Now we will begin a healing chakra balancing meditation.

Make your way into a comfortable seated position,

Any seated position in which your spine can be straight and free,

Either cross-legged on the floor or perhaps in thunderbolt pose on the floor with support and there's also the option to sit in a chair.

If you do choose to sit in a chair then please sit slightly forward on the chair.

Make sure your feet are planted firmly on the floor,

Both feet and your knees at 90 degree angles and allow your back to be unsupported by the chair.

If this is uncomfortable for you then you can always take a firm cushion and place it behind you and allowing you to be straight but with support.

So please take a moment to adjust your body,

Take a moment to move your body,

Your chest and your torso slightly forward,

Slightly backwards,

Tiny movement side-to-side and just become aware as you do this of the moment at which your spine and your torso feel completely aligned with gravity.

Take this moment to find your center and once you've found it,

Stay there.

Lock your spine into this position,

Relax the shoulders down the back,

Make sure that you are at ease,

You're steady,

Comfortable and balanced.

And I'll invite you to take any mudra you wish,

Any hand gesture that you wish,

Perhaps you'd like Chin Mudra which is the index finger rolled down to the base of the thumb,

The palms facing down and the hands resting on your thighs or the other way around,

Nana Mudra with the palms facing up or you can have your palms open and facing the sky,

All relaxed with no tension in the fingers.

If your eyes are already closed,

I'll invite you to open them and then with intention,

Very,

Very slowly close them once more,

Symbolically allowing yourself to go inwards and as you bring a very subtle,

Imperceptible,

Almost smile to your face,

Remember that now is the time to let go of all your plans,

All of the organizational things you have planned for the day,

To let go of all the rushing to get here,

It doesn't matter now,

Now is the time to be in the present moment.

Try not to resist the instructions for this meditation,

Most importantly try not to move your body.

Now is the time for us to begin to scan our body,

To relax the body,

So I'll invite you to bring your awareness to the top of your head,

The crown of your head and imagine a very beautiful cord or thread is reaching out of the crown of your head,

Gently tugging towards the skies,

Softly elongating your spine,

Creating a little space between each vertebrae,

A little space.

You can very subtly,

Just a millimeter or so,

Tuck your chin to lengthen the back of the neck,

Keep your chest up and forward,

The mid-back is nice and straight and the hips are sinking deeply into the ground.

Then rotating your awareness once more to the top of your head,

Bring your awareness here and allow the scalp and the forehead to relax completely.

Once the forehead and the scalp and the ears are relaxed,

Bring your attention to your jaw,

Your cheeks,

Allow them to rest and relax now.

Notice if you're holding any unnecessary tension in these areas and let it go.

From here,

Rotate your awareness slightly downwards towards your neck and the top of the shoulders,

The place where the neck and the shoulders meet,

Relax this area as best you can.

Moving your awareness towards your upper arms and your elbows,

Allow them to be heavy,

Try not to resist gravity.

Continuing to your forearms,

Your wrists and then finally your hands which may be in a gesture or a mudra and if they are or even if they're not,

Try to relax the palms of your hands,

Relax your fingers and allow them to rest now.

Next,

We'll move towards the chest and then the upper abdomen,

Allowing them to relax while the mid-back stays strong.

If you notice your back has started to slouch slightly,

Very gently and subtly straighten the back.

Then coming down towards the lower abdomen,

The lower abdomen and the front of the hip,

Hip bones and the hip joints,

A place where we really do hold a lot of tension.

Just notice,

Are you holding unnecessary tension in your abdomen,

In the lower abs and in the hip joints?

Can you release a little more?

And then also releasing from the glute muscles,

The backs of the thighs and the front of the thighs.

Moving your awareness down towards your knee joints and your calf muscles,

Time to release any extra tension we're holding there.

And then finally coming out to the feet,

The ankles and the toes.

Relax those areas,

Allow them to be loose and light rather than tight and heavy.

And notice by how bringing attention to these areas of the body,

Bringing your awareness to these areas of the body,

This is enough to naturally relax the body.

Now that your body is feeling grounded,

Now that your body is relaxed,

We can slowly move our awareness to the breath and watch the breath in the nostrils.

Become the witness of the incoming and outgoing breath.

Become aware of the temperature of the breath.

Notice how the cool sensation is there with the inhalation and there is a warm sensation with the exhalation.

Witness this,

Observe this.

Stay with your breath.

If you notice your mind is moving away from the breath,

Gently bring it back with a smile and watch the breath.

Next we will bring our awareness to the breath in the throat.

Very gently guide your awareness from the nostrils towards your throat.

Become aware of the breath and the sensation of the breath in your throat area.

Become aware of the volume of the breath in the throat.

Become a witness of how that feels in your throat,

The sensation of the breath.

Stay with the breath.

And now that the breath is relaxed and smooth and even,

We can gently guide our awareness to our Sushumna,

Our spiritual channel,

Our spiritual spine,

Which runs alongside the physical spine in the back.

Gently bring your awareness to your spiritual spine,

Which as I mentioned runs alongside the physical spine from the coccyx at the base all the way up through into the skull coming out at the crown of the head.

And I'd like you to visualize the Sushumna,

Your spiritual spine,

Your psychic channel,

As a beautiful white transparent luminous tube.

And within the tube we can become aware of all the chakras within their respective locations.

And I'll invite you to imagine a beautiful,

Beautiful ball of energy resting at the base of the spine,

At the Muladhara chakra.

And as you inhale,

This beautiful,

Lovely energy ball of prana is going to rise up through the channel,

Through all the chakras towards the crown of the head with your inhalation.

And as you exhale,

It's going to descend back down through all of the chakras,

All the way back down to the Muladhara,

The root chakra.

Going to continue doing this,

Rising with inhalation and descending with exhalation.

Clearing and cleansing the Sushumna as well as all of the chakras.

Don't worry if you're not sure of the location of the chakras,

We will come to that.

For now,

Just feel the movement of the prana in the Sushumna channel.

And have faith that this beautiful ball of prana is softly but effectively cleansing the channel and clearing the path for the chakras.

Now we'll begin to concentrate our awareness at the Muladhara chakra,

The root chakra,

Located at the base of the spine.

Bring your awareness to your Muladhara chakra,

Your existential identity.

Visualize Shakti,

Sacred energy,

Which begins at the base of the spine,

Moving up through your Sushumna,

Through your psychic channel,

Towards the crown of the head.

Towards Shiva.

Once it reaches there,

It brings down a little bit of Shiva towards the Muladhara with the movement through the Sushumna channel,

Bringing it down to the Muladhara chakra,

The root energy wheel,

Balancing it,

Balancing the Shakti and the Shiva energy.

So as we inhale,

Shakti rises from the Muladhara to the Sahasrara or the crown chakra,

Meeting Shiva.

And as we exhale,

It will descend,

Bringing some of the Shiva energy,

The balancing energy,

Down to the Muladhara,

Balancing beautifully your root chakra.

The Shakti is moving up through the Sushumna,

Emerging with the universal consciousness of Shiva at the Sahasrara,

As it gently then descends back down towards your Muladhara,

Nicely balancing your root chakra.

Next,

I'll ask you to bring your awareness gently to the Svaristana chakra,

The sacral chakra,

Your seat of your emotional identity,

And is located around four fingers above the root chakra.

Slowly move the Shakti up from the root chakra towards your sacral chakra.

Deeply concentrate on your Svaristana or sacral chakra.

Then you can begin to guide the Shakti up through the Sushumna channel towards the Sahasrara,

Crown chakra,

To merge with Shiva,

The universal consciousness,

Before gently descending down to the sacral chakra,

Powerfully yet subtly balancing your Svaristana chakra.

And now that your Svaristana is feeling nicely balanced,

You can gently switch our attention to the Manipura.

As the Shakti slowly rises towards our Manipura,

Our solar plexus chakra,

Which is located directly behind the navel in the Sushumna channel or in your spinal column.

Slowly bring the Shakti upwards and concentrate your awareness on your Manipura chakra.

Now that the Shakti has risen towards your Manipura,

You can begin to guide the Shakti towards the Sahasrara,

Merging with universal consciousness with the inhalation and then guiding it back down to Manipura with the exhalation,

Balancing your solar plexus chakra.

Stay with the visualization.

Keep balancing out your Manipura chakra,

Your ego identity.

Next,

We can slowly guide the Shakti awareness towards our Anahata chakra,

Your heart chakra,

Which is located directly behind the heart or the sternum in the spinal column.

Slowly bring the Shakti from the Manipura to the Anahata and deeply concentrate on your Anahata chakra.

Begin to raise the Shakti up towards your Shiva,

Sahasrara,

Universal consciousness at the crown of the head and then as you exhale you can bring it back down towards your Anahata,

Your heart chakra,

Your social identity,

Wonderfully balancing out your heart chakra.

Now that your heart chakra is feeling more balanced,

You can begin to move the Shakti upwards towards the Vishuddhi,

Your throat chakra,

Which is located in the neck or behind the throat pit in the spinal column or your Sushumna channel.

Gently guide the Shakti towards your Vishuddhi and deeply concentrate on your throat chakra.

Your throat chakra is your creative identity.

Concentrate here.

Then we can begin to guide the Shakti from the Vishuddhi or the throat chakra all the way up to the crown of the head,

The Sahasrara,

Meeting Shiva,

Universal consciousness and then guiding it back down towards your throat chakra.

Stay with the visualization and stay with your breath.

Then once your Vishuddhi is feeling nicely balanced,

I'll invite you to bring your attention towards your Ajna chakra,

Your third eye center,

Really allowing the Shakti to rise up towards your Ajna chakra,

Which is responsible for your transpersonal identity.

Deeply concentrate on your third eye center towards where the penile gland is located in your skull and brain.

Now you can begin to take the Shakti from the Ajna,

Third eye chakra,

Towards the Sahasrara,

Your crown chakra,

Merging with the Shiva,

Universal consciousness,

Before allowing it to descend back down to the Ajna chakra.

Once your Ajna begins to nicely balance,

You can bring the Shakti out for the final time to meet with the Shiva consciousness at the Sahasrara or crown chakra.

And as they meet,

Let go of the visualization and begin to be with the silence,

Glide into the deep silence within.

Silence is the language of the self.

Notice how as you watch the silence,

You are the silence.

Very gently begin to return your awareness back to the Sushumna channel,

Guiding the pranic energy ball once more from the base of the spine towards the crown of the head with the inhalation and guiding it down with the exhalation just for a few moments.

Next,

Gently guide your awareness to your throat.

Become aware of the breath in the throat.

Now gently rotate your awareness to the breath in your nostrils.

Just observe the very natural flow of the breath in your nostrils.

Try not to regulate.

Now you can begin to take some deep abdominal breaths,

Expanding the abdomen with each inhalation and contracting it with the exhalation more purposefully as you slowly guide yourself out of the meditation.

Take a couple more abdominal deep belly breaths and with each exhalation you can become more aware of your surroundings,

More aware of your body.

Do not open your eyes,

But place yourself in the room.

And I'll invite you to take one more deep breath to chant Om and three shanties with me.

Shanti,

Shanti,

Shanti.

Very slowly,

Keeping your eyes closed,

Begin to bring some movement,

Some mindful movement back to the body.

Slow and gentle movements of the fingers and wrists,

Maybe the neck.

You can begin to tilt the pelvis a little bit and of course you can release your legs.

And then whenever you feel ready you can begin to blink your eyes open.

Thank you so much for completing this meditation with me.

Wishing you a very,

Very beautiful time ahead.

Namaste.
