Hello and welcome to your Inner Sanctuary guided meditation.
Today's meditation we will be focusing on cultivating your Inner Sanctuary that you can go to anytime you need to and rejuvenate or refill your energy.
Let's begin by having you sit comfortably or lying down in a quiet space and if you feel comfortable close your eyes and take a few deep breaths.
Inhale deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Allow yourself to let go of any tension or stress as you exhale.
Continue to breathe deeply and bring your awareness to the present moment.
Feel the sensation of your breath as you inhale and exhale.
Let each breath bring you into a state of relaxation and peace.
Let your surroundings fade from your mind.
Let the sounds of the world become silent to your ears.
Continue to breathe deeply and relax further and further into your mind.
Now that the surroundings and the sound around you have faded from your mind,
Imagine a warm golden light surrounding your body.
Allow this light to start small and grow larger and larger with each breath.
Feel this light gently enveloping you,
Creating a protective and soothing cocoon as it grows large enough to surround your entire body.
With each breath,
Allow the warmth of this light to soak deep,
Deep into your body,
Relaxing your muscles and calming your mind.
Carry with you this golden light through this meditation.
Now visualize yourself standing in front of a green door surrounded by vines and flowers.
Reach for the door and open it.
As you move through the threshold of the door,
You arrive in a serene garden.
You see vibrant,
Colorful flowers that pepper the ground,
Tall trees that extend high above,
Creating a cool environment in the shade,
And you feel a gentle breeze that caresses your body.
As you explore the garden in your mind,
Notice the colors,
The smells,
All the textures around you.
Let your mind wander through this garden,
Your garden.
As your mind wanders through your garden,
Feel a deep sense of tranquility and connection with nature.
As you move through the garden in your mind,
Find a comfortable spot and sit down.
As you sit,
Become aware of the ground beneath you.
Feel the support it provides.
Let the feeling of the earth ground you and make you feel safe and secure.
Allow any tension,
Stress,
Or anxiety to melt away as you connect with the stability of the earth beneath you.
In this quiet space,
Imagine yourself moving further and further into the garden.
As you move deeper into the garden,
You see a small pond in front of you.
The water is clear and still.
Allow the stillness of the pond to be reflected in your being.
See the stillness in yourself as a feeling of calm and of peace.
Allow this calm and peacefulness to emanate from your center,
Your heart,
And let it expand to fill all of the garden around you.
As you look at the pond,
Visualize a series of stepping stones leading to the center of the pond.
Each step represents a positive aspect of your life.
Imagine stepping on each stone,
And as you do,
Reflect on each positive aspect with gratitude and appreciation.
As you step on each stone in your mind,
Take your time to appreciate the people,
Experiences,
And the blessings that enrich your life.
In the center of the pond,
You find a large stone on which you can sit.
Seat yourself on the stone and imagine relaxing into your position.
As you sit and reflect back on all those positive aspects of your life,
Allow the feeling of gratitude to fill your heart.
Sense the positive energy surround you.
Breathe in this gratitude and let it radiate through your entire being.
When you are ready,
Begin to move back across the stepping stones of the pond,
Remembering all the positive aspects of your life as you step on each one.
Continue back through the garden,
Remembering all the beautiful feelings,
Smells,
Sights of the garden,
And continue back through the green door in which you entered.
As you close the green door in your mind,
Bring your awareness back to the present moment.
Feel the weight of your body on the floor,
Chair,
Or whatever surface you may be laying on.
And when you are ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Take a moment to reflect on the peace and positivity you've cultivated during this meditation.
Carry this sense of calm and relaxation with you as you continue through your day or into the evening.
Remember,
This is your garden,
Your inner sanctuary,
And you can return to it any time you would like to enhance your calm and relaxation.
