Welcome!

In today's meditation we'll take time to connect with the nurturing energy of Mother Earth.

This will help you feel grounded and deeply supported.

Let's begin by settling into a comfortable seat.

There's no rush,

Take your time.

Just find a way to rest that feels natural and peaceful.

Start by taking a deep breath in through the nose,

Filling your belly with air.

As you exhale gently close your eyes.

Breathe in again and as you exhale let your forehead and eyebrows relax.

Breathe in again and as you exhale feel yourself sinking more deeply into the surface beneath you,

Supported by the earth.

There's no need to do anything right now.

Just allow yourself to be here in this present moment.

Notice how the breath gently moves your belly with each inhale and exhale.

There's no need to change anything,

Just breathe naturally.

As you breathe in,

Feel the fresh air entering your body.

And as you breathe out,

Notice how each exhale helps you relax a little more.

Our breath has the power to heal,

To bring us back to the present and to soothe our bodies and minds.

Begin to imagine yourself on the peak of a peaceful mountain.

You're sitting cross-legged,

Comfortably resting on the warm solid earth.

Take a moment to notice how steady and supportive the ground feels beneath you.

Feel the stillness of this sacred place.

The air is crisp and pure.

You can sense the strength of the mountain,

Ancient,

Unmoving,

Alive.

In the distance you see a valley of gentle rivers,

Vibrant green forests and a soft blue horizon.

Let your body soften.

Let your breath deepen.

This is a place where you are held,

Supported and safe.

Above your head you may sense a gentle golden light,

Like soft sunlight resting on your crown.

If it feels right,

Let this light gently enter your body,

Bringing peace,

Openness and connection.

There is nothing to do,

Just receive as much or as little as feels right.

The light moves to the space between your eyebrows,

Your third eye.

Let a soft glow rest there,

Inviting quiet insight.

Know that your mind doesn't need to be silent,

Just notice what arises.

Even a single moment of stillness is enough.

You are supported in seeing your truth,

Gently and without judgment.

Now turn your awareness to the sky above,

Wide and open.

Let your thoughts drift like clouds,

Coming,

Passing,

Floating away.

The light moves into your throat,

Clearing space and softening your voice.

Let that spaciousness soften the area at your throat.

You are free to express or to simply breathe.

Feel soft breeze across your chest,

Light,

Spacious and kind.

The light now travels into your heart center.

Let your heart soften into this moment,

As much or as little as feels comfortable.

And if it feels right,

Imagine your heart opening gently to this breeze.

No need to force anything,

Simply allow what is here to be here.

Feel the warmth of sunlight resting on your upper belly.

Let it glow in your solar plexus,

Your center of strength and will.

Let the light recharge you with quiet courage.

You are strong,

Even in stillness.

Now sense a cool mist in the air,

Gentle and refreshing.

Let the sensation wash over your lower belly.

Feel the light cleanse and nourish this space like a soft stream.

There is room for movement,

Emotion and creativity.

Now bring your awareness to the base of your spine.

Feel the steady ground beneath you.

If it feels right,

Imagine roots gently extending deep into the soil,

Down through the stone and earth.

Strong,

Alive,

Connected.

Let the light move down with the roots.

These roots hold you,

They nourish you and they remind you that you are grounded,

You are supported and you are part of this earth.

Take a few slow breaths here,

Simply resting as part of something greater.

With your roots down deep,

You begin to sense yourself not just sitting on the mountain but as if you are a part of it.

A sacred tree growing from the mountainside.

Your spine is the trunk,

Steady,

Tall,

Supported by the earth.

And your branches and leaves gently rustling in the wind.

If it feels right,

Imagine each of your chakras glowing softly now,

In harmony,

In balance.

Breathe with the earth.

Breathe with the wind.

Breathe with the light.

Let your whole system settle into this connection.

A sacred return,

A remembering.

And know this,

Mother Earth is here to support you,

Just as you are.

When you're ready to end this practice,

Gently begin to bring your awareness back to the space around you.

Notice the sounds and feel your body resting against the surface beneath you.

Take a moment to express gratitude for your connection with the earth and for your body which supports you so beautifully.

When you're ready,

Slowly open your eyes,

Bringing this sense of peace and crowning with you as you continue your day.

Thank you for practicing and enjoy the rest of your day.
