This is a five minute meditation where we focus on balancing the doing and the being for the day.
We start by checking in with ourselves as we are here now,
So you may close your eyes and connect with the body.
You may feel where you sit,
Your legs on the ground or on the chair.
You may feel your feet on the ground.
And in this way you may ground yourself physically here now.
Now bring your awareness to the breath.
Just allow yourself to feel the breath.
Take this little pocket of peace for yourself to contemplate your day.
Keep your awareness as much as possible on the breath throughout this meditation.
Don't think about having to come up with answers.
Just allow the answers to come to you.
What will make today a good day?
Is it something you have to do or is it something you have to be?
What one thing do you need to focus on that will make you feel good tonight as you look back at the day?
You may have many important things to do today,
But for now focus on what you feel is most important.
Is it achievable and realistic given your schedule as well as your state of being both mentally and physically?
Maybe it's something you just need to start on.
If you just start on it then your subconscious mind will carry on the work as you do other things during the day.
Negotiate for a while with yourself.
And now make a firm commitment to focus on that one thing for whatever time you feel you have available today.
And now mentally note when you are going to do it.
