Hello,

Welcome to this meditation called A More Balanced View of Life.

When you're ready to begin with me,

Set up your space,

Get comfortable.

Make sure you're in a nice,

Quiet,

Peaceful place so that way you can just focus on you just for a little bit at least.

And then gently closing your eyes and we'll begin.

I call this meditation A More Balanced View of Life and that means it's supporting us to really see our reality,

Which is really just good or bad,

Those are just judgments.

We want to just acknowledge where we're at.

And some days we're going to feel more balanced,

Some days we're not.

And if you decided to click on this meditation,

It may be a day where you're feeling a little less balanced than others.

So we're going to start with a real vital piece of creating more balance in our life and that's gratitude.

Let's begin to create some awareness of all the good conditions you have around you,

Those that can support you,

Those that might even be quick fixes for balance.

Gratitude can be a light.

So let's just take a few moments of silence and bring to mind as many small or perhaps big joys in your life that you're grateful for.

Take a few moments of silence and I'll begin again when we're ready to get to the next part of our meditation,

Which will be a visualization.

Remember gratitude can be a light.

What are you feeling grateful for in this moment?

Now let's say thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

We are grateful for everything you just came up with that you're feeling gratitude around.

So once again,

Let's shout out in our heads,

Of course,

Because this is a meditation.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Thank you.

We are grateful.

All right.

Now we're going to play with balancing our energy through a visualization.

So in your mind's eye,

I'm going to invite you to see a waterfall.

This waterfall is beautiful.

It's clear and full of light.

See it.

And imagine yourself putting your hands in this waterfall.

The water passes through your hands.

Notice how that water feels.

And what does the waterfall sound like?

Now,

If you feel comfortable to go to a place in your waterfall where the water can gently wash over you,

See yourself doing that.

This waterfall,

This clear waterfall full of beautiful,

Vibrant light is clearing away anything in your life that may be holding you back.

It's clearing away any negative thought patterns.

It's clearing away any obstacles.

It's clearing away anything that you need to clear away,

Anything that's keeping you from maybe having that more balanced view of life.

See the water falling over you,

Washing all that away.

And you're part of this waterfall of light.

I'm going to now again provide you a little silence so you can really envelop yourself in this experience.

And when you feel complete,

Find a place near the waterfall where you can dry off and just bask in the bright,

Warm sunlight.

And as you see yourself going to whatever area kind of near the waterfall that you want to just lie down near or sit near,

Whatever feels better to you,

Feel that sunlight and how it nourishes you.

See that sunlight and feel that sunlight,

And it's filling you with positivity,

Balance,

And joy.

Really feel into this.

Feel that sunlight.

Experience it in your mind.

Now thank the waterfall for this experience.

Again,

Saying thank you,

Thank you,

Thank you.

We are grateful.

Now in the next piece of this meditation,

Instead of focusing on where we're not feeling in balance,

Let's focus on where we are feeling in balance,

Where we do feel we're succeeding and thriving.

And perhaps in recognizing these things,

We may come into more of a flow for the things and areas of our life where we feel a little unbalanced.

So once again,

I'm going to provide you with a little silence,

And I'm going to invite you to contemplate this.

It's always very interesting to me how we always go toward what isn't working rather than what is.

So let's play with flipping that and feeling into where we are balanced,

And maybe we can use that to help those places where we feel we're not in balance.

Continuing on this path of a more balanced view of life,

I recently read that compassion is essential for joy and happiness to be possible.

So I'm going to ask you,

Do you feel like you have compassion for yourself and others?

And where do you feel you could grow in that area?

And in exploring that,

You may be able to support that piece of your life where you're feeling out of balance.

Or at least maybe that compassion for yourself and or others may support you in feeling more balanced.

All right,

Let's contemplate that,

Shall we?

Balance is very possible when we remain in the present moment.

It's so hard to balance our lives if we're living in three dimensions,

The past,

The present,

And the future.

We can feel that we are more balanced when we remain in the present,

And that's all any of us truly have anyways.

So when you're feeling like a little chaotic and unbalanced,

I invite you to strive to just remain in the present moment.

And it's not always easy.

It takes practice.

And when we remain present,

We can feel like we have just this moment to contemplate,

To work on,

To do what needs to be done.

Nothing to do from the past,

Nothing to do in the future.

And before we conclude this meditation,

I'm going to invite you to smile.

The power of that one little facial movement,

It's universal,

The smile.

It transcends all languages,

The smile.

So I invite you to smile.

And maybe in that smile,

It can help you to stay more present and feel a little more balanced.

Let's take a deep inhale and exhale together before we conclude our meditation.

Let's take a deep,

Full inhale through the nose.

And then a very gentle,

Soft sigh from the mouth.

Start to feel and notice where you are in your space,

In your time,

In your present space and time.

Maybe start to bring a little movement to your body.

And my hope is that you can return to your day with a more balanced view of life.

And any piece of this meditation can be done to support you to remain balanced,

Remain present,

Or perhaps get back to balance if you feel you've fallen out of balance.

I wish you a more balanced view of life,

And I thank you for joining me for this meditation.

Thank you.
