Welcome,
Beautiful soul,
To this guided meditation.
Today we are going on a journey through the forest where we will meet one of your loved ones in the spirit world.
So get yourself comfortable now and then close your eyes and take a gentle breath in and blow all the way out.
Take a gentle breath in and slowly exhale and now imagine that you are standing at the edge of a beautiful forest.
Tall trees rise up around you and sunlight dapples through the leaves.
You can hear the rustle of the wind through the branches,
Squirrels running and playing and the gentle tweet of birdsong.
In front of you is a beautiful pathway.
Begin to walk along this stony path.
The ground beneath you is cool and earthy,
Autumnal leaves dusting the ground.
Each step you take now takes you deeper into this forest.
The air is so clear in here and with every breath you feel more peaceful.
You feel completely safe here and as you breathe in deeply through your nose you notice the scents of the forest,
Moss,
Wildflowers in bloom.
Let the sights,
Sounds and smells of the forest welcome you and as you walk you come to a small clearing.
Sunlight pours into this space like a golden spotlight and in the centre there is a smooth large stone for you to sit on,
Waiting just for you.
Move over to this stone now and as you sit on it you feel its coolness.
Rub your hands over the stone,
Feel its smoothness,
Feel its grounding energy connecting you to the earth below,
Feel its stability,
Feel its quiet strength.
And as you sit on this stone you become aware of the quiet embrace of nature around you.
You can feel the hum of the earth and a gentle breeze moves through the trees like a whisper.
And as you sit in this sacred space you are open to meeting a loved one in spirit.
You don't need to force or expect.
Just invite your loved ones in now,
Gently,
Lovingly,
Silently say I now welcome the presence of my loved ones from the spirit world and just be peaceful.
The energy begins to shift slightly.
You may feel a familiar warmth,
Maybe you sense a change in the light or feel that you are not alone here.
Your loved one from the spirit world draws close to you now,
Their energy blending with yours,
Their soul meeting with your soul.
As you welcome and allow this loved one from the spirit world,
Just notice how they make themselves known to you.
You may see them,
You may smell a familiar smell associated with them,
You may feel coolness around your feet or your shoulders or you might just know that they are with you.
However they come to you in this moment is right for both of you.
Trust whatever sensations are coming to you right now.
Trust the subtleties.
Trust the energy and if you feel nothing that's fine too,
Just know your loved one is with you in this moment.
Perhaps a memory arises or a phrase that they used to say or a song that they loved.
You may just be enveloped in a feeling of unconditional love to be with them.
You may speak to them in your heart or aloud.
You may hear a message or simply feel comfort.
This is your time.
Spend it with your loved one however you choose.
I will leave you here with your loved one for a few moments and I will let you know when it's time to return.
It is time now to leave this forest.
Your loved one gently turns to you and gives you one more moment of unconditional love.
And now their energy begins to fade as they draw back.
Know that they never truly leave you and that you can come back to this forest,
Back to this stone,
Back to this moment anytime.
Your loved ones are never truly far away.
And as your loved one fades back to the spirit world,
You bring your awareness now back to your surroundings.
Watch the beautiful leaves as they dance on the branches in the breeze.
Feel the cooling strength of that stone underneath your palms.
Feel the warmth of the golden sunshine on your back and shoulders.
You begin to walk now back,
Back among the trees and as you do,
You thank your loved one for being with you today.
Let them know that you are grateful for their presence and that even when you're part,
Their love remains with you.
And as you walk back through this forest,
You feel warmer,
More vibrant as you bring the love of that spirit back with you.
And with each step you take now,
You slowly return back to the present world.
You return back to the present moment as you take another deep breath in and exhale fully.
Bring gentle movement now to your fingers and your toes.
Roll your shoulders and stretch if you wish.
And then when you are ready,
Open your eyes.
