Transcript

Please bring your attention to the breath.

Notice where you feel it most clearly in the body.

There is nothing you need to change.

Just notice breathing in and breathing out.

You may notice pauses between breaths or subtle movements in the body.

Allow the breath to be exactly as it is.

No need to control it or to change it.

As you stay with the breath,

Thoughts will appear.

This is natural.

When you notice that the mind has wandered,

Gently return to breathing.

No judgment,

No frustrations.

Just returning.

You may also notice sensations in the body.

Warmth,

Coolness,

Pressure or movement.

Allow these sensations to be part of the practice.

Breathing is always happening.

Awareness simply joins it.

If at any moment the mind feels overwhelmed,

You can return to the feeling of the body being supported.

For these few minutes,

Let breathing anchor you in the present moment.

As the practice comes to an end,

Note the quality of your attention.

And when you are ready,

Gently transition back into the rest of your day.
