Hello,
This is Jennifer Ellis.
This meditation is called a needed moment of peace.
This meditation is for those times where we may feel like we do not have time to take a break.
We feel like we're carrying the weight of the world and we have so much to do.
These are actually the times where it would be in our best interest to take a little time out and meditate and when you do so it really supports you in being more present,
You have more patience and you actually can accomplish more.
So when you're ready to begin with me,
Snuggle in,
Close your eyes and let's start with three cleansing breaths.
I love the cleansing breath because it helps you to release and that way you're feeling a little bit lighter in the load you're carrying.
So we're going to inhale through the nose and then we'll exhale through the mouth and when you exhale through the mouth,
Anything that might feel like it's weighing you down,
I invite you to see it being released.
Let's do three of these breaths.
We're going to inhale through the nose,
Exhale through the mouth with a sigh,
Letting it go,
Releasing,
Inhale,
Exhale,
And one more time,
Inhale and exhale.
Now,
Just breathe without any thought,
I know that's hard,
Give it a try.
You know,
Often we're in such overwhelm and we're trying to do everything ourselves.
We might not be choosing moderation or asking for help.
We might not be working as a team,
We might feel just,
Oh,
I have to do it,
I have to do it,
No one else can do it.
And these moments of peace,
These needed moments of peace can really help us to take things on,
Maybe even support ourselves by getting some help or just going about the task in a more patient way.
Have you ever noticed sometimes when you go about a much needed task that you're rushing to do,
You end up doing it incorrectly,
You rush and it's not right,
It's not how you envisioned.
And this meditation can help you approach things that might feel overwhelming or you have too much to do with a little bit more presence and patience.
So you can do your very best,
No matter how much you have on your plate.
Our time is precious.
And spending it in times like this in meditation are so valuable.
Just be focused right now on the breath.
Like I said,
Without much thought,
Which is always so easier said than done.
And if you find your mind wandering,
It's no worries,
You notice it,
You bring it back to the breath.
A little moment of contemplation.
When you're feeling overwhelmed and you need a moment of peace,
How can you create more ease in your life?
Is there someone you can ask for help?
Is there a way you can consolidate tasks?
Is there something that can support you?
Maybe it's the realization you don't have to do everything alone.
And sometimes that needed moment of peace is after we've had a busy day,
We've accomplished everything and it's finally time to just sit back and just like we're doing now,
Meditating.
Bringing yourself perhaps back into balance after all the busyness.
And if you've tuned into this meditation,
I have a feeling you are needing a moment of peace right now.
Let's just continue to take this time to just be with our breath.
The breath is nourishing us,
It's helping us to oxygenate,
Energize us.
And then as we exhale,
We have the opportunity to release what might be weighing us down.
Speaking of,
How about we do three more of those cleansing breaths together to really support ourselves in that letting go feeling.
And here's what I'm going to ask you to contemplate here.
How would it feel if you just really verbally let go of maybe something you really need to let go of?
So when I bring you to that exhale,
If you want to be vocal,
Be vocal.
This is your meditation,
It's your time.
It's your needed moment of peace.
Let's do three more of those cleansing breaths.
Inhale.
And exhale through the mouth.
Again,
Be verbal if you want.
Do a ha sound.
Just exhale any way that's going to best support you.
Let's go for two more of these.
Inhale.
Nice,
Deep,
Nourishing,
Huge inhale through the nose.
And as you exhale,
Just let it go.
If you want to let out a growl or a yell on your exhale,
Go for it.
It might make you feel better.
It might bring you some peace.
All right,
One more cleansing breath.
Inhaling through the nose.
And now,
Hold that inhale for just a little second.
Anything weighing you down,
Anything that's causing you things that are other than peace,
Let it go through that exhale.
Go for it,
Go for it,
Go for it,
Let it go.
And now,
Just breathe naturally.
And you know what I'm going to say without much thought.
Just your breath.
You and your breath.
Now,
When you're ready to return from our meditation,
I ask you to pause.
Pause in peace.
And just start to slowly move your body as you tune into your physical surroundings.
You might hear the sounds in your room.
You might feel the temperature of the air in your body.
And if you had your eyes closed during our meditation,
Move slowly and mindfully.
And only when you're ready,
You'll open them.
And I thank you so very much for joining me for this meditation,
A needed moment of peace.
And I hope it delivered to you just that,
A little needed moment of peace.
