Find a comfortable position and gently close your eyes.
Let your breath be soft and deep.
You are whole.
You are radiant,
Beloved.
Today you'll take a sacred journey through the seven gates of returning to your divine nature,
A journey into yourself,
Into the parts of you that have been hidden,
Misunderstood or silenced,
And into the vast and expansive light of love within.
With each breath,
You'll call in the presence of Mary Magdalene,
Apostle of the Apostles,
Holder of hidden wisdom,
Midwife of the Divine Feminine.
Together we'll move through the seven powers,
The veils that obscure the soul's memory of its divinity,
Each one holding both a wound and a gift.
We meet them now so that we may listen,
Love,
And surrender to all that is.
Take a deep breath and prepare to enter the first gate,
The gate of darkness,
The absence of light.
Here you find yourself standing at the edge of a formless dark void.
No shape,
No sound,
Only stillness.
This is the beginning,
The space before time,
The womb of pre-creation.
Take a moment to listen,
And then again,
Listen even more deeply.
In this ineffable darkness,
You hear and repeat,
I am love,
I am light.
You are not alone,
You are not separate,
You are being remembered.
Inhale the truth,
Exhale the illusion.
Next you'll enter the gate of craving,
Passing through veils of desire,
The pull of the material world.
Let it rise through your being.
Feel the longing for love,
Success,
Approval,
The desire for comfort and safety.
See yourself chasing all that can never truly fill you.
Remember,
There is nothing wrong with desire.
Desire is the spark of divine longing.
Bring that desire into your heart.
Let it be purified,
Cleansed,
Transmuted,
Made holy.
Remember and repeat to yourself,
What I seek is already within me.
Now you walk through the fog of forgetting,
The gate of ignorance,
Where truth feels distant.
Here,
All the times and places you were told you were sinful,
Unworthy,
Too much,
Not enough.
This is the place where institutions may have left their mark on you.
Telling you all the ways you are not good enough,
Not clean enough,
Not quiet enough.
Let that go.
You are not a sinner.
You do not need to be saved.
You are a sacred soul remembering yourself.
Let the fog lift.
May you see clearly now.
Repeat back to yourself,
I am divine.
I remember.
You come to the next gate,
Where the temptation to end it all,
The temptation to disappear reveals itself.
You see the parts of you that want to give up,
The parts that say life is too difficult.
Here,
There is a part of you that is drawn to endings,
To numbing out,
To escaping.
Pause here.
Place your right hand over your heart,
Your left hand over your belly.
Take a slow,
Deep breath.
There is a life force within you that wants to stay,
That wants to live,
That wants to create.
Say to yourself now,
I choose life.
I choose love.
I choose to remain when life gets challenging.
Now you come to the gates of the kingdom of the flesh.
You may feel tension in your body as it becomes a cage not of your making.
Here is where the shame,
The control,
The fear of your sensuality is lodged in your cells.
All the times you were taught to disconnect from your body,
To mistrust the wisdom of your blood,
Breath and bones.
Take a soft,
Long breath here.
Relish in your body as the temple it is.
Your body is not the enemy.
It is not something to be bypassed or turned off,
Shut down.
Breathe into your heart,
Into your womb space,
Into your imaginative mind,
Into the feet that help you walk through the world,
Into the hands that touch and help you create beauty.
Say to yourself,
My body is holy.
My body is my home.
Now we come to the gate of the ego's illusion.
The clever,
Foolish mind.
The one that judges,
Calculates,
Compares.
The one that says,
I know more than you,
I am right.
Bow gently to this part of you.
For this is the part that has tried to protect you.
But now you return to your deeper wisdom.
The wisdom of your soul.
Let silence be your teacher.
Let love be your knowing.
Repeat back to yourself,
My soul is wise.
And finally,
You arrive at the final gate.
The place of pain that has turned to wrath.
The place where your wounds have become weapons.
Where judgment has hidden your grief.
Where rage has replaced tenderness.
Where your anger was a cry for justice or unmet sadness.
Here you no longer need to hold this judgment.
Breathe it out.
Let the rage melt into truth.
Breathe and return to compassion.
Now that you have walked through the seven gates,
You see in the distance a figure cloaked in red.
She is walking toward you,
Slowly,
Silently.
Holding an alabaster jar.
The scent of fragrant holy oils and aromatic herbs fills the air.
Angelic harmonies dance around your ears.
And now the Magdalene comes to stand with you.
Face to face,
Eye to eye.
She takes your hands and wraps them in hers.
Holding them to her heart.
She bows to you,
Forehead to forehead.
And you breathe together,
Enveloped in the love and unity of oneness,
Of remembrance.
Beloved,
You have passed through each of the gates,
Each of the seven powers.
You have lifted the veils.
You are the living presence of the Christed feminine.
Not separate from God,
But one with her.
You are whole.
You are holy.
Let your heart be a chalice now.
Let love pour through it,
Anointing all who come into your presence.
And as you rise from this sacred journey,
You remember.
And so it is.
