This simple yet effective letting go technique can be done anytime you are feeling ready to let go of what is no longer serving you. Tune into the body to feel where you are carrying this energy, then visualize what you are ready to release in the palms of your hands. Squeeze your fist as tight as you can and then let the hands open, palms facing up. Taking notice of how the body feels as you squeeze your fist and how the body naturally relaxes as you release. Surrendering deeper with each exhale!

Hi everyone and thank you so much for joining me for this letting go meditation.

While you get comfortable I want you to call to mind one thing that you are ready to let go of.

Don't worry you can come back to this practice and use it as many times as you need to.

It is simple and effective.

Now that you're comfortable let's begin by closing down the eyes and taking a few deep cleansing breaths together.

Breathing in deeply as you fill the lungs and exhaling through the mouth releasing a soft sigh.

Let's take two more breaths together like this.

One more time breathing in deeply through the nose and sighing it out.

As you let your breath return to its natural rhythm know that you do not need to force or change anything.

Breathing in and out through the nose and just resting with the breath.

Taking a moment to arrive in this space as you ground down into your sit bones and extend through the crown of your head.

Sitting up nice and straight using your inhales to invite fresh new prana or oxygen into the body and using your exhales to release any tension or stress.

Begin to observe without judgment as you take notice of any thoughts that arise and do your best not to get pulled into the story behind them.

If you notice the mind has drifted kindly and compassionately bring your attention back to the breath.

It is time to let go of what is no longer serving you and as you bring this back to mind tune into the body and see if you can feel its heaviness.

Maybe a knot in the stomach,

Tension in the shoulders or a hoarse throat.

Instead of trying to push this emotion away allow it to pass through you with each breath.

Breathing in deeply and silently saying to yourself let and on your exhale silently saying to yourself go.

Inhale let,

Exhale go.

With each inhale you feel calmer and with each exhale you feel this emotion less.

Breathing in peace and breathing out to release.

Inhale let,

Exhale go.

Now I invite you to visualize whatever you're ready to let go of in the palm of your hand and slowly one finger at a time curling your hands into your palms and making a fist.

Now begin to squeeze your fist as tight as you can taking notice to the body and how it feels.

Taking one more deep breath in and on your exhale releasing your hands so that your palms are back open.

Visualizing whatever it is in your hands as you let go and surrender even deeper.

Again taking notice to the body and how it naturally begins to relax.

Continuing to breathe in and out through the nose.

To close our practice let's rub our hands together as fast or slow as you feel called to do.

Maybe creating a little bit of heat and friction between the hands.

Maybe acting like you're washing them to get rid of any of that lingering thing that you are ready to let go of.

Maybe flicking the fingers a couple times shaking the hands out and placing your hands over your heart giving yourself thanks for taking this time out of your busy day to create a safe space to let go.

Instead of holding on to old beliefs that bring you pain and suffering you can now begin to welcome more peace and joy into your life.

Bringing your awareness back to the body wiggling your fingers and toes moving however you feel is needed and when you are ready slowly fluttering your eyes open.

Thank you so much for joining me and I look forward to breathing with you again soon.

Now I invite you to visualize whatever it is that you are ready to let go of in the palm of your hands and slowly one finger at a time closing your hands into a fist.

Begin to tighten your fist squeezing as hard as you can taking notice of how the body feels.

Take another deep breath in and as you exhale slowly releasing your hands with your palms facing open as you visualize whatever it is in your hand dissolving take another deep breath in and as you breathe out slowly releasing your hands so that your palms are facing back open visualizing whatever is in your hand take one more deep breath in and as you breathe out slowly releasing your hands so that your palms are open and visualizing whatever it is in your hands as you let go.

Again taking notice to how the body feels feeling the body naturally relax taking one more deep breath in and on your exhale releasing your hands so your palms are facing up visualizing whatever it is in your hands as you let go and surrender.

To close our practice let's rub our hands together as fast or slow as you would like taking notice of the heat and friction created by your hands literally washing away whatever is left rubbing your hands like you're washing them maybe flicking the fingers a couple times and shaking the hands out letting go of whatever else
