This is the 4th in a series of Guided Curiosities and is focused in a Desert. Each of these Guided Curiosities is an exploration of a different environment to explore your inner landscape, to hone your muscle of curiosity and creativity while at the same time providing a beautiful relaxation. I often speak about how Curiosity and Creativity are the touchstones of Transformation, so I decided to start recoding these guided Curiosities in order to give you a chance to really dive into your inner world and experience your senses in different environments while following your curiosity into the details. These guided curiosities are an open exploration and everything you find in these environments has meaning. Enjoy the Exploration! I am a Cultivator of Curiosity and Creativity in the Human Experiment, a Soul Art Guide, Yoga Nidra Guide, Akashic Records Guide and a Human Design Mentor.

Welcome,

I'm Jocelyn and this is the fourth in a series of guided curiosities.

It's a guided visualization with a bit of relaxation into an environment and this environment is a desert.

So find yourself in a comfortable position where you can find a bit of stillness and I invite you if it's comfortable to close down your eyes.

And just without manipulating or changing your breath just begin to place your awareness on your breath.

Just following it,

Noticing it,

Being aware of how your body is being breathed by the breath,

This natural process that we don't even have to think about.

And by naturally just placing our awareness gently on experiencing our breath it naturally deepens just a little bit.

So just noticing and being aware of your breath.

You might notice how the air feels going into your nostrils or going out your mouth.

You might notice the temperature of air.

You might notice where the breath moves in the body.

Just allowing your breath to be what it is in this moment.

It might be shallow,

It might be deep.

There's no right or wrong answer here.

Just notice it and place a little bit of awareness,

Just a little drop of awareness on your feet.

The space between your toes or the arch in your foot,

The edges of your feet.

And place your awareness on the places where your body are supported with the gentle intention to allow those places to be fully supported,

Softening into that support.

And bring your awareness to your heart,

The center of your chest.

Imagine if you could on your next inhale,

Whenever that happens,

You could inhale into your heart space.

And when you exhale,

You could exhale from your heart space.

You're not altering your breath at all,

Just imagining that when you inhale,

You're inhaling into the center of your chest and exhaling out from the center of your chest.

And as you do this,

That heart space is softening,

Opening,

Widening,

Deepening,

Continuing to breathe in and out of the heart space.

And imagining that as you do this,

And your heart space is softening and opening,

And it's opening past the edges of the body.

And inviting your attention to the center of the forehead,

The mind's eye,

The third eye energy center.

Can you imagine as you breathe your own breath,

Your own beautiful breath,

Without manipulating it?

Can you imagine now when you inhale that you're inhaling from the center of the chest,

The heart center,

Into the mind's eye,

The center of the forehead.

And when you exhale,

You're exhaling from the mind's eye back down to the heart center.

And you're doing this at your own pace,

In your own time.

Inhaling from your heart center to your mind's eye.

And exhaling from your mind's eye to your heart center.

Inhaling from your heart center when your body is ready to inhale,

To your mind's eye.

And from your mind's eye,

You're exhaling down to your heart center when your body is ready,

Allowing your breath to breathe you.

And might you put your attention in the center of your head,

Imagining that your mind were like a muscle you could relax.

As if your mind were a fist that could gently unfurl.

And as you inhale,

Inhaling into the mind,

Inviting that softening.

And exhaling from the mind,

Softening,

Unfurling.

Bringing your attention to your eyes,

Your awareness to your eyes,

Your nose,

Your ears,

The inside of your mouth,

Tongue,

Gentle awareness,

Center of the throat,

Heart space,

Your ribs,

Belly,

Lower belly,

Pelvic bowl,

Your root center.

And we're just going to take three deep breaths,

Inhaling through the nose,

Opening your mouth and sighing out.

Two more at your own time.

And might you place yourself in a desert,

Standing in a desert,

Looking around.

What colors do you see?

Is there sand or rock at your feet?

Are your feet sinking in a little,

Or are they on top of what you're standing on?

Is it black sand or red sand?

Is it not sand at all?

Is it a glass pebble desert?

Is there brush?

Look down at what you're standing on.

You may want to kneel down and hold some of what you're standing on in your hand and look closely.

What shapes and colors shift when you look close?

What does it feel like in your hand?

Is it sand that cascades through your fingers?

Or is it heavy like pebbles or rocks?

Or maybe when you put your hand down on the earth you're standing on,

There's nothing to grab.

Maybe you're on a road in your desert.

But look closely.

How does the ground shift when you look closely?

And coming back up and looking all around in a 360,

Do you notice that it's flat or rolling?

Do you notice a horizon?

Is it daytime or nighttime or somewhere?

In between.

What color is the sky?

Is the sun directly above you?

Off to the right or left?

Is it setting or rising?

Or maybe there is no sun.

Are there clouds?

Are the clouds dark or light?

When you look out ahead of you in this desert,

Do you see a mirage of any kind?

Do you see plant life?

Or animals,

Lizards,

Bugs?

Is there anything special about your desert?

Do you see people or cars?

Or maybe there's something that looks out of place in this desert.

What is it?

Maybe there's a box.

Maybe there's something that's been forgotten here.

Take a moment to walk a few feet in your desert and notice where you are.

Are you in the center of your desert?

Are you on the edge of a desert?

Maybe your desert is in a land you've never been to before.

And maybe you've never seen a desert like this,

Even in photographs.

What does it feel like to walk in your desert?

Is it hard to walk?

Is it easy to walk?

Is it hard to walk?

Is it easy to walk?

Take a moment to close your eyes in this desert and feel.

Feel the temperature,

The heat,

Maybe the coolness.

Can you feel sand in the wind?

Do you feel sweat on your own skin?

Do you feel dryness?

Or maybe your desert is moist at this moment.

What do you feel when you close your eyes to this place?

Do you feel any kind of emotions here?

Is your heart calming down?

Or is your heart speeding up?

Is it a relief?

What emotions does this place bring up in you?

And take a minute to open your ears.

What do you hear?

Do you hear the sound of insects?

Of cars?

Of grains of sand?

Do you hear the sound of your own breath?

Do you hear nothing?

Opening your inner ears,

What do you hear?

Do you hear a voice?

Do you hear your own voice?

What is it saying?

Do you hear a distant running of a waterfall?

Maybe it's part of that mirage.

Do you hear the call of birds?

The roar of animals?

Do you hear planes above or helicopters?

Cars?

Or is it silent here?

Can you feel what it feels like inside your mouth,

Inside your nostrils?

What do the palms of your hands feel like here?

What does your skin feel like here?

Opening your eyes back up,

And taking a look around this place.

Everything has meaning here.

It is your place.

It is your home.

It is your home.

And there is no right or wrong way to experience it.

Maybe you brought a friend.

Or maybe you found a friend.

But look around.

Maybe that mirage is really interesting to you.

Or maybe the tiny grains of sand that hold you up,

And when you look at it closely,

It looks totally different.

And that is interesting to you.

There are stories here,

My friends.

Follow whatever is curious to you.

Ask questions.

Feel.

Listen.

You may want to move,

Or dance,

Or lay down.

And if it's too hot,

You may need to find an umbrella,

Or a glass of water,

And that's okay.

But you might not even have a hot desert.

It might be a desert of ice.

This is all yours,

And everything has meaning.

So go ahead and explore with a curious heart.

Somewhere within this desert.

Follow it.

And see what magic happens.

See what stories want to be told.

I'll remain quiet for a few minutes now.

Remember that you can come back here at any time.

This is your desert.

And you may come back in a half hour,

Or three years,

And it may be the same.

It may be different.

It might be mostly the same,

With a few things that are different.

There's no wrong way to be curious,

My friends.

Come back often.

See how it changes.

Get even more curious.

But know this is always here for you.

You can go to this desert any time you need.

A little inspiration.

So we're going to say goodbye until later,

To this desert.

We're going to just start to deepen our breath into our belly,

Inhaling and exhaling.

Three times.

Inhaling into the nose.

Opening the mouth and sighing it out.

Two more times at your own pace.

Coming back to your body.

You may want to wiggle your fingers or your toes,

Or touch your fingertips to your thumb.

A few different times.

You may want to roll your head.

You may want to shake out your shoulders.

Feel into the edges of your body.

The body is amazing,

Isn't it?

It offers us these amazing movements and feelings and sensations that we can even experience in a meditative state.

I find that fascinating.

So I've created these as a way to hone your muscle of curiosity and creativity.

I'll be creating more.

And yeah,

Thank you for joining me,

My friends.

Have a beautiful day.

Namaste.
