This Novena (9 days of prayer) was given to the servant of God, Father Ruotolo Dolindo in the early 1900s, for you to pray NOW. People have received countless graces, blessings, and timely miracles, both spiritual and material.

Welcome to our 9-Day Prayer challenge. This is Day 2.

Transcript

Good morning.

God morning to you.

God wants to talk to you.

Tell him good morning.

Right now,

Tell him you're here and thank him for being here.

Tell him to take over your mind and your heart,

To take over the world,

To remind you that you are not of this world,

Not even in this world,

To remind you that he is all there is.

He is appearing as the world.

Let him love you.

Close that body's eyes.

Jesus is saying,

I want you.

I want you.

I am here with you at this moment,

Longing to be so close to you,

Longing to share in your life,

Your thoughts,

Your actions,

And the love in your heart.

How do you feel in your heart at this moment?

Do you feel rejected and forgotten?

I know your every thought.

I know all of the feelings within your heart.

I ponder the ways of your heart and I know them and I want you to be so close to me.

You are my soldier of love and it is through you that I will light the darkened world.

I am giving to you abundant grace to grow closer to me.

Will you listen to me?

Listen all through the day when I am speaking in your heart and telling you that I want to be so close to you.

Tell him you love him and say it to him like he's in the room right in front of you or right behind you or right next to you.

I love you too.

I like to say it like that,

Like he's already said it.

That's why I'm filling it.

I love you too.

When I feel that love again,

Every time I turn to that love and notice that it's here,

It's like I'm saying I love you too.

Thank you for grace.

Thank you for not letting me get what I thought I wanted,

What I thought I needed.

Thank you for not giving me that comfort.

Pope Benedict XVI said the world offers you comfort but you were not made for comfort,

You were made for greatness.

Remember and right now your greatest cross is the fear of crosses.

Your greatest suffering is the fear of suffering.

To get past that,

To move past that,

You have to slow down and feel him moving.

John Piper says you have to occasionally weep deeply over the life you hoped would be.

Grieve the losses and then wash your face.

Trust God and embrace the life you have,

The one he is giving and thank him that he took the one that would have been a distraction,

That would have kept you from him,

Seemingly kept you occupied with the things that don't matter,

With the dreams that weren't even yours,

But just picked them up,

Collected them along the way.

His dream for you is beyond this world,

It's beyond your mind and yet it's before your face and will be experienced in this world.

He has set you on a hill and you are shining brightly even if you don't think you are.

Know that you are,

I see you from here,

That brightness can feel like a burning,

It can feel like pain,

It can be exhausting because you're not used to it,

You don't think you were cut out for this but he made you for this,

For this moment,

For this seeming world,

To change it with your love,

Not with the ways of the world,

The way the world tries to change the world.

There's a softness about us that is very powerful,

You can hear it in my voice and I can feel it where you are and so you don't get to hide anymore,

You don't get to stay in the boat anymore when he's called you out,

Stop waiting.

Joanna San Diego says stop coming back when you decide to let go,

Slowly walk forward to where God is leading you,

Walk towards him,

Stay in your now,

In your power,

In his name,

It's unhealthy for you to keep reminiscing,

You're here now,

Keep moving,

The Lord will fight for you,

It's okay to miss things and to miss people yet deliberately choose to be joyful where you are right now,

Forget the former things,

God is saying it's time to have new testimonies in me,

Let go,

Let go,

Let it go.

I am able to restore what was lost,

I am able to make up for lost time,

I am able to bring people into your life who I have taught how to love,

I am able to heal heartbreak,

I am able to bring the resources you need for the dream I gave you,

I am able to develop your character,

I am able to find you,

Pick you up,

Clean you off,

And help you overcome,

I am able to make your heart smile,

I am able,

God is able,

That's king of Solomon,

Let us pray,

These are Jesus's words to your soul,

Surrender to me does not mean to fret,

To be upset,

Or to lose hope,

Nor does it mean offering to me a worried prayer asking me to follow you and change your worry into prayer,

It is against this surrender,

Deeply against it,

To worry,

To be nervous,

And to desire to think about the consequences of anything,

It's like the confusion that children feel when they ask their mother to see to their needs,

And then try to take care of those needs for themselves so that their childlike efforts get in their mother's way,

Surrender means to placidly close the eyes of the soul,

To turn away from thoughts of tribulation,

And to put yourself in my care so that only I act,

Saying you take care of it,

And now we pray 10 times,

Oh Jesus,

I surrender myself to you,

Take care of everything,

Oh Jesus,

I surrender myself to you,

Take care of everything,

And you're saying this to him,

Not to nothing,

Talk to him like he's in the room,

In that place,

Because he is,

He is that place,

Oh Jesus,

I surrender myself to you,

Take care of everything,

You can shout it inside,

You can whisper it out loud,

You can fall out on the floor,

You could be on your knees,

Bowed,

Oh Jesus,

I surrender myself to you,

Bow like you know who you're speaking to,

Who you're praying to,

Last week I was outside working on the balcony,

Writing,

And I'd ordered a coffee which I hadn't done in a while,

Whenever I have a lot to do it feels like I need that comfort and a cup,

And so I'm sipping cappuccino and typing away,

And it's warm,

It's humid,

Right,

I live in Florida on the water,

And I see out of my periphery what looks like a bug,

And still instinctually my response reaction is always to swat or to duck,

And so I ducked out of the way but noticed that it was a feather,

But the feather was moving as if it was alive,

It circled me three times,

The wind was moving as the spirit moved it around me three times,

And then it blew off the balcony,

And I jumped up and watched it float back towards the ocean,

And then it came back towards me,

Back up onto my balcony,

And did a little dance in the air,

And then it fell to the floor,

And I grabbed my phone,

Snapped a picture of it,

And it blew away,

And I lost sight of it,

And of course the thoughts came,

What does it all mean,

You know,

The googling happened,

But before any of that came,

The mind was silent,

I was in awe,

The way I am when I'm looking at the moon every time,

It's new every time,

Looking at a sunset,

It's new every day,

The sunrise is fresh,

And it's seen in silence here,

It's not even sunrise,

Or sunset,

Or moon,

It's just beauty without the word beauty,

A live silence.

When I say Jesus you take over,

Which I said right before I got to work that day,

And that's why the work got done,

And the way it did,

I hear that alive silence,

A mind stops,

He takes over my mind,

And the fears go,

The doubt goes,

The confusion goes,

The worry goes,

The unworthiness goes,

The problems go,

There's only opportunity here,

Opportunity to get closer to him,

To hear him louder,

The world is screaming,

Your problems are screaming,

Your mind is screaming,

But they can't talk over him,

And as soon as you say Jesus you take over,

He silences all of that,

His silence thunders,

Get it,

If you only have time to read one chapter,

Read chapter 9,

And the last page of the book,

The last page of chapter 19,

It says as we meet with problems of every nature,

Conflicts,

Enemies,

Hatred,

Persecution,

Injustice,

We no longer try to reach out to remove them either physically or mentally,

But re-rest in his word,

Re-rest from all power and God works the miracle,

Rumblings of the thunder of the deep silence of my peace,

Of God's peace reverberate and increase in power until eventually they break every barrier,

The mighty noise of the silence grows in volume until its thunder rends asunder the veils of illusion and God stands revealed and all his majesty,

Glory,

His peace,

His beauty is before your face,

Tell him you love him,

Tell him to take care of it,

Jesus take care of them,
