Welcome my loves.
Namaste.
My name is Lauren and what a blessing you are here in this moment of nourishment and self-care.
This meditation is created for the last full moon of the year,
A supermoon,
And a powerful moment to melt tension,
Shed emotional residue,
And return to the softness of simply being.
Before we begin,
Could you allow your body to find a shape of comfort,
Gathering any props and supports you may need?
Blankets,
Blocks,
Bolsters,
As many pillows as you desire,
Maybe even an eye covering.
And you might choose a supine restorative resting position,
Lying on your back with knees bent and feet wide.
A gentle constructive rest.
Or perhaps a supported reclined bound ankle will feel nourishing for you.
Soles of the feet together,
Knees supported by pillows or blocks.
Or of course your favorite version of Shavasana,
The body completely held by the supports beneath you.
If you like,
You could even place a folded blanket over the lower belly,
A soothing weight to help you feel grounded,
Held,
And safe.
And take a moment for yourself to settle in.
Could you allow your body to soften into the support beneath you?
Let your breath arrive.
And when you're ready,
We begin by inviting the eyelids to fall heavy and slowly close.
You may wish to place an eye covering over the closed eyelids to block any light out that filters through.
A signal to the body that it's time for deep rest.
A time to go inward into our internal landscape.
And as you lay here,
Could you feel yourself slowly handing your weight to the earth?
Feel your arms falling heavy wherever feels the most comfortable.
Hands relaxed,
Palms open to receive,
Or palms down for more grounding energy.
The breath moves in like a tide.
Out like a tide.
Nothing to control.
Nothing to fix.
Just a gentle wave brushing the edges of your being.
And might you begin to sense the full moon rising in your inner sky.
The moon is bright,
Luminous,
Ancient.
She does not ask you to push anything away.
She invites release through softening,
Through melting,
Through allowing.
And now,
An invitation to take a physiological sigh.
A breath pattern your body naturally uses when it needs to release tension.
Gently inhale through the nose.
Then take a second softer sip of air at the top of the inhale,
Then exhale slowly through the mouth longer than the inhale.
As if fogging a mirror.
Feel the settling.
Feel the letting go.
Let's take two more together.
Inhale.
Small second inhale.
And slow release.
And again,
Soft,
Slow,
Unforced.
And let the exhale drain old heaviness from the ribs,
From the belly,
From the mind.
This is the nervous system unbuttoning itself.
Returning now to an effortless passage for breath to flow freely.
When the body feels open and clear,
A sankalpa,
A heart in tension,
Can land more deeply.
So now,
Could you welcome in your sankalpa.
Allow it to rise from within you.
Not forced,
Not chosen by thought,
But felt from the quiet places.
You might already be working with your own intention,
Or one of these might resonate for you today.
I release the grip of my past,
And I choose softness as strength.
Or,
Thank you for the experiences of this past year.
I am deeply grateful and ready to shine brightly.
And let your sankalpa root inside you.
Not as a wish,
But as a truth already unfolding.
Breathe it into the body.
Feel it become part of you.
And could you begin to draw your awareness.
A gentle focal point.
To the third eye center.
Between your brows.
And imagine yourself now.
See it in your mind's eye.
Standing at the edge of a still moonlit lake.
Silver light glimmers across the surface.
A mirror of the moon herself.
And with your next slow inhale.
Could you begin to see yourself.
Step into the water.
It is warm.
Surprisingly warm.
As if infused with liquid moonlight.
And feel the water rise to your ankles.
Your knees.
Your hips.
With every step.
Something old loosens.
Tension unwinds.
Stories dissolve.
Allow yourself to float.
Feel how effortlessly the water holds you.
Like the softest cradle.
And above you.
The full moon shines directly onto your heart.
A beam of silver white light.
Pours in.
Creating ripples.
Through your entire body.
Through imagination.
Subtle little movements.
Tiny sways.
Through the hips.
As you float.
A soft flutter.
Across the shoulders.
A gentle wave.
Through the spine.
You're not making these movements.
You're simply letting them arrive.
This is your body.
Your energy.
Unwinding itself.
Releasing what thought cannot touch.
Releasing what effort cannot untangle.
And perhaps you.
Intuitively and naturally.
Start physically feeling these movements.
Coursing through your body.
The moonlight amplifies this soft unravelling.
This soft swaying.
There's this natural current flowing through you.
As you float.
As you are being held.
Old emotional residues.
Dissolving through light and water.
And now.
Visualize the moonlight drying out.
Any fatigue you've been going through.
Carrying silently.
Any worries held beneath the surface.
Any beliefs that feel tight or outdated.
Or anything from this past year.
Ready to loosen its grip.
See these rise from you like threads of smoke.
Gathering into a soft glowing orb.
The moonlight receives them lovingly.
No judgment.
No story.
Only alchemy.
And the moonlight.
Below you.
Begins to glow up.
Through the back body.
Like bioluminescent moon water.
Like little sparkles.
Little bubbles.
Being magnetized towards your back body.
It rises with warmth and ease.
Soothing the kidneys.
Softening the psoas.
Untying the diaphragm.
Creating space behind the heart.
Relaxing the jaw.
From the inside out.
Your whole system.
Slows.
Into being.
Holding.
Into resting.
From effort.
Into surrender.
Let the moonlight condense now.
A small sphere.
A radiant glow floating just above your navel.
This is your full moon blessing.
Let it draw inward.
Gently settling into the sacral and solar plexus.
A warm pulse of confidence.
Intuition.
And inner guidance.
Feel it anchor inside you.
Feel it settling and being received by your sacral and solar plexus energy centers.
Above and below the navel center.
Could you let the vision of the lake.
Dissolve into mist.
And come back into your physical body.
Rested.
Renewed.
You slowly.
Slowly.
See yourself.
Back in your space.
As that visualization of the water.
Is completely dissolved now.
Your awareness back into your space.
You might welcome back your sankalpa.
Into your heart.
Your own intention or one of these offerings from the beginning.
I release the grip of my past.
And I choose softness as strength.
Earth.
Thank you for the experiences of this past year.
I am deeply grateful.
And ready to shine brightly.
To slowly deepen your breath.
You might wish to remain exactly as you are.
For as long as you desire.
Drift gently off to sleep.
But if you are ready to emerge from this state of deep rest.
You might start to welcome in.
Some gentle movements.
Your fingers.
And let the body return gently.
Through intuitive movement.
As if waking from a dream that softened the whole body.
Your eye covering if you have one.
And just start to notice the light filtering through the closed eyelids.
For a few moments.
Welcoming and receiving the light.
When you're ready.
If you're ready.
And notice the spaciousness within you.
Notice what has shifted.
Notice what is beautifully lighter.
Again.
This is Lauren.
And it has been an honor.
To guide you through this full moon practice.
Through your self-care and self-love practice.
Thank you for sharing your presence.
Your breath.
And your heart.
May this full moon continue to guide you back to softness.
Clarity.
Ease.
And the quiet brilliance inside you.
You might take some time now.
If it resonates.
To journal about your experience.
Maybe even journaling about your experience over this past year.
What you've learned.
How you've grown.
And what you're excited about.
As a new season approaches.
A new chapter.
As always,
I look forward to practicing with you again soon.
OM NAMO BHAGAVATI VASUDHAVAYA OM NAMO BHAGAVATI VASUDHAVAYA OM NAMO BHAGAVATI VASUDHAVAYA I bow to the inner self.
The one who liberates and dissolves all that is no longer needed.
OM SHANTI SHANTI SHANTI Peace in mind.
Peace in body.
Peace in spirit.
Namaste dear ones.
Shine brightly.
Always.
