Take a moment to find a position that feels truly supportive.

Maybe that's seated,

The spine long,

The shoulders soft,

Or maybe lying down gives your body the sense of ease it's craving.

Let the jaw loosen,

The forehead soften,

The belly relax,

Slow breath in and an open mouth exhale to release the day so far.

Let your breath settle into a natural,

Gentle rhythm.

Inhale softly and exhale slowly.

Feel the ground or the seat supporting your weight.

Let yourself be held for a moment,

Nothing to do,

Nowhere to rush off to.

Let the body unclench and drop into the small pocket of stillness.

Bring awareness to your inner world,

The place beneath the noise of the day.

There is a quiet part of you that you may not visit often,

But that's always there.

Place where your strength,

Your wisdom,

Your resourcefulness live.

You're going to tap into that now.

Gently bring to mind a moment in your life,

Big or small,

When you showed resilience.

A time you stayed steady or kept going or made it through something you once thought you couldn't.

Let the memory come naturally.

No need to search,

Just allow the moment to rise on its own.

Once the memory is here,

Notice how it feels in your body.

Maybe warmth in the chest,

Softness in the belly,

A little lift through the spine.

Let yourself re-experience the strength of that moment.

Not by thinking about it,

But by sensing it in your body.

This strength is not from the past,

It's yours right now.

If your mind tries to diminish the moment or tells you it wasn't a big deal,

Let that thought fade away.

Resilience shows up in countless ways,

Taking a breath when things feel heavy,

Showing up when it's hard,

Resting when you need rest.

Let yourself feel the truth.

You have survived.

You have adapted.

You have grown.

Bring one hand to your chest or your belly if that feels comfortable.

Feel the breath move beneath your hand,

Steady,

Alive,

Present.

This breath is one of your resources.

This body is one of your resources.

Your ability to begin again,

Another resource.

Let the memory of resilience settle into your body,

Like an anchor you can return to any time life feels unsteady.

Take a full,

Slow breath in and a long,

Open mouth exhale.

Begin to sense the room around you again,

The air,

The sounds,

The surface beneath you.

Invite gentle movement into the fingers and toes,

Softening the neck or shoulders.

And when you feel ready,

Let your eyes slowly open or lift.

Carry this knowledge with you.

Your inner resources are always here,

Waiting for you to return to them.
