in front of the ears,
Down around the jawline towards the chin.
And slowly up around the mouth and up the nose,
The bridge of the nose to the forehead.
And then taking a deep breath in as you rest the fingertips on the eyelids once more.
And exhale,
Letting go of any tension through the face.
Taking another deep breath in and let go even more.
Releasing your arms by the side,
Covering the eyes with an eye pillow if you prefer.
And feeling the impact flooding through the whole body.
Now as we enter the next phase into subtler levels of relaxation through the bumblebee sound and breath.
In a moment we will breathe in and hum through the lips creating a bumblebee sound.
Changing the tone and pitch of the sound to maximize the vibratory impact through the mind and the body.
Taking a long breath in and humming out through the mouth.
As you stop,
Welcoming the impact of vibration throughout the whole body.
Notice how your awareness feeds the energy flow.
Observing how your energy expands and grows with your awareness.
Extending everywhere,
Filling every nerve and cell of your body.
Now drawing awareness to the eyebrow center and empty your mind into this flood of energy.
Let it merge and melt into the experience of energy flowing through your body.
Expanding beyond all boundaries.
Drop into complete silence and deep stillness.
As we enter the next phase of yoga nidra,
Remaining as still as possible.
If you need to move,
Just do so mindfully and return back to stillness.
Resolving to remain awake,
Staying in touch with the guidance.
Allowing the whole body to respond directly and non mentally.
Allowing any disturbances,
External or internal,
To draw you more deeply within.
In yoga nidra,
We enter the subconscious pranic field.
Allow your mind to merge and melt into the energy field of your body.
Going beyond the boundaries of the mind.
Now shift from thinking and doing to feeling and being.
Do absolutely nothing from now on.
Simply relax and drop into the deepest state of tranquility and peace.
Following my guidance now,
As we begin the relaxation breath.
Breathing in deeply,
Filling your lungs from the bottom to the top.
As if you're filling a water bottle.
As you breathe out,
Emptying your lungs from the top to the bottom.
Let your breath be easy and slow.
Observing the movement of the belly.
Staying connected to the feeling of releasing tension and relaxation.
Welcome this feeling to extend throughout every part of your body.
Allowing the breath to deepen your relaxation with each exhale.
Directing full awareness into your breath rhythm.
As you slowly deepen your inhale and exhale.
Use the breath to release any holding you find in your body.
Begin to allow your exhale to become longer than your inhale.
Flow of breath easy,
Smooth and unbroken stream.
Feeling the rise and fall of the belly with each breath.
With each exhale releasing any tension,
Any anticipation in the mind.
Letting go.
With each inhale filling every nerve and cell with pulsating energy.
As you relax.
Breathing out,
Letting go of any last holding anywhere in your body.
Breathing in visualising your body renewed with new life.
Empty your body and mind and enter deeper levels of stillness and silence.
Now breathe normally and be still.
Drop into that silent space where all doing stops.
Following my guidance as we move awareness through different parts of the body.
As I guide you from point to point.
Remain in non-doing awareness.
Resolve to stay awake as you bring your attention to the body.
To the space of the forehead.
Sensing the centre of the brow.

Welcome whatever comes into your field of awareness to be present without comment or judgment.
Simply witnessing whatever arises in the field of your awareness.
Resting in your witnessing awareness as you receive the following images and experiences.
Judge nothing.
Remaining unconditionally open and present to all that passes through your awareness.
Snow capped mountains.
Sunrise on a desert.
A star in the sky.
A golden spiderweb.
A soaring flock of birds.
Now be still.
Still in the space behind the forehead.
Observing what passes through.
Simply seeing unattached to all that passes.
If nothing appears,
Being aware of that.
Being totally present.
Completely absorbed.
Resting in this vastness.

Your whole being has made a major paradigm shift.
In this moment establish yourself in trust and faith.
Remaining free from any need to be in control.
Feeling unburdened and free to move through life with ease.
Feel the presence of your higher self.
Protect and bless you.
Feel energy and grace surround you at all times.
Do not hesitate or doubt it.
Let it come naturally.
Now begin to become aware of your breath.
Rising and falling.
Slowly feel yourself rising back into the service of awareness.
As you sense the body resting on the floor.
The quality of the air touching the skin.
Gradually you can move as if awakening from a restful sleep.
You might choose to bend your knees or roll onto the floor.
Take your time.
Once again welcoming these words.

Every time you find yourself in reaction.
You are now empowered to replace it with this intention.
Now gradually you can begin to sit up with your eyes closed.
Staying deep within this experience.
Regardless of what we consciously recognize has or hasn't changed.
Knowing something deep within has shifted.
To align you with your intention.
Becoming aware of the body and welcoming a deep sense of ease with you.
As you notice how relaxed the body feels.
How soft the breath is.
How quiet the heart beats.
How silent the mind is.
Be still.
Be grateful.
Know that you can return here again and again.
