Welcome.

Thank you for showing up,

For yourself,

For your healing,

And for the journey of reclaiming something that belongs to you,

Desire.

Let's begin by finding a position that feels safe and supported.

You might sit upright in a chair,

Feet resting on the ground,

Or you might lie down and let your body be fully held.

Gently allow your shoulders to drop,

Your jaw to unclench,

And your breath to slow.

When you're ready,

Close your eyes or soften your gaze toward the floor.

Feel the places where your body meets the ground or chair.

Let those points of contact remind you,

You are safe,

You are grounded,

And you are here.

With each inhale,

Breathe in through your nose,

And with each exhale,

Let go of anything you don't need to hold in this moment.

Now,

Let's bring your attention gently to your body.

Notice what sensations are present right now without any judgment.

Is there tightness,

Numbness?

Are you feeling any energy coursing through your body?

Breathe into those spaces.

If there's tension in your chest or pelvis,

See if you can send breath into that area,

Offering it space instead of control.

Desire lives in the body,

But addiction often scrambles our signals.

This practice is about learning to listen again,

Without fear,

Without urgency.

Without shame.

Now,

Imagine a small flame at the center of your chest.

This flame is warm,

Steady,

And alive.

It doesn't rage or consume.

It simply glows.

This flame represents your desire in its healthy form.

Not compulsive,

Not performative,

But personal,

Real,

Connected to who you are and what you truly need.

Now,

Imagine that flame being covered in years of soot,

Stories,

Shame,

Secrecy,

Comparison,

Guilt.

See yourself gently brushing that soot away,

Not all at once,

Just a little at a time,

Revealing the flame underneath,

Still burning,

Still yours.

You don't need to fear this part of yourself.

Desire is not the problem.

It's what we've been taught to believe about it that caused the harm.

I want you to take a moment to breathe with that flame.

Let it be small,

Simple,

And sacred.

As you continue breathing,

You can repeat softly in your mind,

Desire is not dangerous.

I can feel without acting out.

All right,

Let's say it again with your breath.

Desire is not dangerous.

I can feel without acting out.

One more time.

Desire is not dangerous.

I can feel without acting out.

Let those words settle into your nervous system like a gentle truth.

Now,

Let's return to your breath.

Let your body be still.

Let the music hold you.

This silence is not empty.

It's space for integration.

Let yourself rest here for a few moments.

As we begin to close this meditation,

Know that you are allowed to want,

You are allowed to feel,

And you are allowed to reclaim what addiction tried to steal.

Healthy desire is slow,

Rooted,

And connected.

It begins with presence.

It begins with you.

Begin to gently wiggle your fingers and toes.

Stretch if it feels good.

And when you're ready,

Open your eyes or lift your gaze.

Let's take one last deep breath and let it go.

I want you to remember,

I am able to feel without fear.

I am able to reclaim my desire with clarity and care.
