Welcome,
I'm Jocelyn.
This is a daily reading with the Wild Unknown Archetype deck by Kim Kranz.
Whenever this reading finds you is the time for you to hear it,
The time for you to reflect on the teachings of the cards,
And of course I'm using my own guidance when speaking about the cards.
Today I picked the card,
The medallion.
It's a beautiful card and the medallion is about objects,
Passed down objects,
And the power and energy they hold within us.
The medallion on the card is gold,
It has a diamond in the center,
And that diamond is of the diamond shape.
And the first thing when I looked at this card that I noticed was the diamond inside the circle of the pendant.
And to me,
I immediately got the insight that this is about a journey from the root chakra to the solar plexus chakra.
And I say that because the root chakra,
I often use the visualization that it's a diamond.
It meets with our anatomical understanding in our bodies of the space of the root chakra.
And I do a lot of breath in and out of the diamond of the root chakra as the beginning chakra of where all of our roots,
Our soul ancestral roots,
This lifetime's ancestral roots,
The lessons that we learn or chose to learn in this life.
And as you breathe in through that diamond chakra,
You bring the energy up from that fertile soil.
And once that energy moves up into the root chakra,
The sacral chakra,
And then the solar plexus chakra,
That's where we begin to define,
To use our energy to create,
To manifest.
And in this medallion on this card is that diamond inside that gold circle of the medallion.
And it got me thinking about where we come from.
What roots do we tend to?
What roots are there that we haven't looked at?
Often roots in the soil,
We don't see them.
We don't want to disturb them.
We don't want to ruin them.
And we can't see all the tendrils of where they go.
So this idea of what do our roots look like of ancestry?
And can you actually pick up a physical object or something that's been passed down to you and see the cord,
The root of what that medallion holds?
Because physical objects carry energy.
And looking around at the jewelry or the books or the clothes that have been handed down to you from generations can be a key.
It can be an insight.
It can be a place to look for where all of that energy of your ancestry is directing you.
The medallion is about taking a look around you.
What do you hold onto physically?
What do you hold in your hands?
What do you wear?
It's interesting because I was handed down a house that I live in and it holds the energy of my childhood and every corner has that.
And choosing the medallion today has given me such an interesting revelation about what I have been given,
The soil that my seed has been growing in,
Opening in,
How my own roots are thriving in that soil.
And that doesn't mean that everything handed down is good for you.
Sometimes we hold onto physical objects that connect us to our past or generations before and they hold an energy that blocks us or keeps us in a state of fear or they might even create anxiety that we don't even know is happening.
The idea of the medallion,
If you can think about it like a locket,
Imagine that you had a locket that was handed down to you from two or three generations back.
All of the hands that held that locket,
That prayed over that locket,
Looked in that locket at pictures maybe or symbols and it brought a sense of trust or surrender or it brought a sense of jealousy or it brought a sense of love.
All of those hands,
That energy that's touched that locket,
Have been carried in the locket itself.
And it's not a judgment on being good or bad.
What this is is a call to look at your relationship to the physical objects in your life,
A call to see the relationship that you have with the physical objects that are meaningful to you.
So this is a call to look around your space,
Your body,
If you're wearing jewelry.
What objects are you called to?
Where do they come from?
What energy do these objects give you?
Do they support you or do they not support you?
Maybe it's time to release something that you've had for a long time that hasn't offered the support that you need.
Or maybe it's time to pull out something that you haven't touched in a while and connect with it.
You can do this by putting it in your hands,
At your heart,
Breathing into it,
Feeling the sensations that this object gives you.
Or if you're like me and you were handed down a home,
Putting your feet on the ground,
Connecting with the space,
Connecting with the floorboards,
The roof,
The frame,
Feeling the energy that comes from these pieces.
And you can also use this energy to your advantage.
But it is beautiful to have a reflection of your life when you take yourself out of the center of it and look around at the objects,
The physical things that are in your space.
Why are they there?
What do they give you?
It's so interesting because I really found a trunk recently that I kept all of this stuff from my teen years in.
And I recently went through and I released a lot.
My teen years were a time when life was a bit rough as far as relationships and love and self-love in particular.
And when I went through this trunk,
I found all of these letters and poems I had written to boys at the time.
And I read my words both silently to myself,
But out loud.
And I heard all of the angst,
All of the uncomfortable truths of who I was as a teenager.
And I sat with these papers and photographs and journals.
I sat with them in my hands and I said,
Do I need this?
Is this something I want to remember because I've grown so far from it?
One day,
Maybe I need to keep it,
Or do I need to release this now with that part of myself?
And in the end,
My answer was to release it.
And I went through and I kept only a few things,
Things that really felt they had the movement forward that I'm in now.
Right?
But as I cleared that trunk,
It made room for so many other feelings,
Relationships and ways of being.
So if you're finding this reading right now,
Take a look around your space,
Take a look at the things you wear,
Look at what the things that are around you are saying about you,
The energy they give to you,
Or don't,
And make some choices,
Release it.
Or maybe it's a situation where you wear it.
If it's a piece of jewelry or clothing,
I often wear pieces of my parents when they passed away in 2021.
And I will put on jewelry from them when I need a boost of confidence,
Or I'll put them on an altar to help energetically boost what I'm working on.
So this is no judgment,
No right or wrong,
Good or bad,
But just taking a look at all the physical stuff in your environment and saying,
Wow,
What does this do for me?
What is the energy with this?
Do I need this still?
Is this something that supports me or doesn't support me?
And release what doesn't.
Make sure that soil that you have your seeds in is supportive,
Nurturing,
Nourishing.
The soil being all of the things you surround yourself with.
So this reading will find you when you are ready to hear it.
Thank you so much for joining me in this daily reading with The Wild Unknown Archetype deck by Kim Kranz.
