G'day,

Darren here.

In this fourth exercise we're going to start doing deep deactivations.

To start the exercise we're going to spend three or four or five minutes going through sitting still,

Eyes closed,

Head above spine,

No movement,

Just experiencing the sensation of the air passing across the skin of our nose.

As you go through this exercise daily,

You may by now have noticed that your body becomes very slow.

Your breathing may even befall down to what is called millimetre breathing.

Your chest is only moving a millimetre or so.

This is showing that your body has settled right down.

When you have done this for approximately five minutes,

You'll need to assess that yourself.

We're going to start the deep deactivation.

There are two ways we can do this.

Deactivate a specific situation or deactivate a general situation.

The second way is probably more common.

Dealing first with a specific situation.

Before you start this exercise identify what it is you would like to deactivate.

What situation?

The memory?

Something that is coming up?

Just be aware of what that is.

Once you've gone through the five minutes of calming the mind,

Think of that situation.

As you're thinking of it,

Pay attention to what energetic sensations come up in your body.

As the energetic sensation comes up in your body,

Pay 100% close attention to it.

Just observe it.

Don't make it right.

Don't make it wrong.

Don't explain it.

Don't justify it.

Don't fight it.

Don't resist it.

Just let that energetic sensation do what it wants to do.

You'll notice after a period of time that it changes.

This period of time may be less than a minute.

Depending on how long,

How deep the programming is,

It might be several minutes.

I've had some of these take 10 minutes.

While you are going through this deep deactivation,

Keep your attention on your sensations in your body and avoid being caught up in the thoughts.

You know you're caught up in the thoughts when you're not paying attention to the sensations in your body.

If you're talking back to that voice in your head and a conversation is happening,

You are in your thoughts.

Take your attention back to the sensations in your body.

You will never completely deactivate that voice.

Just let it do what it wants to do in the background and pay attention to the sensations in your body.

With practice,

You'll probably get to an 80-20 split of sensations to the voice in your head.

That's about where it seems to be a sweet spot.

If you have more attention on your body,

That is fantastic.

The second way to do a deep deactivation is just continue doing the body scan.

As thoughts come up of situations that have happened in your day or in your life or that are going on,

And that thought becomes prominent,

Go to wherever the sensation in your body is and pay attention to that sensation that is related to those cognitions.

As you're doing this,

Paying attention to the sensation will deactivate the process that drives those cognitions.

When you do this,

You'll be able to be in a position where you can address the cognitions without being caught up in them.

This is the most powerful way to make the best decision.

Please set a 15-minute timer and go through and do a deep deactivation.

Practicing this exercise every day for 15 minutes or more is a fantastic way to learn how to remain calm and stay in control,

Build your concentration and access your intuition.

Enjoy.
