Welcome to this episode named Be Honest With Yourself To sit down and ask Am I being honest with myself?

It's a very simple question Yet often a difficult one to meet How are you really doing?

I often ask myself that and Just by asking the question Things that I had no clue about start arising within me My own truth Truth that I can use as a building block To take the right next step Where I am closer to myself So let me ask you How are you really doing?

Like really,

How are you doing?

Where in your life do things feel aligned?

And where do they quietly fall out of place?

What is underneath the feeling?

In which moments does it show itself most clearly?

You can explore this through Journaling,

Gentle reflection,

Contemplation or meditation When you write down your thoughts Or sit in quiet inquiry You often notice patterns you normally pass by As I said,

Just asking yourself the question Can turn into magic And only when we dare to meet truth as it is We can begin to understand ourselves And move forward in a way that feels Authentic and whole Being honest with yourself though can feel raw It asks you to stand in your own vulnerability Without masks,

Without any decorations You do feel very naked in that moment But there is a beautiful line from the poet Vigdis Garbarik saying How can you be naked when you are dressed in your own truth?

Honesty is not always pretty And it's rarely easy But through honesty we create space for real self-acceptance And the strength that rises when we no longer need to pretend Just to see that you pretend And taking small steps to be more true with yourself Is kind of the meaning of life I would say the meaning of life is to Find the long windy road back to yourself So you can live with integrity and meaning Knowing that what you do is what you're meant to do And then another question appears Am I honest with others?

Or do I hold back truth?

Afraid to lose relationships,

Work or approval?

Many of us learned early that honesty could be dangerous Maybe as a child you heard that you can't say that or don't be silly Small words but they stuck with you And to protect yourself you learned to hide parts of your truth This was a natural strategy at the time and you kind of needed it as a kid But now as an adult you can see something clearly That the people who silenced you,

They were not right There's no right or wrong The only right thing is what lives inside you and is true for you When you were honest as a child you were brave Braveness and vulnerability is the same thing Even Brene Brown says that And that courage,

It's still alive in you You want to be honest with yourself and others When you soften the truth and say I'm fine even when you're not You do feel that something is a little bit off You're sharing part of the truth because you're fine now and then But you know that there are parts of the truth that are missing in your answer So half-truths they build walls And whole truths build bridges Living authentically,

Expressing who you are And acting in line with your values and your inner compass It brings a deep sense of meaning and ease You can finally relax when you know the truth is told Even in your digital life,

Showing up as yourself Strengthens connection and lowers stress In simple terms,

When you are true to yourself Life becomes so much easier to carry Your truest path is to be real With yourself and with others Just be real,

Be real,

Be real Be honest You are worth it You're doing yourself a big favor You may have heard the saying that when you are genuine the right people stay When you start to be honest,

Because many people start to be honest at some point Like really honest And they notice that some friends they leave And some friends stay But the right people stay And you connect even closer to them Some people may drift away But the ones who remain are the ones meant to walk with you One thing is important here and that is Honesty is not about hurting or judging others with sharp truths Like I never liked you or you should have done this or that That's not spiritual That's fear inside of you Truth,

It is about standing in your own inner compass Your own feelings and needs And expressing them without blame Truth spoken from the heart is not a weapon It's an offering So ask yourself Do I dare to open up and share what is true with the people I care most about It might feel so frightening And at the same time deeply relieving Some will be able to hold what you share Perhaps they have even been waiting for your honesty They say I'm so glad you told me,

I knew this Oh my God It's so uplifting And others may pull away And I want to ask you Can you trust that this too is part of your path To let some people go Because your honesty to yourself is so much more valuable Than those people who will walk away Being honest with yourself and others Is an invitation to live more freely More lightly And more truthfully It asks for courage,

Yes But it offers the gift of genuine self-acceptance And self-worth In a life that's truly your own So take a breath here Feel the ground beneath you And ask yourself How am I?

How am I really?

Am I true to myself?

Am I true to my friends and family?

Do I dare to take that step And finally speak out what's true for me And let the truth inside you soften And slowly come forward
