
7 Chakra Light Being Activation
The purpose of this practice is to open, activate, and clear your seven chakras as a portal to knowing that you are a luminous being, a being of light. The meditation begins with posture and relaxation cues to awaken inner sensory awareness and a feeling of relaxed openness. You then follow a sequence of cues to activate each chakra using attention, breath, and sound and connect all seven by breathing through the Central Channel. Consciousness expands upward and outward infinitely in all directions into vast luminous clarity and then flows down to fill the whole body with light.

The purpose of this practice is to open,
Activate,
And clear your seven chakras as a portal to knowing that you are a luminous being,
A being of light.
As we go through this practice,
We'll focus on breathing through each chakra together with visualizing a color and vocalizing and hearing a sound in each one.
You can do this either silently by listening to the sound for each chakra and feeling that vibration in each chakra,
Or you can vocalize it out loud and feel it vibrating through that energy center.
See if it's possible to practice mindfulness by paying attention on purpose in the present moment non-judgmentally like a curious observer,
Allowing whatever happens to unfold just as it does for you without evaluating or dismissing your experience as right or wrong.
Be gentle,
Kind,
And self-compassionate with whatever happens or doesn't happen for you.
Some people may experience energy surges,
While others may not feel much at all.
You may experience sensations such as tingling,
Itching,
Twitching,
Vibration,
Swaying,
Effervescent bubbling,
Or quivering.
You may feel heat or coolness.
You may feel taller,
More expanded,
See lights,
Hear subtle sounds,
Or feel pressure building.
You might feel changes in breathing or swings of emotion.
Whatever happens for you,
See if you can allow it to progress,
Shift,
And resolve while you remain calm and curious.
This practice will unfold in just the right way for you at this moment,
And it will progress,
Refine,
And expand the more you practice this meditation.
If you feel anything that feels like too much,
Pause the practice and settle into slow deep breathing while feeling your feet firmly on the ground,
And allowing the energy to ground and dissipate.
Going outside in nature can also help to ground and settle the energy.
To begin,
Let's sit comfortably upright.
Have your feet firmly on the ground if that's comfortable for you.
If you prefer to sit cross-legged,
That's fine as well.
If it's comfortable,
Cup your hands in your lap,
With the tips of your thumbs touching lightly.
Otherwise,
Rest your hands however they are comfortable.
Lightly close your eyes.
Allow yourself to settle in your seat,
Settling into the present moment here in your body.
Notice anything you are carrying with you into this meditation,
Any lingering thoughts or emotions.
Notice any sensations in your body,
And see if you can allow all of that to be just as it is.
You don't need to fix or change any of it.
Allow yourself to be just as you are,
Here,
Now.
Noticing the field of experience and whatever is present within it,
Become aware of the feeling of the space all around you.
Consider this space as a sacred space,
A space that embraces you,
A safe space.
As you feel this sacred,
Safe space,
Notice how your body begins to relax and settle a little bit more.
Consider your intention for this practice.
Why is this important to you?
Perhaps there is a specific issue you are working with.
Perhaps there is a specific issue you are working with or trying to heal.
Consider that this practice is not only for you,
That the effect of this practice extends to all your loved ones,
To everyone you interact with,
And even more widely and invisibly,
To all beings,
Our whole planet,
And throughout the universe.
Consciousness.
You are part of a greater whole,
An expression of one consciousness,
Experiencing itself in a variety of forms.
So consider dedicating this practice to the well-being of all beings,
That we might all tune into our energetic nature,
Come to recognize our essential oneness and live from that recognition,
That realization.
Now let's move into posture cues to settle even more deeply into relaxed,
Embodied,
Present moment awareness.
Focus down into the soles of both feet,
Contacting the ground.
Awaken sensory awareness here in your feet and your toes,
And allow them to soften and relax,
As if they are melting deep down into the earth.
The earth is the element of the first chakra.
Feel the grounding presence of the earth flowing up through your feet,
Through your shins and calves,
Up through your knees and thighs,
Into your hips and pelvic bowl,
Resting down in your seat.
Feel the weight of your body resting down in your pelvic bowl,
Resting down in your seat,
Resting down on the earth.
Now focus into your palms and fingers,
Resting cupped in your lap.
Awaken sensory awareness here in your hands,
And allow your hands to soften and relax,
As if they are melting down into your legs.
Feel the soft openness in your hands,
Connected to the soft openness in your heart.
As your hands relax,
Allow your arms and shoulders to relax down,
Releasing any tension in your shoulders,
Your neck,
And your head.
Imagine and feel as if a string is attached to the top of your head,
Drawing your spine gently upright,
Like a string of luminous pearls.
Feel your spine gently stretched from your perineum and tailbone,
Right up through the top of your head.
Feel your spine like a stream of light flowing upwards through the top of your head,
The seventh chakra.
Feel the tingling aliveness at the top of your head,
As your spine is drawn gently upright.
Tuck your chin just slightly,
Gently lengthening the back of your neck.
Rest your tongue upon the roof of your mouth,
With the tip of your tongue touching the gum line behind your upper front teeth.
Soften and relax your tongue here.
Softening your tongue is a wonderful relaxation signal that flows through your vagus nerve,
From the center of your brain,
Down through your heart,
Your abdomen,
And out through your whole body.
As you feel this wave of relaxation,
Smile,
A subtle smile of calm happiness,
Of appreciation and gratitude,
For this time to tune in inside.
Connect with these centers of vital energy,
Integrate them along the central channel,
The shishumna,
And use this as a portal to the deeper essence of who you are,
As vast consciousness.
Allow the feeling of smiling to shine through your eyes.
Release any tension from your eyebrows and your forehead.
Allow this feeling of calm happiness to wash down from the top of your head,
Down through your brain,
Down through your neck,
And down through your whole spine,
Down through your sacrum and tailbone,
Relaxing and releasing any tension along your spine,
And allowing it to flow down into the earth.
Now,
Focus down into your perineum and tailbone,
The area of the first chakra.
The color of the first chakra is red,
And the sound is LAM,
L-A-M.
As you breathe in deep red light,
Feel a gentle downward pressure in your perineum.
And as you breathe out through the first chakra,
Let go of any tension stored here in the vibration of sound,
LAM.
Continue breathing in this way,
Breathing in deep red light into the first chakra,
Feeling a downward pressure here in the perineum.
And breathing out through the first chakra,
Feeling the vibration of sound of LAM.
Feel the first chakra activate,
Open and clear,
Through the breath,
Color,
And sound,
LAM.
Feel that your breath is feeding the energy here,
Allowing it to activate,
Open,
And clear.
LAM.
Now,
On your next in-breath,
Draw the energy from the first chakra up into the sacrum,
The second chakra.
Breathe out through the second chakra to focus attention here.
Again,
Breathe in,
Drawing the energy from the first to the second chakra,
Connecting them.
And breathe out through the second chakra.
And one more time,
Breathing in,
Drawing energy up from the first to the second chakra.
And breathing out through the second chakra.
Now,
Focus on the second chakra,
The sacral center.
The color here is orange,
A deep orange,
And the sound is VAM,
V-A-M.
Breathe deep orange light into the second chakra.
And breathe out the sound,
VAM,
Through the second chakra to release any stored tension here.
Feel the second chakra activate,
Open and clear,
Through the breath,
Color,
And sound.
Breathe in deep orange light into the second chakra.
And breathe out,
VAM,
Through the second chakra.
Breathe in deep orange light into the second chakra.
And breathe out,
VAM,
Through the second chakra.
Feel that your breath,
Color,
And sound are feeding the energy here,
Allowing it to activate,
Open and clear.
Now,
On your next in-breath,
Draw the energy from the second chakra up into the third chakra in your lower lumbar spine,
Directly behind your navel.
Breathe out through the third chakra to focus your attention here.
Again,
Breathe in,
Drawing the energy from the second to the third chakra,
Connecting them.
And breathe out through the third chakra.
One more time,
Breathe in,
Drawing energy from the second up to the third chakra.
And breathe out through the third chakra to focus your attention here.
The third chakra color is solar yellow,
And the sound is ROAR.
Breathe in the color solar yellow,
A shining solar yellow,
Into the third chakra.
And breathe out the vibration,
ROAR,
Through the third chakra to release any stored tension here.
Feel the breath,
Color,
And sound activating,
Opening,
And clearing the third chakra.
Breathe in solar yellow,
And breathe out ROAR,
Through the third chakra.
You may find certain chakras easier to tune into and feel,
While others may be hard to focus on and feel.
Whatever happens for you is just right.
This process will unfold for you over time,
In just the right way,
Bringing you new insights,
Healing,
And awareness.
Now,
Moving from three to four,
Take a deep in-breath,
Drawing energy from the third up to the fourth chakra.
Which is along your spine,
Between your shoulder blades,
Behind your heart.
And breathe out through the fourth chakra to focus attention here.
Again,
Breathe in,
Drawing energy from three to four.
And breathe out through the fourth chakra.
One more time,
Breathing in,
Connecting three with four,
And breathing out through the fourth chakra.
The fourth chakra color is green,
And the sound is YAM.
Y-A-M.
Breathe in a glowing green color into the fourth chakra.
And breathe out the vibration YAM.
Y-A-M.
Through the fourth chakra to release any tension stored here.
Continue breathing with color and sound to activate,
Open,
And clear the energy of the fourth chakra.
Feel the energy of the fourth chakra brighten and glow as you feed this chakra with breath,
Color,
And sound.
Breathing in glowing green.
And breathing out YAM.
Now,
From four to five,
Take a deep in-breath and draw the energy from four up to the base of your neck,
C7 vertebrae,
Directly opposite the indentation below your Adam's apple.
The fifth chakra.
And breathe out through the fifth chakra to focus attention here.
Two more connecting breaths from four up to five,
And then out through five.
The color of the fifth chakra is blue,
And the sound is HAM.
H-A-M.
Breathe in a shimmering blue into the fifth chakra.
And breathe out the vibration HAM to release any stored tension here.
Feel the breath,
Color,
And sound feeding the energy of the fifth chakra so it glows brighter and feels more open and alive.
Breathing in the color blue.
And breathing out the sound HAM.
HAM.
Now we're going to connect one through five.
Feel the chakras as a brilliant channel of multicolored light from the perineum and tailbone right up through the fifth chakra at the base of your neck.
Take a deep breath in.
Gently squeeze your perineum and draw a strong,
Full breath from chakra one all the way up through your spine to chakra five.
And breathe out through the fifth chakra.
Two more times.
Breathe in,
Squeeze your perineum,
And draw a strong in-breath from one to five.
And breathe out through the fifth chakra.
Again,
Breathe in,
Squeeze your perineum,
And draw a strong in-breath from one to five.
And breathe out through the fifth chakra.
Feel the connection of the first through the fifth chakras glowing with multicolored light through your spine.
Now,
Connecting five to six,
We're going to feel the sixth chakra from the point where your spine enters your skull at the base of your skull through the center of your brain to the center of your forehead.
So that whole line from the base of your skull through the center of your brain to the center of your forehead.
Breathe in from five up to six,
Drawing energy from the fifth chakra up into the base of your skull through the center of your brain through the center of your forehead.
And breathe out through the whole line of the sixth chakra.
Two more connecting breaths from five to six.
Breathe in from five up to six.
And breathe out through the whole line of the sixth chakra from the base of your skull through the center of your brain and through the center of your forehead.
The color of the sixth chakra is indigo and the sound is Aum.
Aum.
Breathe the color indigo in through the whole line of the sixth chakra.
And breathe out the sound Aum to release any tension stored here.
Continue breathing in this way.
Breathing in indigo and breathing out Aum to activate,
Open,
And clear the sixth chakra.
Feel the sixth chakra lighting up your whole brain and your forehead.
Deep indigo blue.
And now allow the energy to collect right in the center of your brain.
Breathe in and out through this potent central point.
Now breathe from six up to seven.
Seven is the crown point at the top of your head.
Breathe in drawing energy from the sixth in the center of your brain up to seven at the top of your head.
And breathe out through the seventh chakra,
Out through the top of your head.
Again connecting six to seven.
Breathe in from six up to seven.
And breathe out through the seventh chakra.
One more time,
Breathing in,
Connecting.
Breathing out through the seventh chakra.
Now focus on the top of your head,
The crown chakra.
The color of the crown chakra is purple and the sound is Aum.
Breathe the color purple into the seventh chakra and breathe out the sound Aum through the seventh chakra to release any tension stored here.
Allow your breath color and sound to activate,
Open and clear the seventh chakra.
Breathing in the color purple and breathing out the sound Aum.
Feel the tingling openness and aliveness of the seventh chakra.
Now we're going to breathe from the first chakra up through the seventh to open this vital energetic highway of your spine.
So take a deep in-breath,
Contract the perineum and draw a strong in-breath up along the Shishumna.
All the way up through your spine to the crown and then breathe out through the crown,
The seventh chakra.
Again,
Contract the perineum,
Breathe in strongly,
Tuck your chin and draw the breath up through your spine,
Up through the back of your throat,
Up through the center of your brain and through the top of your head.
And then breathe out through your seventh chakra.
One more time,
Feeling this whole channel of light flowing up your spine.
Squeeze this whole channel to activate it.
Feel the contraction all the way up your spine.
And breathe out through the crown,
The seventh chakra.
Feel this whole channel of light flowing up through all seven chakras.
Activating,
Opening and clearing this whole channel from your perineum and tailbone right up through your spine and through the top of your head.
Allow the seventh chakra to open fully,
Fed by the energy flowing upwards through the spine.
Imagine and feel the seventh chakra opening and burning brightly like a violet flame.
Feel this violet flame burning brightly up through the seventh chakra,
Opening to the vast consciousness above.
Burning away any tensions,
Any resistance,
All the way up through your spine into the vastness above.
The seventh chakra opens fully now.
Consciousness expands upward and outward infinitely in all directions into vast,
Luminous clarity.
Boundless openness.
All-embracing awareness.
Are there any edges or boundaries to this vastness?
No,
It is boundless.
Was there a time when this vastness began?
Or when it will end?
No,
It is timeless,
Boundless,
Beyond time.
Beyond space and time as that within which space and time arise.
There is nothing you need to do here.
Luminous openness.
Now allow this luminous clarity to flow down in through the seventh chakra as a brilliant white light that includes all the colors of the rainbow.
Feel it flowing down through the center of your brain,
Down through your spine at the back of your throat.
Down through your spine behind your heart,
Down through your lumbar spine,
Your sacrum,
Tailbone,
And perineum.
Feel your whole brain and spine infused with brilliant white light.
Feel this light radiate out through your torso,
Arms,
Legs,
And your whole body.
You are a luminous being,
An expression of luminous clarity,
An open space of experience through which the one consciousness has an infinite variety of experiences from countless points of view.
You are a focusing of the light of consciousness itself.
There's no separation between who you are mind,
This nervous system,
And the one consciousness within which you arise.
Everything is made of this light.
There is only the light of consciousness refracting through infinite forms.
Feel the light within and all around and feel it radiate out.
Record this feeling of light in every cell so you remember that you are light.
Shine this light everywhere you go to everyone you meet who is also the light.
Feel this light radiate out through every cell so you remember that you are light.
Feel this light radiate out so you remember that you are light.
Now,
Slowly open your eyes and feel the light inside and all around.
You are a luminous being,
A being of light.
