Never lose your sense of wonder. When we use the words "I know" we prevent our self from experiencing life with new eyes. This meditation is a reminder to see life as if through the eyes of a child- with optimism.

Let's,

For today,

Create a feeling of wonder.

Let's decide to see today and all we do today full of opportunities.

I wonder,

Can you soften your heart and see life as if through the eyes of a child?

Where everything is new and exciting and all is possible.

There are two simple words that can hold us back.

These words are,

I know.

When we say,

I know,

We close the doors and we create a life that is limited.

We prevent exploration because we already know.

But let's imagine that for today,

Everything you touch,

Everything you smell,

Everything that you see and you hear is for the very first time.

Can you imagine that everything you do may be for the only time?

How might you approach these moments,

Knowing how special they are?

Can you do so with full capacity and mindfully?

And let's do a practice using the breath,

Reminding ourselves how easy it is to bring ourselves into the moment.

And find yourself in a comfortable position,

Noticing any sensation,

A blanket wrapped around you,

A sweater,

Noticing the surface beneath you,

Enjoying this feeling.

Now,

Bring in the breath,

Draw this breath in through your nose.

Breathe in as if you were smelling some beautiful flowers or maybe home-baked cookies.

Pull this breath in as if you're trying to gather up as much of this scent as possible.

Now hold on to that breath as if trying to hold on to that scent,

Or maybe we hold on to the breath as if we are ready to dunk our head underwater and we need to hold on to as much air as possible so that we can stay underneath for as long as possible.

And when you can no longer hold on to that breath,

Do not just set it free,

But we do this with intention also.

We let that breath go,

We release it out as if blowing out 100 birthday candles,

Blowing out fully with joyful energy.

And notice that in this moment,

You could bring so much attention,

So much intention to your breath.

I wonder,

Can you go through your day with this same practice,

Whether this is doing the dishes,

Driving your car,

Talking to a friend,

Completing tasks through your day?

Can you do this with as much exuberance as we just did with our breath?

Can you make each moment memorable?

Can we let go of the words,

I know,

And explore life fully?

Let's give today as much attention and energy as we can.

Let's move through our day with excitement,

With a feeling of newness and wonder,

And that anything is possible.

Namaste.
