Welcome to this deep sleep session that I've designed to help you drift back to sleep.
So,
To begin,
Regardless of whatever has woken you,
Gently and simply take a moment to make the adjustments you need,
Whether you need to change your sleeping position to help you feel even more comfortable in your bed,
Or find the right temperature for your body once again by removing blankets or sheets to cool you down,
Or maybe by gathering bedding up to cover you so you feel cozier and more snuggled than you did before.
You may even want to remind yourself that anything causing any concern in your mind right now in these moments can be and will be easily resolved in the morning.
Because right now,
Those thoughts are not necessary.
They have no place right now,
And you choose to not engage in them.
They can and will wait until an appropriate time of day.
This is your time for peaceful rest.
And as you lie there,
Listening to the sound of my voice,
Cast aside away from your sleepy mind any judgment or questions about why you have woken up,
Because the reasons simply don't matter,
All you need to know is that you are going to be returning to sleep very shortly,
Sooner than you may think.
Now,
Take a deep breath in,
And slowly breathe another deep breath in,
And breathe out slowly,
That's right,
And just allow your breathing to return to a pace that's right for you at this time,
As you follow my voice as I guide you back down into deep,
Restful sleep.
So,
Become aware of your eyes,
And how comfortable they feel,
Closed gently,
And concentrating only on my voice now,
Putting aside any other thoughts that come to mind.
Now,
I'm going to move your attention to various parts of your body,
And as you pay attention to that part,
I want you to relax every muscle,
Nerve,
And fiber.
So,
First,
Move your attention to your fingers,
Your hands,
Your forearm,
And your upper arm,
And as you notice this area of your body,
Slowly,
Become aware of any tension in those muscles,
Focus on that tension,
All those muscles,
Every nerve,
Every fiber,
In your hands,
And your arm,
All of that tension,
To flow away,
To drain down,
And let those muscles come to rest,
Allow them to just feel very comfortable,
And become aware of any tension you're still holding in these muscles,
And as you focus on them,
Every fiber in your legs,
And your feet,
And allowing all of that tension to just drain away,
And loosening those muscles,
So they feel very loose,
And comfortable,
So,
Now,
Become aware of the muscles of your stomach,
And your chair,
And notice how all the muscles in this part of your body,
Are gradually becoming more,
Coming to rest,
As all the tension just drains away,
And flows out of your body,
Now,
Let's focus on your shoulders,
And the muscles in your neck,
And your scalp,
And become aware of the tension here,
Now,
You can release that tension,
As every muscle in this part of your body,
Becomes more,
And more,
Loosening,
And lengthening,
Deeply,
Deeply relaxed,
So,
You can feel all the muscles,
In your entire body now,
As this continues now,
And every part of your body,
Feels so heavy,
So comfortable,
And I wonder now,
If you can just allow yourself,
To sing,
And trip down,
Deep relaxation,
Relaxation,
I'm going to count down,
And I shall use the word,
Drift deeper,
In between each count,
And you'll find,
That by the time I reach the count of seven,
You will,
Deeply relaxed,
Deeper,
Deeper,
Into sleep,
Safe,
