Welcome to this talk about dropping all your personal goals.

This talk is not about chasing more,

Becoming more or proving anything.

It is about the courage to loosen your grip and see what happens when you stop holding so tightly to who you think you should be.

Today we explore what it means to drop your personal goals,

Not forever,

But for a moment and listen to something deeper than personal ambition.

If you're tired of striving,

If you're quietly longing to just be,

This episode is for you.

Take a breath if you want to and let's begin.

There is so much encouragement these days to aim higher,

To plan further and constantly work on becoming the better version of yourself.

Be it your career,

Your social numbers,

A new wardrobe,

A good-looking partner,

A stunning holidays.

All those things you associate with successful life.

So we chase these things and we're told to set clear goals and make ambitious plans and stay focused on the next milestone.

It will take you there and you will get happiness in the end.

It can feel as if you always need to be moving towards something,

Proving something,

Achieving something.

But what happens if you loosen your grip on all that?

What happens if just for a while you pretend to let go of all personal goals?

Just imagine giving yourself the freedom to not have a direction you must push towards.

I want you to imagine putting down the pressure,

The expectation from yourself to yourself that you need to become a certain kind of person or reach a certain level of success.

Even just thinking about this can feel like a softening in the body,

A quiet breath you didn't know you were holding.

Because when you stop chasing a specific end point,

Life becomes wider,

There's more room to explore,

More potential,

More potential for like adventures,

More room to notice the small things,

More room to simply exist without constantly measuring yourself.

And the surprising thing is that even without goals you won't stop moving.

You still make decisions,

You still create,

Learn,

Grow,

But from a different place inside of you.

Not from the fear that you're not enough if you don't reach these goals that you have set for yourself,

But from spontaneous and genuine action.

There is already an inner motivation in you,

An inner compass and passion,

Natural and steady,

That doesn't depend on pressure or achievement.

And the good thing is we all have this.

It's hard to find you have to be still,

But something in you will always make you take the next step and you can decide if that's from fear or if it's from passion,

Spontaneous.

From yoga philosophy we talk about karma yoga,

Acting without attachment,

Doing what you do because of the doing itself,

Not because you're trying to force an outcome.

You write simply because something in you need to be written down.

There's a force there.

You work because you care.

You feel in service and are making a change.

You work out because your body wants to move.

You just go for a jog,

Not because you have to,

To look a certain way.

You just go for a jog because,

Wow,

You listen to your body and you're like,

Oh,

I want to move.

You love because your heart is wide open.

The action becomes its own purpose and something in you relaxes when you no longer demand a result from everything you do.

You've probably felt the other side of this too.

The heaviness of holding on to a goal long after it has stopped nourishing you.

Sometimes you keep pushing because you're afraid that letting go means failing or giving up or even becoming less worthy to yourself and in the eyes of others.

It's almost like it's the same thing.

But that kind of fear doesn't help you grow.

It makes everything feel tighter,

Colder.

Your thoughts,

Your breath,

Your days.

You try to control the events in the world and what's gonna happen instead of letting go.

And controlling the world,

I'm telling you,

That's gonna be very tiring.

It's just not sustainable and that's why we are all tired and burnt out.

But there is a gentler way.

Let go of goals that no longer support you.

Just release.

Accept what is unfolding in front of you and trust that it is enough.

Allow space for something new to emerge.

Something that grows from within.

Call it your true self or authentic self,

Genuine,

An inner compass,

Your true voice,

Whatever.

I don't care what you call it but just find it.

It's in you,

Behind all the fear and thoughts and struggles.

Be still.

Listen.

You're in there.

And then I'm not talking about the storied you.

I'm talking about the witness deep inside of you.

This is very yogic.

You who know who you are and what you like to do,

What nourishes you,

When you're in service,

Where you thrive,

Where you're in flow,

Where you can be yourself.

Maybe you can try a small experiment just to simplify a little bit.

Choose one goal that you have.

One personal goal.

It can be anything.

As long as it's something that you think will take you to the next level in life.

You got it?

Okay now take that goal that you've wanted for so long and you're striving and just drop it.

Completely drop it.

You don't need to do that.

Notice how it feels in your body when you release it.

Notice the ease,

The looseness,

The quiet relief and be still.

What lives in you now?

More openness?

Maybe less external pressure that you have made yours?

Can you sense a natural rhythm that carries you in a direction that feels more true than the one you have been forcing?

Letting go of goals doesn't mean letting go of meaning.

It doesn't mean letting go of your successful life.

It means giving meaning room to breathe.

It means finding back to who you truly truly are.

It means trusting that life has its own flow and that you don't need to hold everything so tightly for it to unfold.

So take a slow breath with me now.

Allow yourself for this moment to simply be a person who don't need to get anywhere.

A person who is already enough,

Already whole,

Already here and move from there.

This is a very deep move from contentment,

Full embrace,

Full acceptance.

Because the truth is you are perfect as you are right now and still you can improve.

But we have to improve from full embrace and acceptance.

And maybe it's in this simple being,

Free from all these expectations and striving,

That life finally becomes something you can feel again.

Fully and quietly from the inside.

And from there you move forward aligned with your inner compass but without a set destination.

That's the secret.

What an exciting journey that is.

You want to watch the movies where you don't know the ending.

So don't don't set a goal and try to get there.

It won't take you there.

Be a movie without an ending and just follow your true voice every day and let's see where you end up.

You're worth it.

Thank you.
