Welcome to this I am meditation.
In this practice we will work on grounding ourselves in the present moment to allow ourselves to connect more deeply to our true self.
Let's begin.
Start by finding a comfortable seat,
One in which your spine is straight and your shoulders relaxed.
Let your hands rest gently on your knees or lap.
Keep a light smile on your face to remind yourself that in this moment everything is exactly as it should be.
Now start to become aware of your body.
Feel the weight of your body on the ground or chair beneath you.
Visualize the shape of your body and the position that you're sitting in as if you are looking at yourself in the mirror.
Feel the beating of your heart in your chest.
Notice if there is any tension in the body that you can let go of.
See if you can relax your body fully.
Allow yourself to be fully immersed in this present moment,
Letting go of everything that is distracting you from being here.
Bring your attention to the breath and become aware of the depth of your breathing.
There is no need to change the breath in any way,
Just notice how it is right now.
Feel the air flowing effortlessly in and out of your body.
Pay attention to the rising and falling of your belly and chest as you breathe.
Without any effort allow your breath to go deeper and deeper.
Feel that as you inhale your breath is touching your belly button.
Breathing all the way till your navel and back.
Follow the breath down to your navel,
Up and out again.
Visualize this.
Feel it.
At your navel center,
Deep inside your body,
You may feel sense arising of I am.
I am.
Focus your attention on this sense of being,
This feeling of existence,
Of I am.
Feel how this sense of I am is spreading to your entire body,
Filling you up like a balloon.
And with each breath you may this more and more.
Allow this sense of I am to fill up your body and feel it in every part of the body.
If a thought arises,
Simply notice it and guide your awareness back to feeling this I am.
Feel that you are connected with your core,
With your true self and rest in this feeling of I am.
In this beautiful space of awareness there is no struggle,
No worry and there are no unfulfilled needs.
There is only you as consciousness.
Let your attention rest gently in this sense of I am.
Slowly begin to deepen your breath again and notice the sounds in your surroundings.
Gently move the fingers and the toes to gently wake up the body and open your eyes and reorient yourself in the space around you.
Thank you for taking this time to practice and enjoy the rest of your day.
