Hi,
This is Fran Chandler and welcome to this healing yoga flow.
This gentle,
Mindful flow is intended to awaken intuition,
Inner vision,
And mental clarity.
The flow supports the opening and balance of our third eye chakra,
Which is located between our eyebrows.
So through stillness,
And some grounding poses,
And just a little bit of pressure at the forehead,
We'll calm the mind,
Deepen awareness,
And just connect within our inner guidance.
So let's get started.
Let's come down onto our yoga mat for our first pose,
Which is an easy pose,
Sitting comfortably with your legs crossed and creating a long,
Tall spine.
Gently place your hands on your knees with the palms facing up.
If you'd like,
You connect your thumb and pointer fingers together.
Then I invite you to gently close your eyes and begin to draw your awareness to the space between your eyebrows,
Our third eye center.
Connect with your breath,
And on your inhale,
Begin to imagine a soft,
Indigo light glowing at this point between the eyebrows.
And then as you exhale,
Soften the muscles of your face,
Just allow the mind to quiet down.
Stay here for several rounds of breath,
Just slowly cultivating stillness and inner vision.
From here,
We're going to move into child's pose with our forehead grounding.
I invite you to release your hands to the mat and begin to shift forward onto your knees in a kneeling position,
And then bring your big toes to touch and allow your knees to be wide.
From here,
Sit your hips back towards your heels,
And then begin to extend your arms forward,
And gently rest your forehead on the mat.
Notice and feel the grounding pressure at your third eye center.
Let the breath become slow and rhythmic,
And again,
We'll stay here for several rounds of breath,
Just inviting awareness inward and quieting any mental chatter that still remains.
Take one more full breath here,
And then begin to walk your hands back underneath your shoulders.
We're going to move into a tabletop position,
And then from here,
We'll push up and back to downward-facing dog.
Curl your toes underneath,
Lift your hips up and back,
Creating a long,
Spacious spine.
Press firmly into your hands,
Soften your neck,
And just allow your head to hang naturally between your arms.
Invite your attention back to that third eye center,
Letting the breath clear the mind.
Stay here for several rounds of breath,
And ground the body while cultivating that mental clarity.
From our downward-facing dog,
We'll transition into dolphin pose.
Begin to lower your forearms to the mat,
And we'll keep the hips lifted.
Press down firmly through your forearms and your elbows.
Begin to notice and feel the length along your spine and the openness through the backs of your legs.
Bring the awareness back to the third eye,
Imagining breath flowing to this space.
We'll hold here for several breaths,
Building that mental focus and inner strength.
From dolphin pose,
We'll move into our final pose,
Coming onto our back,
Lowering yourself all the way down onto your mat.
From here,
We're going to bring the soles of our feet together,
Allowing the knees to fall open.
I invite you to place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly,
Or rest your palms outside beside you.
Gently close your eyes and return your awareness to the third eye center.
Visualize a warm,
Glowing indigo light pulsing gently with your breath,
Inviting clarity,
Intuition,
And inner wisdom.
Stay here for as long as you're comfortable,
Breathing slowly and deeply,
Until you feel ready to move back into the balance of your day.
Thank you.
