Good morning.
This is waking up into your awakened body.
I'm Sarah from Awaken Body and I'm grateful to be starting this day with you.
It's morning here in Israel.
I'm just waking up.
And if you too have tuned in as you are waking up or maybe as a pause in your day,
Wherever you are,
Let's get ready now to drop into the body and let's feel a sense of gratitude.
We are lucky to be alive.
Let's see how we're doing right now,
How vitally alive we are feeling.
So join me now in taking a comfortable seated position,
Sit up nice and tall.
It's good to let a chair or couch support the length of the spine.
Bring a sense of strength into your physical posture and begin to feel vitally alive.
Let's close the eyes now and bring our attention to our breath.
Now these practices are drawn from Jewish tradition because that's my faith tradition.
But whatever your faith tradition,
We are here to use our attention to cultivate a sense of gratitude so that we can feel alive,
Ready to make the most of this day.
So let's do it.
Let's bring our attention now to the breath and begin to lengthen the breath.
Imagine a beautiful bowl in the space of the pelvis and visualize your breath pouring in,
Filling that bowl,
Fill up,
Fill up so much the collarbone extends.
And then as you exhale and the breath leaves the body,
Just softening.
And let's make the texture of this rich liquid pouring into our bowl.
Let's give it the texture of gratitude.
I am lucky to be alive.
Breathing in gratitude.
Breathing out gratitude.
And we'll hold here for 10 breaths.
Feeling grateful to be alive.
Inhale gratitude.
Exhale gratitude.
Monda ani.
I am grateful to be alive.
Now starting at the base of that bowl from your root,
The tenth sphera,
Shkhina,
This plane of existence,
The part of you that is plugged into this physical world from your root,
Beginning your body scan,
Feeling the breath fill the bowl.
And now letting its texture be a texture of awareness,
Like shining the beam of a light bulb.
From the base of the body,
Scanning the feet,
Legs,
Thighs,
Lower limbs,
And then letting that light shine as you climb the ladder of the body.
A body scan for 10 breaths.
Just noticing how you're feeling today.
Where would you rate your vitality on a scale of one to 10?
How lethargic are you?
How fired up are you for this day?
No judgment.
No effort to change what is.
Just 10 breaths to be with yourself as you are right now.
So letting that beam of light fall on the full length of the body,
Noticing any areas of tightness.
And you might want to mark them down in your daily practice journal.
Noticing if you feel density or darkness in any area,
You have the ability to know more about your body than any medical practitioner that you might go to.
Your body is part of you.
And so by doing this daily body scan,
We can gather important information about our own body.
Our own health and wellness.
Now let's close our morning practice by plugging in to source.
The central affirmation of Jewish faith is that all is one.
All is sourced in the one.
So now feeling our rootedness in our pelvic bowl,
Let's grow upward like flowers stretching towards the sun.
Feeling our crown,
Our keter,
Plugged in to source.
Drawing down goodness from the source of life,
Filling up for this day.
Inhale,
Drinking from the sweet nectar of life.
Rahim,
In Jewish tradition,
Amrit,
Prana,
Chi,
Whatever your nomenclature,
10 breaths drawing down from source,
Filling up,
Firing you up for this day.
And let's take this last inhale together,
Letting the breath invite the eyelids to flutter open.
Ready to start this day.
I'm Sarah from Awakened Body.
Thank you for waking up into your awakened body with me today.
Being here to start my day with you inspires me and I hope it inspires you.
I will see you here tomorrow.
If you'd rather do this simple 10 minute practice,
10 breaths in gratitude,
10 breaths of a body scan,
10 breaths plugging into source.
If you'd rather do it with music,
You can download our 10 minute morning practice playlist from awakenedbody.
Org.
You can do it on your own.
If you can't tune in tomorrow,
10 breaths,
10 breaths,
10 breaths.
But I hope to see you right here,
Same time,
Same place.
I hope that you have a blessed day.
I hope that you feel alive today.
I hope that you gather up nuggets of vitality as gifts throughout the course of this day.
And I hope you walk in the awakened body,
Staying plugged in,
Letting the body be your advocate,
Your partner,
Your guide,
Be its biggest cheerleader and fan,
And it will be yours.
More on that at our website,

Blessings on your way.
