Our mind and body are designed to work together.

Each sends signals to the other.

Each responds to the other.

The mind can then send messages to balance and harmonize the qi and the blood in the body.

We will start by consciously releasing the turbid qi,

The stagnant qi,

Resulting from the stresses and tensions of our day.

So,

Now it's time to get in a comfortable position.

This can be done standing,

With arms and legs loose,

The body loose,

Head held tall.

This can be done sitting with feet on the floor,

Arms resting,

And it can be done while lying on a firm surface or on a bed.

Arms to your side,

Palms down.

Imagine that you're floating in healing energy.

Pure white,

Or golden white,

Or any beautiful color that comes to your mind when you think now of healing,

Tranquility,

Peace.

And,

Think now of what color comes to mind in the body for that stress,

That tension,

That turbid qi,

The areas of pain or stagnation,

Or even the areas of weakness.

When you feel stressed,

Or get upset,

Or get irritated,

Where does that energy go?

Where do you feel it?

And what color comes to your mind in this moment as you connect mind to that part of the body?

We're going to begin linking breath to the expulsion and to the accumulation of qi,

Of life force,

Beginning first with strictly cleansing,

Clearing,

Expulsion of negative,

Toxic,

Or turbid qi,

Turbid energy.

Count as you inhale,

Typically to a count of 4 or 5,

And during your exhale,

Double that count as you imagine,

As you sense,

As you feel that turbid qi,

That negative energy flowing,

Shooting out of the four palms,

The palms of your hands and the palms of your feet.

Now,

In a stressful moment or on a stressful day,

It might shoot out at first,

Like a fire hose release,

But really you're not that large and it doesn't take long for that expulsion of negative,

Turbid qi to calm to a stream,

To calm to drips and drops as you continue to breathe that 4 to 8 or 5 to 10 breath,

In through the nose,

Out through the feet and the palms of the hands.

With every breath,

As if you're watching from the side,

The spirit you,

Watching that body,

Seeing the energy,

The color of the energy in that body,

Changing,

Calming.

And as you exhale the release of that stress color,

That turbid qi color,

There's the beginning of openings,

Of empty voids,

Needing to be filled.

Now,

You begin to do the combination of exhaling the release of turbid qi,

Of stress color energy,

And inhaling the beautiful life force healing.

Breathing in the healing,

Exhaling the expulsion of stress,

Tension,

Turbid qi through the hands and feet.

Breathing in that healing,

Feeling it gather in the lower abdomen,

Sinking and anchoring there as the stress continues to be expelled on the exhale.

Breathe into the lower lung,

And during the exhale,

Knowing the stress and tension naturally now,

Know to be released through the hands and the feet,

So your mind and body focus on sinking and anchoring that newly acquired life force into your dantian.

The dantian is approximately two inches below the navel,

Just a little in front of the spine.

So again,

We're expelling through the hands and feet,

Inhaling beautiful healing energy,

Tranquility,

Into the lower lung,

And during that exhale,

Sinking it down into the dantian,

Anchoring it there.

Continue this rhythm.

By now,

The expulsion of the turbid qi is likely down to just being a sense of the finest of streams becoming drips and drops,

And the focus now is more on the inhalation,

Acquired qi gathering in the lower lung,

Then sinking and anchoring to the dantian.

Continue for the next minute or two.

As you're ready,

When you're ready,

Let your breath become your normal resting pattern,

Enjoying the sense of rejuvenation,

Calming,

Grounding life force flowing gently through that body,

Bringing the mind,

The nervous system,

The circulation that nourishes every muscle,

And every tendon,

Every joint,

That skin,

And that hair,

And those eyes,

Nourished,

So feeling calm and strong.
