Welcome,
Today we open the heart to radical self-acceptance.
This is not about fixing or changing,
But about embracing yourself exactly as you are.
The light and the shadow,
The beauty and the mess,
The strengths and the imperfections.
Let's begin.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or lying down.
Let your body be supported.
Allow the muscles in your face to relax.
Allow your shoulders to drop.
Now close your eyes and take a deep breath in through the nose and a slow sigh out through the mouth.
Again,
Breathe in deeply.
And exhale to let go.
Once more,
Let it be the deepest breath you've taken all day.
Breathing in through the nose,
Filling the belly,
The chest,
The throat.
Then hold at the top and breathe out fully,
Releasing any tension you may be holding.
Now let your breath return to its natural rhythm,
Soft,
Effortless and steady.
And with each breath,
Notice your body becoming more at ease and your mind becoming more quiet.
Now allow yourself to be fully relaxed.
And let yourself be heavy,
Soften the chest and the belly,
Loosening the hips and pelvis,
Relaxing the legs and the feet,
Relaxing all of your toes.
Now bring your awareness to your heart space.
Feel the gentle rhythm of your heart,
The quiet beating that has carried you through every moment of your life.
Breathe directly into this space,
Letting your breath soften your chest even more.
Now with each inhale,
Imagine a soft,
Green and golden light filling your heart.
And with each exhale,
Let that light spread through your whole body.
Breathing in unconditional love and exhaling softness.
As you rest here,
Invite the image or sense of yourself as a tiny being,
Pure,
Innocent and full of possibility.
Don't worry about seeing it clearly,
Just feel into the essence of your earliest self,
The one who arrived in this world untouched.
What do you notice in your body and in your mind as you focus on this image of yourself,
Of your innocent and pure self?
Now imagine this self growing,
Expanding and unfolding.
This innocent child who laughed,
Played,
Felt and learned.
A teenager who explored,
Who longed and dreamed.
A younger self who has known joy and challenge,
Light and shadow.
Feel into the truth that every version of you has been carried in this one heart.
All that you are today is the gathering of all these parts.
Now ask yourself,
What part of me is longing most for acceptance right now?
Listen,
And let the answer come however it wants to come,
As a feeling,
An image,
A word or a quiet knowing.
What part of me is longing most for acceptance right now?
Whatever arises,
Hold it in your heart.
Imagine wrapping it in green and golden light,
Letting it be embraced fully,
Without pressure to change or fix.
Acceptance is not about fixing,
It means holding no judgment and knowing that it is perfect the way that it is right now.
You are perfect the way you are.
What would it mean to you if you could give this part of you the acceptance that it is longing for?
How beautiful would it be to give yourself or this part of you the acceptance that it needs?
I will now offer you an affirmation that helps with acceptance.
If this one doesn't resonate with you,
Know that you can always come up with your own affirmation.
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
I have complete acceptance of the person I was,
Of the person I am today and the person that I am becoming.
Notice how it feels in your body as you say those words.
How does it make your heart feel?
And also,
Notice if there is any judgment coming up.
Can you invite this judgment to soften?
Let's stay here for a few moments just to soak up this beautiful energy of acceptance and love.
Radical self-acceptance is not passive.
It is powerful.
It is the choice to stop resisting yourself and instead rest in wholeness.
Let's stay here for a few more breaths,
Simply resting in the heart space,
Letting your whole being be held in love and acceptance.
Slowly return your awareness to your body,
To the weight of your legs,
Your arms,
Noticing your breath.
Now wiggle your fingers and toes to wake up the body.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes.
Know that nothing within you is unworthy of love.
Radical self-acceptance is the soil where growth,
Healing and wholeness naturally flourish.
Thank you so much for practicing today and I hope to see you again tomorrow.
