Hello everyone and welcome to today's session.

Today we are going to do a state management exercise and we're going to focus on a empowering and confident state.

So as usual we're going to start off with a good deep breathing exercise so I'd like you to breathe in for four,

Hold for four,

Breathe out for four,

And hold for four.

Continue to do this deep breathing for the next minute or so getting yourself into a relaxed state but an aware state.

So continue to do that breathing to prepare ourselves for the state management session.

Now hopefully you all are now in a more relaxed but aware state.

I would like you to close your eyes with me if you feel comfortable doing so and we're going to work on achieving a 10 out of 10 for confidence and energy.

What I want you to begin doing is imagining a place in time,

Past,

Future,

Imaginary,

Whatever works for you where you feel the most confident and the most energized.

Start by visualizing where is this place?

What do you see around you?

Are you surrounded by a supportive group of friends and family?

Are you alone working on a very detailed project that your heart is fully engaged in?

Try and add as many visual details that you can to get yourself feeling confident and energized.

Whatever those details may be,

Could be the colors you see,

The objects or the people that surround you.

It could be the details of the environment itself.

As you fill out more and more detail of this place in time in your mind,

Begin to incorporate your sense of sound.

What do you hear in this space that encourages you,

That increases your confidence,

It makes you feel energized?

Do you hear the crashing of waves or maybe the subtle rippling of water?

Or maybe no sound at all.

Add as many sounds to your vision as you can that help get you to a 10 out of 10.

As we work towards reaching the state of confidence and energy,

When you reach that state of 10 out of 10,

Go ahead and raise your hand as an indicator,

Not only to yourself,

But to me.

That you have reached an 8 out of 10,

9 out of 10 or a 10 out of 10.

But until then,

Continue to build out that vision in your mind.

As you continue to add more sounds to your vision,

I want you to then start bringing in the physical sensations of this place.

Are you standing?

Are you sitting?

What kind of substrate is under your feet?

Are you holding anything in your hands or in your arms?

What emotions come with this place?

Continue to add those feelings to your vision as it continues to build you towards that 10 out of 10 for confidence and energy.

Now thank you all for raising your hands.

We're going to go ahead and move on to the next part and we're going to move towards feeling drained,

Unenergetic and lack of confidence.

I'm not going to stay here for very long,

So go ahead and lower your hands and think of how to get to a 2 out of 10 from that scale of confidence and energy.

Remember to bring in the sights,

The sounds and the feelings of this place and as soon as you do reach that 2 out of 10 or 3 out of 10 if that's low enough for you,

Go ahead and raise your hand again so we can try and get you back up to that 10 out of 10 again.

Remember details are very important.

It allows us to reach that state more quickly.

Imagine where you are,

Where you don't feel calm,

Where you feel like you have a lack of energy.

Are you by yourself?

Are you surrounded by people?

Are you in a room by yourself?

Are you out in an open area?

What sounds do you hear?

Okay,

Go ahead and lower your hands and now that we've reached a 2 out of 10,

I'm going to count to three.

I'm going to snap my fingers and on that snap I want you to remember that 10 out of 10 visualization you had for confidence and energy.

All right,

One,

Two,

Three.

Now remember the time,

The place and the environment,

All the details you brought in last time.

Bring those back.

Remember the sounds of this place.

Remember how you felt in that place.

While you're here and you've reached that 8 out of 10,

9 out of 10 or 10 out of 10,

I want you to imagine words or phrases that come to mind in this place.

What would you tell yourself about this place?

If you find a particular word stands out more than the others,

Go ahead and continue to repeat that word to yourself over and over to help reinforce this state of confidence and energy.

Now hopefully you've gone back and reached that state of a native 8 out of 10,

9 out of 10 or 10 out of 10 for confidence and energy and I want you to just sit in this state for the next few minutes.

Enjoy it.

Really get into that state of confidence and energy.

As you continue to bask in the state of confidence and energy,

Having that deep level of visualization of what you see,

What you hear,

What you feel,

And the words you tell yourself.

I'm going to ask you to create a new anchor for this state of confidence and energy.

Whatever physical anchor you want to.

This could be something holding your index finger with your other hand,

Touching your elbow,

Whatever is going to assist you in reaching this state more easily.

Go ahead and create yourself an anchor right now.

As a reminder,

You have the power to control your state whenever you want to.

This method of visualization of the sights and the sounds and the feelings and the words that you tell yourself help you get to that state.

The anchor reinforces getting to that state and you can do it anytime you need to reach the state of confidence and energy.

I hope you all enjoyed today's session and I hope to see you on the next one.

Thank you.
