By activating the parasympathetic nervous system, using subconscious suggestions, and employing visualization techniques, participants are guided to embrace food in a positive and calming way. This process helps rewire the body’s response to food triggers, allowing it to no longer perceive them as threats, thereby reducing anxiety around eating and encouraging a regulated nervous system. The abbreviated session is ideal for quick preparation before a meal, while an extended version is available for deeper healing. Music by AlanFrijns Photo by Pablo Merchán Montes

Today,

We're here to create a sense of safety and comfort around eating in this short session to use right before a meal.

Let your mind see your food as safe and get into a parasympathetic state.

If you'd prefer a longer version,

You may find one on my account page.

As we begin,

I invite you to gently keep a soft smile on your face throughout this session.

This small action signals to your brain that everything is safe and calm,

Releasing positive neurotransmitters that enhance your sense of peace and well-being.

Let's begin by focusing on your breath.

Sit comfortably and gently close your eyes while keeping that soft smile on your face.

Inhale deeply.

And as you breathe out,

Let your whole body sink into a calm,

Relaxed state.

Now picture the sensation of calm flowing down from your head to your toes,

Leaving you in complete peace,

Your body sinking into the surface beneath you.

Allow your breath to continue deep and slow,

Guiding your body into a state of rest and digestion,

While your smile signals safety to your brain.

Now that you're in this calm state,

Let's speak with your subconscious mind.

Food is safe.

It nourishes and supports your body.

Every bite you take brings essential nutrients that help you thrive.

As you eat,

Your body relaxes,

Shifts into a state of digestion,

Processing food with ease and efficiency.

Each time you listen to this,

Your body's trust in food grows stronger.

With every meal,

You feel safe,

Comfortable,

And at ease.

Food is your ally in health.

Every bite of food is safe and helps you thrive.

Now imagine yourself sitting at a table with a plate of food that once triggered you.

Today,

This food is safe.

See yourself taking a bite,

Feeling calm,

Content,

And nourished.

Your body processes the food with ease,

Embracing its nutrients.

As you enjoy each bite,

You feel a deep sense of well-being flowing through your entire body,

Feeling completely safe,

And you feel good for the rest of the day.

Now take a brief moment to be grateful to your body.

Feel that gratitude spread throughout.

Grateful that your body is learning,

Every day,

How to digest food with ease.

It's time to return to full awareness.

Take a moment to know that each time you practice,

This feeling of safety will deepen into your subconscious.

Now begin to count upwards from 1 to 10.

With each number,

Feel yourself becoming more awake,

More alert.

That smile still on your face.

And after 10,

Gently open your eyes and give your body a stretch.

Feeling refreshed and energized,

Ready to enjoy your meals with trust that you can heal and you will heal,

Because your body was made to heal.
