Welcome to this mini lesson from Create the Calm called Positioning Yourself for Abundance.

I'm so glad you're here.

Now before we begin,

Take a deep breath in and release it slowly.

Let your body begin to settle.

When we talk about abundance,

Most people think of receiving more,

More money,

More opportunities,

More love.

But abundance isn't only about what comes to you.

It's about how ready you are to hold it.

It's about emotional and energetic capacity.

Positioning yourself so that you can stay open,

Steady,

And safe when good things arrive.

For many of us,

This is harder than it sounds.

If you've lived in survival mode for a long time,

Your mind might crave peace and stability,

But your body might not yet trust them.

After years of striving and waiting for the next crisis,

Calm can feel suspicious.

Ease can feel like danger.

So today we're going to explore how to position yourself for abundance,

Not by working harder or doing more,

But by learning to feel safe in sufficiency.

We'll look at what happens in the nervous system when life begins to soften,

How self-abandonment keeps us in scarcity,

And how to build safety so that the abundance can flow to and through you with more ease.

Before we begin,

Let's prepare ourselves to listen deeply.

Find a comfortable position.

Let your spine lengthen,

Your shoulders soften,

And your hands rest where they naturally fall.

Take a slow breath in through your nose and exhale gently through your mouth.

Again,

In through your nose and out through your mouth.

Feel the support beneath you,

The chair,

The floor,

The earth.

Notice how that support rises to meet you,

Holding you without effort.

You don't have to earn it.

You're supported simply because you're here.

Now bring one hand to your heart and one hand to your lower belly.

Breathe into the space between your hands.

This is your center,

The place where intuition and safety meet.

As you rest here,

Silently remind yourself,

It's safe for me to be here.

It's safe for me to slow down.

It's safe for me to receive.

Take one more deep breath in and exhale fully.

As you begin to move out of survival mode,

You may notice something surprising.

When life starts to get easier,

You might not immediately feel calm.

You might even feel anxious or uneasy,

Waiting for something to go wrong.

This reaction is deeply human.

It happens because your nervous system has learned that constant alertness equals safety.

If you've spent years bracing for impact financially,

Emotionally,

Or relationally,

That state of vigilance becomes your baseline.

So when struggle eases and peace arrives,

It feels unfamiliar.

Your body wonders,

Is this real?

Can I trust it?

Your mind may understand that things are improving,

But your body hasn't caught up yet.

It's still wired for threat.

It's not sabotaging you.

It's trying to keep you safe from the unknown.

That's why abundance,

Especially after long scarcity,

Can feel destabilizing.

So to position yourself for abundance,

You have to teach your body that peace isn't a trap,

That safety and ease can coexist.

This is a slow and gentle retraining.

It begins with self-soothing,

Using breath,

And compassion to stay present with yourself when old fears arise.

When you can remain grounded during moments of uncertainty,

You begin to show your nervous system that it no longer needs to brace.

You start to trust calm.

That's when abundance can truly settle in,

Because abundance requires presence,

And presence requires safety.

Another piece of this shift involves recognizing how self-abandonment feeds scarcity.

Self-abandonment happens when you ignore your own needs,

Silence your emotions,

And shrink your desires to keep others comfortable.

When you repeatedly override your own truth,

You signal to your body that your inner world isn't a safe place to stay.

And if you can't stay with yourself,

It's nearly impossible to receive deeply.

Receiving abundance means being present for your own experience,

Staying with the fullness of joy,

Gratitude,

Or even discomfort that comes with expansion.

But if your instinct is to leave yourself the moment things get intense,

Even in good ways,

You end up pushing abundance away.

So part of positioning yourself for abundance is rebuilding trust with yourself.

It's learning that you will no longer abandon your needs or your peace when things change.

The more consistently you stay with yourself,

The more your system relaxes.

It begins to believe that it can hold good things without losing safety.

Remember,

Abundance begins where self-abandonment ends.

Now let's move from understanding into embodiment,

Practicing how this feels in our body.

Return to your breath.

Let your next inhale be a little deeper than the last.

Exhale slowly,

Letting your body settle.

Now imagine yourself standing beside a calm,

Steady river.

The water moves easily,

Its surface glimmering with light.

This river represents the natural flow of abundance,

Continuous,

Balanced,

And always available.

You've been standing on the bank for some time now,

Watching the current,

Wondering if it's safe to step in.

A part of you longs for the flow,

Another part hesitates,

Uncertain of what might happen if you let go.

Take a slow breath.

Place a hand over your heart.

Whisper softly,

You don't have to rush.

The river will wait for you.

One more time.

You don't have to rush.

The river will wait for you.

When you're ready,

Imagine dipping one foot into the water.

Feel its coolness,

The gentle pull of the current around your ankle.

You're safe.

You can step in slowly,

At your own pace.

Now take another small step,

Letting the water rise around your legs.

You notice that the river isn't forceful,

It holds you easily.

You don't have to earn this support,

It's simply there.

With each breath,

Let that awareness deepen.

I am supported because I exist.

I am worthy of ease.

I can rest in this flow.

As you breathe,

Imagine the river washing away the old tension,

Scarcity,

Fear,

And self-doubt.

They drift downstream without effort.

You don't have to force release,

You can just allow it.

Now visualize the sunlight filtering through the surface,

Touching your skin.

Each beam of light represents a form of abundance,

Peace,

Creativity,

Love,

Opportunity,

And vitality.

Let that light sink into you,

Nourishing your body and your heart.

Whisper gently to yourself,

It's safe to receive.

It's safe to feel good.

It's safe to expand.

One more time,

It's safe to receive.

It's safe to feel good.

It's safe to expand.

If you notice resistance,

Maybe a tightening in your chest or a flicker of fear,

Just observe it.

That's your body doing what it knows best,

Trying to protect you from change.

You can thank it for keeping you safe and softly say,

It's okay,

We're learning a new way.

Take another slow breath in,

And as you exhale,

Feel yourself floating in the gentle current.

You're not fighting it,

Not forcing direction.

You're being held,

Supported,

Aligned with flow.

Stay here for a few more breaths,

Letting your body memorize this feeling of safety within abundance.

As we begin to transition out of the practice,

Bring your awareness back to your physical body.

Feel the surface beneath you again and notice your breath,

How it moves now compared to when we begin.

Ask yourself,

What does safety feel like in my body?

Where do I still hold resistance to ease or expansion?

What sensations arise when I imagine being fully supported?

You might take a few moments after this session to journal your reflections.

Writing can help integrate what your body has experienced.

And as you reflect,

Remember,

Positioning yourself for abundance isn't about chasing more.

It's about creating the inner stability to hold what's already available.

When your system learns that it's safe to receive,

Abundance naturally flows towards you because there's no longer anything blocking its path.

Abundance doesn't require striving.

It asks for alignment.

When you position yourself for abundance,

You're signaling to the universe and to your own body that you're ready to stay.

You're ready to hold the ground.

You're ready to hold the good.

And you're ready to trust ease.

This readiness doesn't come from perfection.

It comes from self-trust.

From learning to soothe yourself when calm feels strange and to remain present when things begin to flow easily.

It comes from honoring your emotions instead of pushing them away.

From choosing to stay with yourself through expansion.

As you move through your day,

Remember that abundance is not only found in external success or material gain.

It's found in every moment of sufficiency.

When your breath feels full,

Your heart feels open,

And your presence feels enough.

You are allowed to thrive.

You're allowed to rest.

You are allowed to receive.
