Hello everyone and welcome to today's guided visualization session.
What we are going to work on today is removing self-doubt and limiting belief from our mindset.
To get us started I want us to work on some slow relaxing breathing techniques.
So go ahead and close your eyes make sure you're comfortable and begin to breathe in for four seconds,
Hold for two seconds,
Breathe out for four seconds,
And hold for two seconds.
Continue to repeat that cycle for the next minute or two.
Now as you go and continue to get into a relaxed state through the breathing technique,
A little bit about limiting beliefs for those that might not be aware of what they are.
Limiting beliefs are the things that hold you back from achieving the things that you want to achieve in your life whether it be in work,
Home,
Hobbies,
Whatever might be the case.
But it's stories and it's ideas that we tell ourselves that limit us mentally from accomplishing and reaching the goals that we wish to achieve.
Now hopefully you have reached a more calm and relaxed state and if you haven't already closed your eyes go ahead if you feel comfortable doing so close your eyes and I want you to imagine yourself sitting at your favorite desk,
Whichever room that might be,
Maybe it's at a library,
Maybe it's in your home,
But go and picture yourself sitting at your favorite desk in your favorite chair and in front of you on your table or in your desk is a blank sheet of paper.
As you imagine that blank sheet of paper imagine a wonderful pen sitting next to that piece of paper.
Go ahead and pick up that pen and imagine writing down all the empowering beliefs and the things that uplift you and make you feel good about who you are and what you do and what you accomplish and go ahead and start writing all of those things down on that piece of paper.
When you fill up that entire sheet just slide it over to the side and continue to work and adding more and more empowering and uplifting ideas about yourself,
About what you've accomplished and what you can do.
Go ahead and do that for the next few minutes,
Continue to write more and more ideas that uplift you,
That empower you and that make you feel good about who you are,
What you've accomplished and what you can do.
Remember as you fill up one page just slide it off to your left so you have a new blank sheet of paper and continue to write.
The more detail you can provide in your mind on these ideas the better.
Now hopefully in your image in your mind you have a nice big stack of all the things that empower you and make you feel good and that you've accomplished in your life.
You have that in a nice pile over to your left.
Now we're going to do the opposite.
We're going to take that blank sheet of paper that was sitting in front of you and we're going to write down all the disempowering or the limiting beliefs you have about yourself,
What you can accomplish,
What you have done in your life and what you can do with your life and start listing those out.
Just write them down on that piece of paper with as much detail as you can provide.
If you do fill up that sheet of paper go ahead and slide it off to your right,
Get another blank sheet of paper and continue to write.
I'm going to do this for the next few minutes and just remember more detail you can provide about those the better.
When you finish it move it off to the right and start with another blank sheet of paper.
Now that you have your disempowering or limiting beliefs written down on either one or maybe several sheets of paper and you have them moved over to your right,
I want you to imagine off to the right of your desk you see a box.
That box is the perfect size for your sheets of paper.
I want you to go ahead and take those disempowering or those limiting beliefs sheets of paper and open the box and put them inside.
Once you've done that go ahead and close that box and I want you to imagine standing up from your desk picking up the box and turning around.
Behind you you see a white door with a black handle on it.
You approach the door and as you approach the door you reach out and you grab the handle,
Turn it to open it and open the handle the door outwards.
Inside the doorway is emptiness.
Just a void in front of you.
Imagine taking that box of self-doubt,
Limiting beliefs and disempowering beliefs and tossing it through the doorway into the void.
You see it slowly tumbling away off into nothingness,
Getting smaller and smaller as the seconds pass by until you can no longer see it.
Now reach and close the door,
Turn back around and approach your desk again where you have this nice stack of empowering beliefs that really drive you to be the best version of who you can.
Sit down at your desk again and take the next two minutes to reread those and remind yourself of those empowering and fulfilling and fueling ideas that you've written down before and embrace all the feelings and energy that comes along with reminding yourself of those ideas,
Those accomplishments and what you're capable of.
Now that you've gone and reminded yourself of all those empowering beliefs,
Amazing accomplishments you've had in your life and all the things you are capable of,
Go ahead and take those sheets of paper.
I want you to fold them up and off to your left you see a small bag,
A satchel of sorts,
And I want you to slide those papers inside that satchel.
Stand up from your favorite desk and favorite chair,
Put the satchel over your shoulder and imagine yourself carrying away all those amazing accomplishments,
Those empowering beliefs and all the ideas that you are capable of and carry that forward with you for the rest of the day or however long and any time you feel yourself doubting what you know you can do and what you have accomplished,
Reach out into that satchel and bring up one of those empowering beliefs to remind yourself of what you've accomplished and what you can do.
