It takes time for our brains to wind down from our day, especially with all we are bombarded with. This meditation is designed to help you fall or stay asleep. Gentle breath work, soft words of encouragement, music & PMR. Pauses are natural and used as a means to slow your brain down. While this may be difficult at first, it gets easier over time. Our brains anxiously want to fill in the blanks. Breathe and let try to let go of this. It is designed this way to help you. There is power is the spaces/pauses... Just breathe.

Now is the time to get ready to relax while drifting peacefully and effortlessly to sleep.

Hello,

Welcome to this guided meditation to help you sleep soundly.

Through this meditation you will be able to relax your mind,

Relax your body,

Relax your soul and relax your whole being so that you can lead yourself to a place of stillness and restoration and will be able to sleep so soundly and so peacefully.

You are ready.

Please now find yourself in a comfortable,

Safe,

Relaxed position lying down and in a place where you are free as you can be from any distractions that might arise until you awake.

Since you will be falling asleep here,

Please take an extra moment to make sure your body is comfortable and that you can settle in with ease and start to turn your attention in,

Giving awareness now simply to how your body feels,

How your mind feels,

How your and just observing it,

Not judging or attaching or especially ascribing any meaning to it.

You are okay now and in a good place and ready.

So just notice where you are at,

At this moment.

Now take a nice long deep breath as you begin your journey towards relaxation.

Now your breath is what is going to guide you to peace,

To stillness,

To relaxation and eventually to sleep.

It's always there for you so connect to your breath,

Feel it,

Breathe it and notice how it makes you feel when you begin to slow it down and imagine that you can breathe all the way down into your belly,

Relaxing and allow yourself to just experience and witness this tranquil sensation that your breath produces when you connect to it like this of relaxation and it feels so lovely to settle in like this.

Imagine also that your day or time leading up to this meditation is slowly,

Effortlessly and peacefully,

That's right,

Dissolving into the ethers of time and space.

You can allow all the things that came and went today to slowly dissipate and you begin to feel a stillness and a warm sense of peace flowing and washing over you.

It really is okay to let go because now is your time to rest and relax.

It's quite often that our minds are what causes struggles to get to sleep.

This is okay,

We're humans,

We do this,

But you can manage these thoughts with patience and practice so whenever you notice them,

Simply focus on connecting to and slowing down your breath.

Let's take this journey even further,

Even deeper.

You are settled in,

Breathing calmly and relaxing.

You are so very comfortable right now and starting to feel that sweet sense of peace and tranquility and release washing over you like how it feels when you finally begin to start to fall asleep.

You're feeling so calm right now,

So serene,

Much more relaxed than before.

Your body is becoming loose and settled and slowly letting go.

Let's take it deeper,

While still utilizing your breath,

Scan your body for any areas of tension and know that you are about to allow your breath to relax each and every part and it will feel so great to be relaxed and at peace.

You deserve this.

So for now,

Let's start at focusing your energy and your awareness and your attention at your feet,

As your feet will ground you and move you through the day.

Through this practice,

You will make your way up your body,

But when you come back down you will feel extremely relaxed and at ease,

Sleepy and peaceful,

Of deep relaxation and restoration.

Imagine now that your feet,

Imagine that you are allowing your breath to wash over your feet and relax them completely.

Imagine that there is this gentle relaxation that is growing at your feet.

This energy will soon begin to flow up into your body,

Very slowly.

For you,

This feeling might be warm,

It might be cool,

But whatever it is for you,

It's extremely peaceful.

It soothes you and helps you to relax even further.

Now allow this relaxing energy to begin moving slowly up your ankles,

Your shins,

Your knees,

The front.

Imagine now that the energy is moving towards your thighs.

Now the relaxation is moving towards your hips and to your bottom.

Taking a deep breath now.

Allow your breath to guide the relaxation and healing energy to your lower back.

Letting go of all the stress and strains of the day.

Melting.

Breathing.

Now bring the relaxation upwards along to your spine now.

Slowly relaxing.

Imagine the relaxation now entering the tips of your fingers,

Gently.

And now flowing up through your wrists into your arms.

They are now very loose and very heavy.

Now direct this relaxing energy to your shoulders,

Bringing a very gentle relaxation and sense of peace to these areas.

Your shoulders are so relaxed now that they simply roll back effortlessly and sink into where you are laying.

Now allow this relaxation to enter the area between your shoulder blades,

Peacefully and gently,

With grace.

Offering release to this area.

Breathing.

Imagine any areas of tension to simply dissolve and roll away.

Now allow the front of your body,

Specifically your chest,

To just open up and relax.

Soothing you with your beautiful breath.

Breathing.

Now imagine that the sense of peace and tranquility is now entering your heart.

Soothing it.

Slowing it down.

Imagine breathing into your heart and filling it with peace and relaxation.

At this moment,

Your heart knows no strife or hurt right now.

It's actually light and free.

It's resting.

Now allow this sense of relaxation to flow up into your neck.

Now this energy is moving towards your jaw.

Now allow the relaxation to slowly work its way up your face.

Relaxing your mouth and all the little muscles around your mouth.

Notice the sensation of the air quietly entering your nostrils.

Allow this energy to relax your eyes.

Allowing them to be still and soft.

And simply,

Now allow this relaxation to wash over your temples and all the areas of your forehead.

And all the way to the top of your head.

Imagine that this feeling of peace and relaxation is washing gently through your mind.

To peacefully melt away.

To dissolve.

It's loosening its hold.

And now,

When your mind is relaxed,

And when your mind is peaceful,

It can now fall.

It feels so wonderful to be relaxed like this.

You are so completely at ease now.

Sleepy.

Free.

So take a moment to just rest with this feeling of relaxation.

Breathing slowly.

So now let's take this sense of relaxation that you have created and roll it all the way back down your body.

Roll the relaxation and breath down your face.

Over your nose.

Over your mouth and to your jaw.

Allow it to deeply relax your neck.

Your shoulders.

Your hands.

And your fingertips.

Allow the relaxation to roll down your back.

Over your chest.

Relaxing at peace.

Allow the relaxation to roll down your lower back.

Your shins.

Enjoy the sensation of deep relaxation that you have created for yourself.

You're so sleepy.

You are peaceful now.

And allow yourself to fall into a peaceful,

Undisturbed,

Truly amazing how you are able to relax yourself like you have just done.

At this point,

You are the most relaxed you have been.

When you wake,

You will feel so fresh.

Rested.

Into your sleep.

And peacefully.

So until the next time.
