Welcome to a guided meditation by Create the Calm.

Find a quiet,

Comfortable place where you will not be disturbed.

Sit upright with your feet resting on the floor,

Or lie down if that feels better.

Close your eyes gently,

Or soften your gaze on a single point.

Take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose.

Hold for a moment,

And exhale fully through your mouth.

Do that one more time.

Inhale deeply,

And exhale slowly.

Let your shoulders drop.

Your hands rest easily.

Inhale deeply.

Your jaw soften.

Feel the support beneath you,

The chair,

The floor,

The earth,

And let it hold you.

Bring your awareness to your breath.

Notice its natural rhythm.

There's no need to change it.

Where do you feel the breath most vividly?

The rise and fall of your chest?

The soft air at your nostrils?

Follow it in.

If your mind wanders to your to-do list,

A recent interaction,

Or to a self-critical thought,

That's okay.

Simply notice,

Say to yourself,

Those are just thoughts,

And return to your breath.

Each return is a moment of strength.

Now,

Allow a moment to surface,

Recent or past,

When you felt like an imposter.

Perhaps a time you doubted your belonging,

Or feared being found out.

Don't dive into the story.

Just notice the feeling that arises with it.

Where does it live in your body?

Is there a tightening in the chest?

An embarrassing heat in the face?

A flutter in your stomach of anxiety?

Acknowledge what's there without judgment.

It's simply information.

Silently say to yourself,

This is the feeling of imposter phenomena,

Or imposter syndrome.

It's a thought,

Not a fact.

Allow that truth to settle.

You're not broken.

You're experiencing a pattern of thought.

See if you can hold that pattern lightly,

Like a cloud passing through a vast sky.

The sky is who you are.

The cloud is only temporary.

Now begin a gentle rhythm with your breath.

As you inhale,

Say,

I am learning.

As you exhale,

I am growing.

Let's do that again.

Inhale,

I am learning.

Feel those words match the flow of your breath.

With each inhale,

Breathe in your real effort,

Your curiosity,

Your willingness to show up.

With each exhale,

Release the tension of perfectionism,

The tight grip of self-doubt.

If it helps,

Place a hand over your heart.

Feel your own warmth meeting you here.

Imagine a soft,

Steady light glowing at the center of your chest.

It could be pale gold,

Soft white,

A pastel color,

Or whatever color feels nourishing to you.

This light represents what's already true,

Your experience,

Your presence,

Your authenticity.

With every breath,

Allow that light to expand.

First filling your chest,

Then your shoulders,

Your throat,

Your mind.

See it washing over the places where the imposter feeling has taken hold,

Softening them,

Reminding them.

You are enough to begin.

You are allowed to grow.

This light doesn't have to be earned.

It's yours simply by being alive,

By showing up.

Say softly to yourself or in your mind,

I'm allowed to be here.

I belong here.

My growth is valuable.

My worth is not measured by perfection,

But by presence.

Let's do that one more time.

I am allowed to be here.

I belong here.

My growth is valuable.

My worth is not measured by perfection,

But by presence.

Let these words echo inside,

Becoming a quiet,

Steady truth.

Take one last deep breath in.

And as you exhale,

Imagine sending that warm light forward into your day or to your work.

Imagine how it will feel to move through the next moments not from fear of being found out,

But from the truth of being here to learn,

To grow,

To contribute.

Remind yourself,

Every expert was once a beginner.

Every master has doubted themselves.

Growth is proof that I am already becoming.

Begin to bring movement back to your fingers and toes.

When you're ready,

Open your eyes.

Take this calm with you,

Not as proof that you have to be perfect,

But as a reminder that you already belong.

Thank you! I try to remember not to listen to my monkey mind, and know I am a good and loving person.
