This is not your typical meditation — it’s a soulful talk-meets-visualization for teens navigating big feelings, inner pressure, and the flickers of creativity or overwhelm. With gentle breath pauses and sensory invitations, I shares from my own fire journey to help teens connect to the flame within — the source of their power, aliveness, and emotional truth.

Hello,

My friend.

If you are listening to this,

Maybe something's been stirring in you lately.

A fire,

A frustration,

A pressure building inside.

Or maybe it's just a flicker,

A feeling that you can't name.

I want to tell you something from my own fire journey.

I used to think fire was what burned me.

The anger,

The grief,

The not knowing.

I tried to push it away,

To hide from it.

But I was wrong.

Fire isn't just destruction.

Fire creates alchemy.

It transforms.

It tells the truth.

And the flame that lives inside of you,

It's not too much.

It's your compass.

When I say flame,

I don't mean something out of control or dangerous.

I mean the inner energy that lives inside of you.

The part of you that reacts,

That feels,

That wants,

That creates.

It's your aliveness.

The part that lights up when something excites you or burns when something hurts.

So let's take a few minutes together to meet your own inner flame.

You don't have to sit perfectly still or clear your mind.

Just have to be here.

Take a deep breath with me.

In through your nose and out through your mouth.

Again,

In and out.

You can close your eyes if that feels good,

But you don't have to.

Now just imagine deep inside you that there's a room,

A quiet,

Glowing space.

And in the center is your flame.

You might even think of it as a hearth.

What does it look like today?

Is it flickering?

Raging?

Is it soft?

What color are the flames?

Can you feel the heat or seeing the flicker of shadows in the space around it?

Maybe you're just witnessing the glow.

This flame is a part of you.

It carries your emotions,

Your energy,

Your authenticity,

And your truth.

When you're overwhelmed,

It might burn hotter,

Right?

When you feel unseen,

It might dim,

But it never goes out.

Breathing in and out.

Now listen.

What is your flame trying to tell you?

Maybe it has a message.

Maybe it just wants you to feel.

You don't have to fix anything here.

You just have to let it speak.

If your flame could take a shape,

What would it become?

A painting,

An object,

A person,

A dance,

A scream into your pillow.

How can you let this flame move through you instead of holding it all in?

You are not too much.

You are not broken.

Your flame is not the enemy.

It is your light.

Think of one thing you're feeling right now,

Just one,

And let it rise.

Let the flame hold it.

What does it need?

A breath?

A cry?

A walk outside?

You're learning to listen,

And that is power.

Take a breath in,

And let it out with a little sound.

One more.

Inhale,

And exhale.

Your flame is still with you.

It walks with you,

And you can return here anytime.

Before you go,

Ask yourself,

What part of my flame do I want to bring in to the rest of today?

Maybe it's your honesty,

Your softness,

Your strength,

Your heart.

Whatever it is,

Trust it,

And thank yourself for being here.

You showed up.

You listened,

And that is the beginning of everything.
