Welcome.

Whatever time of day you are showing up to this meditation,

Let's take this time to reconnect and center ourselves as mothers.

So go ahead and find yourself a comfy spot to sit down,

Lie down,

Stretch out,

Whatever feels good.

Maybe you're tucked away in a closet or sitting in the car.

Wherever you find yourself,

Just allow yourself to fully arrive.

Drop in.

Let yourself settle.

And when you're ready,

Go ahead and gently close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Take a deep breath in and let it out with a sigh.

So we're going to start with a simple breathing pattern to help bring us more into the present moment.

We'll breathe in for four,

Hold for four,

Breathe out for four,

And hold for four,

Like a little square.

Let's try it together.

Inhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Hold,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Hold,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Inhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Hold,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Hold,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Keep going at your own pace.

No rush,

No pressure,

Just riding the wave of your breath.

If your mind wanders off,

Just bring it back to my voice,

Come back to the breath.

Finish up your final round and return back to your normal breathing.

Nice work.

Now we're going to invite some gratitude into our hearts and into our minds.

Picture a moment that brought you joy with your child or with your children.

Maybe it's holding their tiny hand.

Something funny they said that makes you laugh or watching them as they sleep peacefully.

Let your love wrap around them like sunshine.

And as you see their face,

Allow an intention to arise that you speak to them.

Hold space for who they are today and who they are.

Say to them,

May I meet you today with patience.

May you feel seen and safe in our home.

May we learn together,

Grow together for the times that we fall short.

Holding space for them and holding space for who you are becoming too.

Take one last deep breath in and gently exhale.

Wiggle your fingers and toes.

Do a little stretch.

You can always come back to this meditation as many times as you need to reconnect and re-center.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes and have a wonderful day.
