Welcome to a new day, one that you have never experienced before. Let's welcome this new day with 11 minutes of embodied gratitude. Begin your day unhurried, with time to arrive and land together. Choose any shape you like, and spend as much time in movement as your body calls for, as you settle into a little more stillness. You’re welcome to follow my gentle invitations during the practice or explore in your own way. If you practice this regularly, you might be captivated and intrigued by patterns that arise. What are some of the things you are feeling grateful for today? I'd love to hear from you after the practice. Thank you so much for being here. Gentle background music by Leigh Robinson via Pixabay.

Good morning,

Welcome.

Thank you for choosing to frame the beginning of this brand new day.

This day that has never been experienced before.

With this short and sweet gratitude practice.

Allowing yourself full permission to arrive.

To land and settle in.

Choosing any shape,

Any position with your body that feels most supportive,

Most comfortable.

Knowing you can change your mind as many times as you like.

As many times as your body is calling for.

Leaning towards more and more comfort,

Even if it's just a fraction at a time.

And you might find your way into some stillness.

But knowing if a little bit of movement,

Rocking or swaying your body.

Rolling through your head,

Your neck.

Even rolling out through your wrists,

Stretching your fingers out long.

Letting them curl back in.

You can bring some aliveness,

Some awakening to your body with as much movement as feels supportive.

Letting yourself sense this aliveness within your body.

This invitation into embodied presence as you embark on this new day.

And perhaps there is already a sense of gratitude for your breath that has carried you through the evening.

The generosity,

Loyalty,

Nourishment of your breath.

That danced and flowed through your body all through the night.

Perhaps you might like to place your hands over your heart space.

This feeling center of your body.

And what might it be like to offer your heart space some gratitude,

Appreciation,

Perhaps even a sense of wonder.

The way your heart allows you to feel this full spectrum of human emotion.

The warmth,

The coolness,

The pressure,

The sensations you are creating with your hands over your heart space.

A reminder that you are here and present,

About to embark on a new day.

You could explore the sensations and feelings between your body and whatever it is that is underneath you.

Gratitude for that support,

That steadiness.

All of the space that is beneath you.

Perhaps there is a bit of gratitude for the space that is all around you.

The sanctuary that is your home.

Creature comforts,

Nice warm blankets,

Cool sheets.

Letting yourself rest in and with the things that come to mind and body.

As you feel into the people,

The places,

The pets.

The things that bring you into a sense of belonging.

A sense of community,

Of connectedness.

Inviting you to give thanks for something ordinary.

Something easy to rush through.

Can something ordinary today be more extraordinary?

Feeling into your body those sensations.

Tingling,

Aliveness.

Embodying this sense of gratitude.

There might also be a quality within yourself that you could express to others.

That you could express some gratitude for.

What quality or attribute within yourself do you feel grateful for today?

And if you're not sure,

That's okay.

It could be your willingness,

Your openness to spend this time with yourself.

Exploring,

Uncovering,

Discovering the true essence of who you are.

This choice to begin your day with a sense of grounded presence.

There could be something you are looking forward to today.

Something that might be intriguing you,

Drawing you in.

Something you might be curious about.

What are you looking forward to experiencing today?

It might be the mystery of experiencing a day that you've never met before.

A version of yourself that you have never met before.

As a way of gesturing into yourself.

You might wrap your arms around your body.

You could even turn up the corners of your mouth into a gentle smile.

As you welcome in this new day.

Wishing you a day of spaciousness,

Gentleness.

Thank you so much for practicing together.

Take good,

Good care.

Benita, I loved the question about a quality that I am most grateful today. That answer can change often but today it was easy for me. Thanks for giving some much needed perspective and blessings to you 🙏🏻

Benita, I am very grateful for this new track. Thank you! It is gentle, inviting, and the perfect length. I appreciate that you invite us to open up to considering a variety of things- such as the breath during the night, the "ordinary," quality of the self, environment, etc. It is a lovely reminder of all the ways we can tap into gratitude. Highly recommend this track as a gentle, loving way to begin the day. 🪷💛
