When life feels busy, noisy, or a bit too much, this short guided practice offers a simple pause. Just three gentle breaths to help you settle your nervous system, soften the edges, and come back to yourself. This is for those moments when you’re not in the mood to meditate, but you know your body and mind need a moment of calm. Short, steady, and human. No effort required. You can return to this anytime you need a reset. Image by Jplenio on Pixabay

Hello and welcome.

Thank you for joining me this evening.

I know at this time of the year things can be extremely hectic and sometimes the last thing you want to do is sit down and meditate or be mindful and yet it's often the most powerful thing we can do.

So if you want to keep it short and sweet,

This one's for you.

You're feeling like you don't have time,

You're feeling too much pressure and you maybe don't even want to do this,

Take a nice slow deep breath in and allow it to gently fall out your mouth.

One more nice slow inhale through the nose,

Pause and exhale out the mouth.

One more time in through the nose,

Pause and release it ever so slowly out your nose.

When the world is hectic,

If the world is pulling you away from meditation and you're so overrushed you don't even want to meditate and you don't want to sit still,

Just take those three breaths and allow them to be as slow and as easeful as you can and then inhale lift the shoulders,

Exhale drop the shoulders and move back into your day.

Thank you.
